I still have visions of a lean, mean Giant coming to the ring at Fall Brawl 1995 leaping over the ropes 3 times (there was two rings) to get to Hogan. Incredible at the time.
-
I was thinking the very same thing. But I guess RVD did set the table up in the first place if you really wanted to get nitty picky.
-
That was a nice, slick tag match right there.

Mel Gibson... Now Kramer??!!

No wonder he helped Mr. Morgan get fired. -
I don't think it would have been too much to ask to just have NO DQ/CO implied in ECW. Not to say every match would or should be a bloodbath, but if RVD needed to use a Van Daminator w/ a chair every now and again, he wouldn't have to worry about being DQed. If the match breaks down like Lashley/Holly did last week, it could still be thrown out as a No Contest (as even the original ECW did this from time to time).

*PUKES HARD* The key to it sucking to be a Browns fan is that almost every game they play is competitive and gets the city thinkin they have a chance . . . only for something like THAT to happen.
-
And Browns GM Phil Savage wonders why there's a "Woe is me" attitude in Cleveland. *Has the bucket poised and ready*

It was bad enough for the Browns to hand the Ravens a last second win earlier this year, but if they do the same to PIT, I'm gonna puke.

UFC 65: GSP vs Hughes II
MillenniumMan831 replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I'm no Hughes fan, but just because the kicks didn't look like something out of America's Funniest Home Videos doesn't mean they didn't hurt like hell. -
Being a Browns fan is gonna put me in the grave. The Browns show a flash of greatness in one play and a flash of idocy in the next. This has gone on all day long.

Yeah, that 1/91 show was definitely messed up. I did love how Heenan got his "And I'm your host Bobby the Brain Heenan" line in at the beginning of the show. Fuck, Mooney was so awful. Though, I did dig the Santana/Koko match. Also on CV's Supertape IV (or maybe III, I can't remember).

UFC 65: GSP vs Hughes II

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the two nutshots Hughes had to absorb. Not that it made a difference in the outcome in the fight, but it had our viewing room cringing. -

Big thanks for posting that interview. Would definitely love an audio file of that if possible.

Ultimate Fighter Season 4 the thread...
MillenniumMan831 replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I think it was a little overexposed. Season 3 was tremendous but it seemed like a 2 week break before Season 4 kicked off. Plus, w/ the exemptions of Shonie and Serra, the personalities were kinda weak. Probably because most of them were more mature than the youngins and didn't want to make a complete spectacle of themselves on Spike. Herego, not as much interest in the finale. Bring back some drunks for Season 5. -
Despite using the same music, they were an on-again off-again team at the time.

Davey Boy Meltzer reports the rating as a 1.1 -
Judging by last week's promo, Burke has a lot of 1998-99 Chris Jericho in him so it could be a breath of fresh air.

what wrestler used to do that? Barry Horowitz. And DX get ANOTHER final appearance. edit: Guys, hit some pedigrees too!! what was his final record...I remember it being hyped as 2-500 or something like that back in 95 In WWF, I think he won at least five. Three against Skip. One against Hakushi One reversal of decision against Owen Hart. When did he beat Owen Hart? He also pinned Jose Luis Rivera in MSG 4/88. I believe it aired on Prime Time.

They wrestled on SuperStars in 1992 after WMVIII. Flair pinned Slaughter when The Mountie zapped Slaughter w/ the shockstick.

So, I take it "Extreme Rules" are dead in ECW on SciFi. -
IIRC, it was the preshow at IYH 1.
