I'm really surprised my local Rochester press hasn't picked up on the story, so I emailed it to a local sports columnist who occasionally mentions WWE in his columns. I found out at work that one of my managers actually knew him as a kid growing up in Caledonia, the neighboring town. He's about the same age. He hadn't heard the news at all, and he still lives in Cappotelli's hometown, where the Flava is a small town hero, having played on one or two state championship football teams and going on to play college ball before winning Tough Enough 3.

I think it'd be a fun little thing for the weekend, probably the closest I'd ever get to professional wrestling.

Edge/Flair I imagine. At least by throwing a few midcarders in the chamber it makes the rest of the card better. Last years New Year's Revolution had the worst undercard of the year of any PPV. I know the Bash is felt to be worst PPV of the year, but my God did last NYR suck until the Chamber match.

Sophmore year of high school I did a research paper on the history of professional wrestling, think I got an A. Senior year I wrote a paper comparing Beowulf to HHH, with less stellar results. I think I got a C on that one.

Yea but it's no where close to actual viewership of Smackdown! Smackdown! is seen by more people than RAW, as the network ratings are a little different IIRC.

I thought it was a kickass parody. Most people should have picked up on that fast. Only 40 year old women would defend Nash like that and be serious, as evidenced by the photos of his fan club dinner at his website.

I do not see a Boogeyman-Warrior connection at all. On the other hand, Batista shaking the top rope and Rey shaking the second in unison was a great moment, and much more Warrior like than the Boogeyman.
