I need your Top 10 Black Sabbath CDs...

Well, damn, I meant top 10 songs. If a mod sees this can you change the title, please?

    Top 100 Metal albums

Among the Living > Persistence of Time. Reason being: "Caught in a Mosh," "Indians," "I Am the Law," "N.F.L.," "Among the Living," and "A Skeleton in the Closet" > than anything on Persistence of Time, except "Got the Time." Persistence of Time still kicks ass, though.

    Whops, double post.

How many of you have played...

Try therage.com, they might still be selling the Dreamcast version. The FPZ is technically better (more moves, season mode, etc.), but FPD has all the American wrestlers unlocked and with right uniform color. For those who aren't in the know, FPZ's American wrestlers had to be made in the CAW feature, which is amazing, probably the best CAW feature in history in any game.

    Keith be damned

The title Shamrock won in Pancrase was not a work. Most of the works were done by Masakatsu Funaki, who was actually pretty good without having to work his matches.

    Keith be damned

No, Ken was having heart palpatations and thought he was having a heart attack, so he told his cornerman, Pete Williams, to throw in the towel.

    Keith be damned

Shamrock's biggest fights: Lost to Royce Gracie via rear naked choke at UFC 1. (11/12/93) Defeated Bas Rutten via submission in Pancrase. (7/26/94) Defeated Maurice Smith via submission in Pancrase. (12/16/94) Defeated Bas Rutten bia kneebar in Pancrase. (3/10/95) Drew Royce Gracie at UFC 5. (4/7/95) Defeated Dan Severn via guillotine choke at UFC 5. (7/14/95) Lost to Dan Severn at UFC 9 via decision. (5/17/96) Lost to Don Frye via split decision at Pride 19. (2/24/02) Lost to Tito Ortiz via fatigue at UFC 40. (11/22/02) I find that to be a commendable record.

    Keith be damned

Hey, don't talk shit about Pancrase. Pancrase is the shit, and a lot of great fighters got there start in Pancrase. The Shamrocks, Bas Rutten, Guy Mezger, Semmy Schilt, Maurice Smith. Closed fists were not allowed and strikes on the ground were not allowed, but knees and kicks standing were still allowed. Shamrock was a great fighter and one should look beyond his bullshit in the UFC and see what a great submission fighter Shamrock was.

