SWF SMARKDOWN, APRIL 19th!!
Lightning Flik replied to 5_moves_of_doom's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I'd like to think of it as just being simplistic. -
And this game has had almost nothing being called. It's absolutely insane. And I'm sorry, I want Calgary vs. Toronto now. So... GO LEAFS GO~!!!

I was born in Edmonton. I was then raised for eleven and a half years in a place called Redwater, Alberta. Then I moved to St. Alberta, Alberta for six and a half years. Only now living in Edmonton for nearly seven months. Does the above tell you where I'm from? If not, the answer your question, no. However, for safety sake, I do say I just come from Edmonton. You know, to make it easier on you guys. [/of me playing off of the WWE stupidity of changing where you are from after announcing it that way for years] Am I going to Backlash? Fuck no. I'm broke. So I won't be seeing Backlash. Edit: To get my post back on track. Congrats to Benoit on getting a day named after himself. Probably when he retires, we can expect to see Jasper Ave renamed Benoit Ave.

WWE Puts And End To Another Interpromotional Match
Lightning Flik replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Because TNA didn't likely have a TV deal with Fox Sports. You know, if WWE is being this cautious about letting their wrestlers lose to TNA wrestlers, does that not say TNA might be getting that deal for sure? -
As I had mentioned previously. If you are midcard or less in overness, you can usually sign them to a written contract. Just sign them to your company first on an open contract, make sure they have high overness, and you'll sign them in most cases. This can also work for uppercards, but not always. If the person who wish to hire onto a company higher than you, usually forget it unless they are absolutely must have. As you'll end up shelling out so much cash, it is nuts. As for the stealing, I'd prefer TEW, because I think people would soon get loyal to me and not leave my ass. I hate that about EWR. Thankfully Jonny C (WLW) and Austin Lee (SW) haven't left my ass for new glory. Because you are competiting (indirectly) against Ring of Honor, Combat Zone Wrestling, and FLI (as if I'm spelling out their whole name). Hence, boost your production values to above what RoH has, and also have your advertising 10% of what you have. It also helps to get a TV show as RoH and CZW both have those. Thus making them "better" than you for that. If you can't get a TV show, go Weekly PPV till you can (and then switch back to regular PPV), as you need to put on something Weekly. Once again, this will mean you will probably have to hire people on permanently, thus you'll have to build up your midcarders and superstars, and pretty much leave any MEs you can't land alone. Also, it wouldn't be a bad thing to have like kick ass shows. Not good shows for cult level. But kick ass. If you have to scrap a match or two to get your more charisamatic stars on to pump up ratings, do so. Just makes you look better in the end.

^ that's really all I got to say. Ok, not. I admit that subliminal message was a pretty good one. Too bad no one noticed it.
-
You can get anyone to sign at any point. As long as you are having increased PI and cash flow, you can sign anyone to a written contract. Just has to be Midcard or lower. Uppercard or higher and they'll think themselves to big for your company. By midcard, I mean micard overness. I've managed to sign people to contracts at Small. So it is possible at any level (I'm assuming backyard as well, but I make no profit, so I can't say).

the mighty WWE SMACKDOWN WORKRATE REPORT-4/15/2004
Lightning Flik replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I was expecting you to see you clamour up the German Suplex RVD busted out. Since you know, he hasn't since like forever. Yet, I see no clamouring. I'm disappointed DEAN. Good to have you back. I marked out when I saw your report. -
I don't think the WWE is that stupid. Since my hometown (and Benoit's) did this, I'm quite certain the WWE wouldn't go out of its way to piss everyone off. Besides, you give the title to Triple H but he leaves for filming. You give it to Michaels? No. He'll probably turn heel on Benoit after the match.

I'd say ... Wow, it has been awhile since I've thought of a really good one. HHH vs. Foley/Cactus Jack in 2000(?), before Foley semi-retired. This I believe is because hell. I don't remember a better feud that was built so well. Everything seemed right about this match. Shit, I bought the last match to the encounter, and it was a great rivalry. Hell, I'd nearly, and I do mean nearly, say it was one of the best feuds ever... Of course, I'm going to get argued for that belief. But I do believe so.

