Lose by 34, close; what's the difference?

Jerk, did you believe everything else that McCain operatives said during/after the campaign or just the bad stuff about Palin?
-
I thought you didn't like the straw men?

Sarah Palin is eerily similar to the Obama of the right. Yes, she is a less intelligent version but the stuff we've heard from the McCain staff is far from believable. Palin can draw huge, passionate crowds (and, since a string of embarassments, the energy has been positive) and we have all seen what this ability can be parleyed into. I'm not saying that she's as smart as Obama but she is as charismatic and just as good a politician. There is nobody else in the Republican party that can draw the kind of crowds that Palin can. She didn't Quayle or Edwards her debate. She has four years to make up for the Couric interview and the shopping spree. And, sometime before '12, she'll have a successful book ghostwritten for her.

Obviously, the Liberal Media hasn't mentioned the country since April. But, I think that it might have played a bit of a role in the economic downturn.

A three trillon dollar war, trillions added to the debt, very little in the way of tax cuts for the full populace, expansion of the girth and span of the federal government, an unrelenting focus on social issues that require even more laws/regulations/money...

Will it help if I say that the huge govt policies of the past eight years wasn't conservatism, again?

I liked the jazz phrasing that Kerouac came to incorporate in his books following his Wolfe impression with Town/City. I liked how it exposed the lives and lifestyles of people that were often kept quiet, especially in the 1940s and 50s. I can understand if it's too confusing or abstract or whatever, but dull seems like the wrong word to use for an exhuberant, hyper travelogue. I find it awfully hard to label a book that drove millions of people from comfort and into their own adventures in America and throughout the world to be dull. Are you sure you're not confusing "dull" with "bad grammar"?

I dont think I've ever seen On the Road referred to as dull before.

What we saw under Bush Jr wasn't conservatism. Not even close.
