We have debates now. Presidential candidates should probably understand that. I dont expect you to, though, Marvin.
-
Wouldn't make much of a president if he can't even debate his opponent.
-
Bill Clinton was two presidential terms ago.
-
Tickets sold out in a couple of hours today, grossing 17 million dollars. It will be the second biggest live gate in boxing history. It'll probably top 2 million ppv buys, too.
-
Ask your candidate about that, it's his ploy.

I don't recall a more weak campaign move than what John McCain is doing right now. After being in DC for a few decades, he decides he wants to finally do something in the midst of his own presidential campaign. How can this even be defended? Imagine if Reagan would've pleaded not to debate Carter in 1980 because of the Iran hostages or if Bob Dole would have stayed in the Senate and said, "Bob Dole's busy, you go on without me Bill." If you want to be a Senator, be a Senator. If you want to be President, you run for it even when you're losing. If you want to do something about the economy, you should've done it when you had decades to work on it.

I dont think Green Bay can win in Tampa. They're making way too many mistakes and Harris being out wont help.

panthermatt, Dick Lugar was and still is a Republican. I know you like to believe that Obama has never worked on any legislation because you read it on the internet, or something, but the facts disagree with you. One of the people he worked on legislation with was the aforementioned Dick Lugar.

Not Jesse Ventura, please... Me? haha I realize you have no idea what you're typing about. I also realize that getting an actual small-govt conservative elected president will be extremely dificult.
-
He became Hubert Humphrey.

People were talking about a McCain/Romney ticket because Romney was the first to endorse McCain and push him to the finish line. Huckabee is far and away better positioned for 2012/16 than Romney, or anybody else. If something like this isn't obvous you should watch the primary season on dvd, or something Here's an artlicle on Palin. She met her first world leaders today! http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/P/PAL...EMPLATE=DEFAULT
-
It doesn't take a whole lot of political knowledge to see that Huckabee is the GOP's obvious front-runner for 2012 if McCain does manage to somehow lose. Marvin's handicapped. Definitly one to watch at TSM in '09.
-
If I have my way, a fellow from Minnesota will make a strong indpendent run in 2012.
-
You could write in "Ron Paul"
-
I agree, Marvin. The GOP would much rather go with a guy barred from the RNC than a candidate who fits their big-govt ideals and got a prime-time slot in St Paul. You sure do know stuff!
-
Bob Barr had his chance to decrease govt when he held real power. Instread, he chose to expand the drug war, tried as hard as he could to impeach a president for adultery, and voted for the Patriot Act. Try Chuck Baldwin.
-
Nor would McCain or Obama be president at the beginning of this current problem. Also, if you want the governemnt to shrink you've hitched yourself to the wrong bandwagon.
-
Yeah. Like when FDR was elected to fix the Depression and didn't. He got his ass handed to him by Alf Landon for that.
-
Only people in the Democrat Party do that. I blame the Liberal Media.
-
He's consistent, though.
-
You left out the legislator, the less experienced Illinois politician, and probably the greatest president in the history of the United States.
-
Any guesses on how much legislation Abe Lincoln passed before he became president? Ike? Reagan?
-
The Liberal Media will repeat that it's a "Democrat witch hunt" or something until enough people believe it.
-
Blindly believing in the child-abuse story is hard for me with the GOP ticket trying so adamently to keep the lid on. If you don't want to be suspected of something you probably shouldn't act suspicious as fuck.
-
Much like a largely insignificant crime in 1972, the problem here isn't the firing itself but this suspicion-inducing coverup.
