I'm not sure which was the lamer attempt at e-coolness, the above post or that incredibly pathetic Matisyahu post a couple days ago. Ugh.

Maybe Houston is hoping to get as lucky trading for an Atlanta backup as Green Bay did about 15 years back. Of course, GB didn't give up that much either.

He can work well with the Chinese as well! Yes, he had some experience. Even Bush Jr had a little. But, while a Gore/Obama Admin presumably wouldn't have the kind of GI Joe doll naievety of Bush/Cheney, we have seen what problems might arise with an Administration lacking in some serious military/foreign policy credentials. Gore/Obama would certainly be better than our current leadership but either one with a Clark or Richardson would be far better. And, either way, I still maintain that Gore would be happier & better for the global warming problem as either a Cabinet member or outside of politics. Back to today's big topic - Has John Edwards ever looked more 'Presidential' than he did this afternoon?

As was Obama. But Gore's primary, and possibly sole, focus is on global warming. As an outsider or a Cabinet head he can continue to focus entirely on that subject without getting into the nastiness of campaigning that so scarred him in 2000. Gore NOT as President is in the best interests and desires of Gore himself, and should be considered in the best interests of those at the forefront of the global warming crisis.

Gore as head of EPA or something like that would be about perfect for both him and his cause. It would give him the added clout of that office, raise the level of the office with his name, and still allow him to focus on what he wants to. If either Gore or Obama ends up with the Dem nomination the best VP option for both would be someone with war/military/foreign affairs experience. Richardson, Clark, or someone of their ilk would provide a good balance for Gore or Obama's anti-Iraq stance and lack of experience in that area.

    Campaign 2008

No. Gore likes being the center of attention of his primary issue, global warming. He is at the top of his chosen mountain and that satisfies his ego. If he were elected President with someone as charismatic/etc as Obama as Veep he would once again be shadowed. In his current position, Gore is basically the 'President' for his cause, he's doing swell financially, and he feels like (and probably is) doing an important/historical service. He is in a Bryan position where people feel much better for him after his 'loss' 7 years ago but he has the added twist of being on the correct side of his twilight issue vs. Bryan who was made a fool in the Scopes trial. He would have no interest in being overshadowed as president & he presumably realizes that his major cause would have to take a backseat to the rest of his workload. Obama certainly doesnt want the Vice Presidency. He knows he has a real chance for top honors and I highly doubt he would ride shotgun to a drone like Al Gore. Obama is a very idealistic man and with his charisma he is the closest America has had to another Bobby K-type since 1968. His issues & his talents and gifts serve him best as either President or in the Senate, not as VP. A combo of Gore/Obama is as bad a matchup (not to mention highly unlikely or impossible) as either of them paired up with Hilary Clinton. It would not be in the interests of either politician and personal interest plays no small role in Presidential campaigns.

Matt Drudge was a bit off with his Edwards campaign obit in bright red letters. This could make Fox & the Republicans who didnt say anything about Ann Coulter's incredibly retarded comments look even worse.

I was anti-Oscar until the last three rounds with Vargas. He won me over with that. I still wanted Mosely to win their rematch, though. Tuesday Night Fights was great. Its been close to fifteen years but I think they had the Kevin Kelley-Troy Dorsey fight where they threw about a million punches. Too bad the run ended with a fucking Butterbean fight. In a few weeks we'll have Wed & Fri night fights on Espn2 and Thurs nights on VS. to go with the HBO/Showtime/ppv/occasional FSN/hopefully ABC coverage.

I think the actual response to Nile's performance will be monkeystomping for the emo twits that get in the way. Unless it's all emo twits, then Agent's b) option comes to fruition.

The GB O-line is already far better than either Houston or Oakland and could be among the the NFL as early as this year.

He'd be a one-season understudy for arguably the greatest quarterback ever with a practically guranteed starting/leader role from '08 on with what could/should/will be a far better team than either you just mentioned.
