5 Greatest Intercontinental Champions
MillenniumMan831 replied to Darth Vader's topic in General Wrestling
I got a kick out of that match featuring a Dusty finish when JJ originally won the match much to the shock of the crowd. -
I've caught bits and pieces of First Take . . . it's pretty much Cold Pizza with a sleaker more SportsCenterish presentation. And I am HATING this Rundown on SC itself. At least get rid of the gray SC bar at the top of the screen which serves no purpose.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Well, at least he was objective -
So, the Indians' protest to Saturday's game got denied yesterday which pretty much means the umpires can add runs for a team at any time during the game regardless of when the run(s) in question have been scored.

Double trouble.

I can't stand his lisp. EDIT --- Oh wait, that's the old dude I'm thinking of. Nevermind.

Mo Vaughn's POUNCE was awesome!

Yeah, the streaming still being at YouTube level kinda bites but the 300ish K quality doesn't translate too badly when the pc is hooked up to the tv. The interviews are a nice touch. CM Punk marking out at the Dragon/Austin match is fun as is the match itself. Though they cheaped out by only putting on 9 new matches (I'm even including the recycled matches w/ added commentary as 'new'). Also, kinda weird to hear Josh Matthews narrate the Bash at the Beach main event video package. And in a rather geeky move on my part, I'm working on making a database w/ every segment offered on WWE 24/7 Online as I've saved all the links in WMP. Then, I renamed the segments so they'd sort in chronological order. Now, I've been having to copy and paste each renamed link one-by-one onto a word doc. I'm onto 1997 so far and still have about 1/2 the list to go.

I love how Cena was more worried about facing the camera than just dumping Khali w/ the FU.

Was that Deuce at 4:50?

I'd be surprised if Wang and Senshi didn't form a wacky TNA tag team.

I don't think that's gonna hold up in court.

Not the best sample, but whatever: Jarrettnwa.mp3

Sounds like Grisham is doing a horrible Jason Roberts doing a horrible Howard Finkel impression out there.

Chris Benoit vs MVP for the US Title has just been announced for Backlash per wwe.com

I always thought WWE dropped the ball w/ this match. At the time, the WWE Champion would float among shows and a Triple Threat WWE Title match was scheduled for ppv a couple weeks later between Taker/Rock/Angle. This would have been a perfect opportunity to convey the ANYTHING can happen environment by having Hardy win the title. He could take it to SD that week, be goaded into a title match by Angle, lose it, and make the Vengeance ME a 4-Way. Rock would still win the title and Taker can cream Hardy every week for a year for all anyone would care but the fans and Hardy would always have that moment. And I'm not even a Jeff Hardy fan.

I'm assuming you're referring to this tune. hulk.mp3

UFC 70: Nations Collide on SpikeTV
MillenniumMan831 replied to starvenger's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Not to be a smartass, but do you really think after that snoozer of a fight, Arlovski would get a title shot before Cro Cop (who, also did not put on the best of performances but would at least have the Revenge angle working for him if Gonzaga becomes champ)? -
Here ya go. FYI, the Full Metal theme was actually used by Goldust for a month or two before he used this one. Goldust2.mp3

I've thought that for years!!! The Hollywood Blonds were so over despite getting no push from management. Imagine how different wrestling would be if the Blonds had become horsemen and after a major push, split with Austin and flair feuding? But no, we get the Dungeon of Doom and the Booty Man.....god I hate Hogan. No push from management? They were the tag champs for virtually all of their run.

Hack Myers punches "SHAW!" . . . opponent punches "SHIT!"

We Don't Care says TNA. The crowd retorts with Boring. Its a shame since this ppv was pretty solid going into this match.
