I'd imagine the idea was that if we weren't in Iraq, the military could have been used to actually help America. I agree that bringing them all home to save the day would have been impossible. The point was probably that because Bush was focused on nonsense there was no possibility of actually helping the homefront at the time of real need. They should have put the video behind an old U2 song. And not done it more than a year later. And not involved the new Kiss.

I fail to see how the premise of the video is bad. But the song is really terrible.

I mentioned it several days ago. Finally, some more of the Barry Goldwater vibe returns to DC.

Heh. Sopp/JesseJames are more entertaining than DX. Which is sad really. -
That's the funniest thing I've read in weeks.

What's the autographed baseball story?

And Vince presumably wont learn a thing from this.

Barring something incredible tomorrow night, Cotto-Paulie was the FOTY. I guess, having grown up watching boxing, I think most of the belts look cool. But I can see how they'd look ridiculous to others.

What were the ONS buyrates again?

Give Lohan, Spears and Hilton a name

I don't try to be a heel at all ... let alone "really hard". And I didn't scold anyone. Just called it as I saw it. Okay, great. Did you fit that post in between defending Nickelback because "they move units" and calling a sports talk station to say "you never played the game"? And all that "Leena qualities as a messageboarder" repeated bullshit. -

He is very consistent about forgetting that though this is a wrestling messageboard we don't need somebody to always try really hard to be a 'heel'. -
With the amount of money being spent by teams this offseason, GWB would make a perfect choice for commisioner to preside over the shopping spree.

Too bad 'The Meatpuppets' is taken. -
I guess that's why everyone liked Ike back in the day.

Did Conkrite get 58,000 woodys in the 1960s?

I can see him breaking both this year as well and if he plays next season, both definitly. He will also probably break the career completions (Marino, of course) mark this season.
-
For the record, Favre needs 11 tds to break Marino's record & 13 to break Blanda's. The brilliant Dr Z has gone on the record saying that Favre was one bad season away from eclipsing Blanda's record and not being a first-ballot hall of famer. Blanda himself made it on the first ballot.
-
I actually liked that show, though I know I am the minority.
-
Which records will be broken this year? LT for tds in a season? Brett Favre for touchdown passes in a career? Brett Favre for interceptions in a career?

I might go to the Govt Mule show in Madison next Thursday, depending on how much I spend on Xmas crap this weekend. I doubt it will dissapoint if I do go.

Newt fucking Gingrich has now called it a civil war. Bill O Reilly, the oft-tarded man that he is, says that NBC is rooting for America to lose by calling this a civil war.

Has anyone suggested that Obama uses a ghostwriter? I haven't heard that yet, but won't be surprised to. I know JFK's (no, Jerk, I'm not comparing Obama to JFK) Profiles in Courage is always mentioned as possibly ghostwritten. And John Ehrlichman went to his grave feeling that John Dean's books (Blind Ambition in particular) were ghostwritten.

Between the huge spending, the Patriot Act, wished for federal-control of all wombs, and nation-building (among other things)...can anyone argue that the Republican Party has not become the home for Big Govt?