    PRIDE Year-in-Review

This is my list of Pride's year-end top 10: 10. Alistair Overeem - Was tough against Lidell, but still needs a win over a top 10 opponent to become a true contender. 9. Anderson Silva - Tough loss against Takase is almost negated by his vicious KO of Carlos Newton. May not be back in Pride though, becuase of falling-out with Chute Boxe. 8. Chuck Liddell - Toughed it out for the UFC in the Pride GP beating Overeem, but was pretty average looking against Rampage. Look for him to make a return this year, possibly against Silva. 7. Hidehiko Yoshida - Proved the naysayers (me included) wrong, as he beat a game Kiyoshi Tamura and then hung on for the decision against Silva. Needs to face top 10 opposition to prove his worth this year. 6. Kazushi Sakuraba - Return was soured by Elvis, and then again by Silva. Beat Randleman with a textbook armlock, which sets up possible matches against Henderson and Bustamante. Sweet. 5. Mirko Filipovic - Blew away the competion all year until he came to Nogueira. Was actually blowing him away until Nog exposed his subpar ground game. Should be right back in it in time for the HW GP, though. 4. Wanderlei Silva - After a long layoff healing his bum knee, Wandy returned with a vengeance beating two more Japanese fighters and savaging Rampage in the MW GP Finals. One has to wonder what he would have done against a fresh Rampage. 3. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira - Came back in spectacular fashion against Cro Cop, after subpar performances against Fedor and Ricco. A rejuvenated Nog could spell trouble for the HW division contenders this year. 2. Fedor Emelianenko - Destroyed Nog, Fujita, and Goodridge this year, but a thumb injury put him on the sidelines before his much anticipated matchup with Cro Cop. Will be fighting Nog in February for the title, so he will be tested immediately upon his return. 1. Quinton Jackson - Beat three of the best fighters in the world in Liddell, Busta, and Randleman, and beat a game veteran in Mikhail Illoukhine. Was controlling the Silva fight before the standup. Look for big things this year from Rampage, with a possible rematch with Silva in the making. Only fighter to fight and win in all Pride events this year. Favorite matches: 1. Fedor vs. Fujita (Pride 26) 2. Tamura vs. Yoshida (Total Elimination) 3. Silva vs. Yoshida (Final Conflict) 4. Liddell vs. Overeem (Total Elimination) 5. Jackson vs. Illoukhine (Pride 26) 6. A.Silva vs. Takase (Pride 26) 7. Nogueira vs. Cro Cop (Final Conflict) 8. Jackson vs. Bustamante (Total Elimination) 9. Fedor vs. Goodridge (Total Elimination) 10. Cro Cop vs. Herring (Pride 26) Sorry, RRR, no Nog vs. Fedor Too much dominance by Fedor, his destruction of Gary was much more fun This year: Expect Pride to rise to new heights this year. Every single event this year was WELL worth 30 dollars and with lots of big matches already on the horizon for next year (Fedor/Nog, Silva/Rampage, Silva/Yoshida, Saku/Hendo, Saku/Busta, Busta/Hendo rematch, Hendo/Silva, Yoshida/top contenders) its mindboggling just thinking about it. And don't forget the HW GP, and Pride's first American show, not to mention Couture wanting a piece of Silva to unify the belts! Yep, things are definitely looking up next year.

I thought Dire Straits was Irish? Does that count?

Going to see UFC 45 live!

Yeah, but Sherdog said the Rizzo/Ricco match sucked, and reading the summary of it, it sure as hell sounded like it did. UFC 45 was pretty dissapointing, but I'd rather order an event and have it suck, then not order an event that looks like it sucks, but turns out to be good. Yaknowwutimean?

    The degeneration of modern music...

In the same vein as Jay-Z's "Me and My Girlfriend", does anybody else hate it when a rapper tries to do some kind of ballad-type rap? 50 Cent's "20 Questions", etc? I haven't liked a rap CD since 2Pac's death (except DMX, but only his first CD was really any good). I know people say gangsta rap got played out, but dammit that was the best shit!

    My... DSL... is... so... slow...

The title says it all. Any solutions? It's been running pretty damn slow lately, compared to its normal lightning quick load times. Now the load times are more like my old dial-up service.

    PRIDE News

I like Fujita, he needs to fight Coleman or someone like that at the Bom-Bay-Ye. Sure it might be boring, but their takedowns and takedown defenses might cancel each other out and force a stand-up brawl. Though I could see Coleman taking him down and not the other way around. Cro Cop will slaughter another pro-wrestler, this time Takayama. Barnett and Schilt will probably end up like last time.

    Horror Movie Tourney

We're down to eight now, guys. Dawn of the Dead vs. Psycho (1960) The Exorcist vs. The Shining Halloween (choice) vs. Friday the 13th (choice) Night of the Living Dead (1968) vs. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

    MMA Herring, Bobish, etc

I thought he was verbally submitting from standing strikes, which I really haven't seen before.

    Book the worst possible ppv!

No shit, I was going to say EXACTLY the same thing, all the way up to the "Oh, wait..." comment! Damn you for stealing my obvious joke Tarwen!

    MMA Herring, Bobish, etc

I'd like to see the HW Grand Prix go like this: Fedor Ricco (UFC) Cro Cop Nog Herring Frye Vovchanchyn Coleman Only thing is most of these guys have fought each other before. And Fujita being the only Japanese fighter at HW would eliminate somebody more deserving, which is sad.