Bite me... I'm still not feeling well and I had to get the voting done up for my [WARNING: SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT] RPG Tourneys of Good and Evil. Round three for both of them is now underway, so I'm happy about that.
-
I am happy to announce there were no ties in the 2nd Round of the Hero Tourney. Third Round will be up momentarily.

Round One has completed and was a smashing success~! We saw many interesting matchups, a lot of Final Fantasy Characters get smashed out of the tourney, the greatest comeback victory of the first round (Fei Fong Wong down 6-0 on votes to win 9-6), also the hardest fought battle (Chaz downed Ryudo), and 4 squash matches. But now we move onto bigger and more interesting matchups as we continue our way to the True Hero~!!! Round 2 of the Evil Tourney: 2k4 Edition
Lightning Flik replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
There were six ties in this Round. The eliminations is the differential between Votes For and Votes Against from last round. Leon vs. Lassic ~ And apparently my first match up is a DRAW~!!! Henceforth, I must use my all mighty wisdom to determine who the hell advance... Leon was formerly a member of your party, whereas Lassic is not. Lassic advances. Yes, that's quite brutally painful, but I had to do it. And you could make the case that he plays a minor role for PSIV, but it was a cameo to tie the series in people. Death vs. Kuja ~ That's right, our second match also went to a draw, but maybe VD will solve this match up. If not, Kuja advances. Apparently, Death will advance to the next round as he has only one vote against. Kuja had five against. Piastol vs. Dragonlord ~ If VD results in a draw, Dragonlord will advance. Apparently, Dragonlord has the VD as well. Dragonlord advances. Whereas Piastol had 7/7 hence no VD to save her life. Sephiroth vs. Luca Blight ~ Yes, people. This is ultimately going to be cruel to one side of the voters or the other. Just for the record, should the VD tie, Sephiroth advances as Blight gets killed off half way through. Apparently, due to Blight winning his first round without a vote against, his VD is absolutely assured him a victory! What an amazing turn of events, as I never would've figured Luca Blight could take down Sephiroth! Kefka has been avenged by his fellow psychopath! Id vs. Zoma ~ Should there be a draw in VD, Zoma will advance due to the fact he is the final boss of Dragon Warrior 3 and the focal point of the game. Yes, Id is a focal point of Xenogears, however, Id is not the final boss. Apparently, Zoma also has the VD as well. Winning slightly with only two votes against, and Id having four votes against. Romeo Gildensturn vs. Rameriz ~ Our final battle for the ties. Is it only me, or did someone from Squaresoft rip Gildensturn from Hamlet? Anyways, if VD should tie, Gildensturn advances. Yes, I said that right. Gildensturn advances. Apparently, VD is a draw, hence Gildensturn advances. I will post up Round 3 as soon as I'm able to. However, you know some results already. How nice of me. -
Ok... Since we had 14 votes for the first round of the Evil Tourney, I will reveal just how the hell some of the people advanced from the first round from a tie. Their importance is the key factor. If they are a major player in a storyline or plot device, they get the nod. If they are a boss or enemy, their difficulty to face them is factored in, as well as where you meet them in the game. This is only used for the first round, and second round, all ties will be the differential voting aspect that I told you in the Hero Tourney. And yes, I know I will take a hell of a lot of flack for the way that this will be handled. Simply because I've gotta make some awfully hard choices and no one will be totally satisfied with the outcomes. If any of you wish to know the reason for why I made the decision of who, I will explain. The Hero Tourney Round 3 and The Evil Tourney Round 3 will be put side by side this coming Friday. Hence why there is no Hero Tourney right now. If you are wondering WHY it took this long to get this going again, it is because I had something really heavy crash down on my head. The end time to this voting process will be once again this Thursday at 8pm EST. Anyways, here's your match ups for this week: Leon - Final Fantasy 2 vs Lassic/Lashiec – Phantasy Star 1, 4 Death – Castlevania (Series) vs Kuja – Final Fantasy 9 Miang – Xenogears vs Luc - Suikoden 3 Emerald - Final Fantasy 7 vs Ganondorf -- Legend of Zelda (Series) Yuber - Suikoden (Series) vs Grahf – Xenogears Piastol - Skies of Arcadia: Legends vs Dragonlord - Dragon Warrior Dracula – Castlevania (Series) vs Zeromus – Final Fantasy 4 Albedo – Xenosaga vs Rufus Shinra – Final Fantasy 7 Sephiroth - Final Fantasy 7 vs Luca Blight - Suikoden 2 Harken - Wild Arms vs Ultros - Final Fantasy 6 Id – Xenogears vs Zoma - Dragon Warrior 3 Behemoth – Final Fantasy Series vs Loki - Valkyrie Profile Jowy Blight - Suikoden 2 vs Hargon - Dragon Warrior 2 Romeo Gildensturn - Vagrant Story vs Ramirez - Skies of Arcadia Diablo – Diablo vs Barbarosa – Suikoden Ruby - Final Fantasy 7 vs Kain – Final Fantasy 4 Queen Zeal - Chrono Trigger vs Delita - Final Fantasy Tactics Culex – Super Mario RPG vs Sydney - Vagrant Story Lich - Final Fantasy 1 vs Sin – Final Fantasy 10 Mother - Wild Arms vs Master Belch – Earthbound Altima - Final Fantasy Tactics vs Chaos – Final Fantasy I Cactuar – Final Fantasy (Series) vs Seymour- Final Fantasy 10 Kahran Ramsus – Xenogears vs Azala - Chrono Trigger Necrosaro - Dragon Warrior 4 vs Galcian - Skies of Arcadia Slime - Dragon Warrior Series vs Ozzie - Chrono Trigger Wendy – Suikoden vs Vicks - Final Fantasy 6 Wedge – Final Fantasy 6 vs Gilgamesh - Final Fantasy 5 Ghaleon - Lunar (Series) vs Lynx - Chrono Cross Deus – Xenogears vs Magus - Chrono Trigger Scalding Coffee Cup – Earthbound vs Don Corneo – Final Fantasy 7 Leo - Lunar 2 vs Tiamat - Final Fantasy 1 Golbez – Final Fantasy 4 vs Bowyer – Super Mario RPG

