This one's about to go 18 innings too.
-
And now I turn my attention to Arizona/Colorado as it enters the bottom of the 16th deadlocked in a 1-1 tie. They've been more efficient with their players though - they've only used 41 combined so far.
-
I can't answer that - I'm fortunate enough not to have any vested interest in either team.
-
Of course they scored - they had Borkowski in there for six innings. Seriously though, nice job by him even if he does get the loss, for holding out so long - he kept his pitch count way down and looked good out there for awhile.
-
Wait... Jason Lane can pitch?
-
And that's player #25 for the Cubs. Good Lord. The camera shots of the sleeping fans on WGN are GOLD. EDIT: And with four pitchers still listed on Houston's reserve sheet, that's 46 players used by two teams as we enter the 18th.

We never hear about the OAOAST anymore.

Well, some of us might. -
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen.

BLASPHEMY! You cannot top the pancakes! ...well, actually, I guess you can top the pancakes... you know, with jam, and syrup... and apparently Nutella. -

It's being invaded by the SWF at present. But we're better wrestlers than WCW. -
It's also noteworthy that before facing the Yankees for five games this week, the Red Sox will first have to contend with Detroit at Fenway for three. Tomorrow it's Beckett vs. Robertson, Tuesday is Schilling vs. Bonderman, and Wednesday is the one I worry about - Wells vs. Verlander.
-
Reds used twenty-three guys.
-
At one point last week (just before we called up Corky Miller as an emergency catcher), the Red Sox had 13 men on the pitching staff... a fact that became painfully obvious when Lowell was held out of the lineup and Mirabelli got hurt and missed a few days, leaving us with precisely one bench player (Kapler) remaining.

I was going to ask if Roger Clemens has ever hit a homer, but I looked it up myself - he hasn't. He does have a few doubles though. Looks like he never did record that stolen base he said he wanted at the beginning of the '05 season.

Also at HeldDOWN, Longdogger Pete addresses the developing situation with Peter Knight. What kind of match will Pete select for their encounter at AngleSlam? Find out this week!

Manny Ramirez (!) hitting streak reaches 25 games.

Well, the Nation can only hope. On the Ortiz/MVP situation - this guy's numbers have gone up every year. After doing a little quick math, he's on pace for 59 homers and 159 RBIs. If he doesn't win, it's because voters will vote against him solely because of his being a DH and ignoring his offensive ability entirely. Seriously. How high do his numbers have to be?

Last month's #1 falls off the list entirely! And the bottom drops out as Stryke goes unbooked for a whole month and leaves the cellar. (It's hard to keep up with all these comings and goings. Yeah. And you smell funny too. -
http://www.letyourcompassguideyou.com/usr/owelles/ So these "podcasts" are just a small portion of the Lost Experience online game, so if you aren't a Lost fan you won't really understand them. But god damn, this radio show host sounds like Thoth.
