True enough. It's easy for me to jump on the bandwagon after watching last night's game in shock. But you're absolutely right, and I agreed from the beginning that it was a great addition to the team. I just think there were more vulnerable areas that should've taken priority, like right field (and I'm not convinced Kielty is the answer there).
Mocking aside, good for Glavine. The guy deserves any attention he gets.
And fortunately for him, the night is all his - no milestone homers from Bonds or A-Rod tonight to share the spotlight with.
Bonds *did* play last night. He just didn't produce.
So Julian Tavarez is pitching tonight in Gabbard's spot, just keeping the spot warm for Schilling, who has been scoreless in three rehab starts for Pawtucket. Gagne should be available tonight.
People need to stop talking about Buchholz like he's already in the rotation. He's not due to come up until next season - maybe some bullpen time this year, but that's it.
Shatner wrote the book where Kirk came back. Not only that, but he kept his character alive through six more books, all written by Shatner, all taking place in the TNG era. However, those books aren't considered canonical.
News out of Comic-Con.
Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) has been cast as young Spock for this movie. Leonard Nimoy will cameo as elder version of Spock. Abrams is in talks to get Shatner into the movie as well. Nobody cast yet for young Kirk.
For those that aren't already aware - the next Star Trek movie is set to release December 2008. J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof are co-writing and producing and Abrams will direct.
Gagne? Do the Red Sox need another closer?
And what are we to do with Dye? Platoon him with Drew?
Are we dealing just to look like we're doing something here?
Help me out here because I'm a little confused. Why was this game "suspended" instead of just rain-shortened? Because the Yankees came from behind and took the lead in the inning the game was suspended in? Meaning the Orioles need the chance to play the bottom of the inning in case they can catch up?
If that's the case, are they just finishing the inning or playing to the end of the game?