I'm not. Kippy was the greatest out there and was lucky when he needed it. And I'd rather take a lucky goalie than a good one. Lucky (Kippy) always manages to win, while a good (Auld) one can win but not as well. And I'm sorry to say it, but Hedberg is done for the rest of the series. Whether it is tomorrow in Calgary or Monday in Vancouver, Hedberg will not be playing in goal as Auld showed he was definitely the go to guy. A little shaky, but what do you expect from being put in a hell of a implication of a game. Kudos to Auld for showing up and putting on a hell of a performance. I must also say both fucking teams need to calm their asses down. Cause man, sloppy penalties ahoy on both sides. And if Vancouver wants to win next game, they need some goals on even strength. Out of all the goals they've scored in this series, only ONE was on even strength.

Ahem... If I remember correctly, I was on Atlanta last year. Hence my joking reply.
-
This is the Episode of Smackdown we all have been waiting for... All for the wrong reasons!
-
WTF? I'm dead weight? I carried your damn offense last year buddy. I'm now glad I left with a comment like that. The above post has been brought to you by Sarcasm and this poster.
-
I'm amazed Canucks haven't gotten their asses bit for all the giveaways they've given. Yeesh...
-
Shitty playing by both teams here. And the refs aren't being very nice either. However, the blood is starting to boil over. I really liked the battle brawl at the end of the first.
-
It's just I'd have to unpush, Jonny C and Austin Lee. I don't want them getting mad with me.
-
The Canucks apparently are a little shaky with Hedberg's play and don't believe in them. Hence, Flames will take the series.
