Hey, Cancer Marney. Shut the Fuck Up! SpiderPoet seems like a decent enough guy around the board, so get off his fucking nuts about something he believes in you facetious bitch. I think if I worked with you or went to school with you, you would have been bitch-slapped by me by now. States with most Civil War battles: 1. Virginia: 2,154 2. Tennessee: 1,462 3. Missouri: 1,162 4. Mississippi: 772 5. Arkansas: 771 I think I should make it a point to include a Civil War fact in all my posts.

For the first time in SmartMarks history, 64 horror movies will battle one another to find out which of them has the right to be called the greatest ever! I picked the 64. If your favorite isn't included, sorry. You'll also notice some dogs in there, but it's a freakin' horror movie tournament, you can't expect top-notch quality. No "classic" horror films. Only "modern" movies included. Still confused? Read this: http://www.esplatter.com/reviewsotos/stellar_66.htm It was written by the best horror movie webmaster on the net, and the summary at the top about his list basically sums up the criteria for the tourney. Only vote once, vote on every matchup, you guys have voted in enough tourneys to know the rules. In the event of a tie, I will use the higher scored movie from the Internet Movie Database, for lack of anything better to use. The winners will be announced every Friday and the next round will start in the same thread. The winner will be announced on Halloween. Pretty creepy, huh? Now, "Let's get it on!!!" - Psycho vs. Jason Goes to Hell The Fog vs. Day of the Dead The Omen vs. Silver Bullet Cemetary Man vs. Halloween II Night of the Living Dead (1968) vs. Prom Night Re-Animator vs. Phantasm Dawn of the Dead vs. Friday the 13th Part 2 Texas Chainsaw Massacre vs. Scream 2 The Exorcist vs. Friday the 13th Part 3 Fright Night vs. Blair Witch Project Evil Dead vs. Phantasm 2 Bram Stoker's Dracula vs. Friday the 13th Rosemary's Baby vs. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Hellraiser vs. Wes Craven's New Nightmare Army of Darkness vs. Halloween IV The Return of Michael Myers Nightmare on Elm Street vs. Child's Play Alien vs. Friday the 13th Part 7 The New Blood Black Christmas vs. The Howling Carrie vs. Halloween H20 An American Werewolf in London vs. Hills Have Eyes Halloween vs. Friday the 13th The Final Chapter From Dusk Til Dawn vs. Creepshow Evil Dead 2 vs. Children of the Corn The Beyond vs. Zombie The Shining vs. Hallowen 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers Return of the Living Dead vs. Candyman Suspiria vs. I Know What You Did Last Summer Scream vs. Pet Semetary The Thing vs. Friday the 13th Part 6 Jason Lives Lost Boys vs. Night of the Living Dead (1990) Dead Alive vs. Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master Near Dark vs. Nightmare on Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors Happy voting! If you can't remember if you've seen some of these movies, just go here: http://www.esplatter.com/main/666.htm It has summaries on all of the movies in the tournament.

The top five bloodies Civil War battles: Gettysburg, PA - 51,112 Chickamauga, GA - 34,624 Chancellorsville, VA - 30,099 Antietam, MD - 26,134 The Wilderness, VA - 25,416
-
Uhhhh... Antietam was the bloodiest single day of the war. The Union suffered 12,410 casualties (2,108 killed outright), while the Confederacy suffered 13,724 casualties (2,700 killed outright). Popular myth about this battle: 25,000 Americans were killed in this battle. About 4,800 were killed the day of Sept. 17, the date of the battle, while more died later on from their wounds, but in no way shape or form did almost 25,000 soldiers die that day. Don't let your instructors tell you otherwise

I haven't heard anything about it, til now. I plan on picking it up mos def, though.

Which is reason enough to have a different tournament. *Ahem*, "Twat." -

I just felt it would be unfair to compare movies that are obviously superior (many classic movies) to movies that aren't as superior technical wise, but still have massive followings (Evil Dead, NOLTD series, slasher flicks, etc.) Now shut the fuck up and quit bitching. Next time, read the whole post before you run your mouth. Bitch. -

Good idea. How about Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Hellraiser series be lumped into one nomination a piece. Look at it like you are choosing your favorite film from each series when you vote. (In that case, all of them would be the first except Friday the 13th, IMO) -

Thanks for reminding me. The new thread is now up. -
I just lurk and add my two cents in on subjects when it's not needed. See you around!

Also, you have to consider the fact that most Confederate soldiers didn't even own slaves. Most of the southern slave owners didn't fight, and if they did, usually as officers or in other similar capacties. Let's not even start the argument about the myth that the war was fought to free slaves. I doubt most soldiers on the northern side really cared about whether slaves were free or not. It's not like if you were opposed to slavery you automatically supported the black race. Hell, even Abraham Lincoln suggested a theory early in his first term about giving an island in the Caribbean to ex-slaves and freedmen.

Hey, hate on racing all you want, but I thouroughly enjoy it, and am in the process of winning 345 dollars from it in the next few weeks. Racing is the easiest sport to bet on.

Thanks, El Satanico. Mwahahahahaha, I'm coming for you, you bastards!

Topic says it all. Needless to say it pisses me off, what with the changing of homepages and such.

You mean NAMBLA's real? Dear God.

I hated the Eagles last year, most overrated team in the league at the beginning, until they started to impress me more towards the end of the year. Rush is gone! Great now just get rid of the worthless Michael Irvin and put somebody competent in his place and I'll be happy.

The RIAA will now notify music copyright violators before suing. http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_...tent_id=1990004 IMO, this is better for music downloaders, because not only do they have a 1 in one million chance of getting caught, they now have the added bonus of if they get caught they are notified in advance instead of just being sued outright. Perhaps this means one could clear out their library upon notification or face suing.

That list is almost exaxctly like Guitar Magazine's Top 100 list. Like the top 50 are exactly the same.

Pride Grand Prix Bracketing TODAY

No, just by a bunch of guys who want to be the first to post a rumor without using a reliable source. Anyone else want to come to Yoshida's funeral on the 9th? -
Sapp's next fight is against Remy Bonjasky in the K-1 tournament. I think it will be at least a few months before we see Tyson in the ring against a seasoned K-1 fighter like Hoost, LeBanner, or Sapp. That reminds me, next Saturday is the K-1 PPV, and it looks rockin'! Too bad Cro Cop and Hunt can't be in it, but it still looks sweet. I see Ignashov against Hoost in the finals.

What is the origin of everyone's forum user name?
AboveAverage484 replied to AboveAverage484's topic in General Chat
Your name's Iker? That's a pretty wicked name. -
The origin of my name is pretty much the same as Saturn's. I have no intention of changing mine, though.
