I dont read cd reviews. Ive seen Saul Williams and NIN live and if they were to try collaborating in that respect it probably would be a trainwreck...but, again, the beats that Saul raps over on his own records are usually kinda grungy/rock-y and similar to the music that Reznor can write well. As far as I know that is all that record will be...Reznor making music and producing with Saul Williams rapping as per usual. It seems like a very fitting combination. I also think Saul might work well with RZA. If Reznor does intend to put himself at the forefront of the Saul cd by doing some vocals or making overbearing music...then, yes, it will obviously work out poorly. But if it remains as reported and Reznor just keeps to the background then I see no problem with it.

Yep...Trent will be producing the Saul record...its not like it will be some kind of NIN/Saul mashup. The music Reznor makes isnt that much different than the beats that Saul Williams usualy uses.

Roo was 209$ including all the fees...that included camping for four nights too. I spent another few hundred on gas, food...and, uh, other items. I suppose the prices would be about equal when you factor in a hotel...but you wont have to travel as far. Its really cool that American festivals are getting so fucking good.

Roo also had Petty with Stevie Nicks...Amadou & Miriam, Radiohead, Costello/Toussaint, and others that are somewhat rare treats for we Americans... At 115$ and you living in Texas, ACL is a very good idea. I wish some of those bands had been in TN two weeks ago...I wont be able to make it to ACL.

Its definitly not as good a lineup as this year's Bonnaroo (though it is better than both Coachella & Lolla), which was probably the best lineup for any American festivale since Coachella '04. The fact that theres no camping will require hotel rooms for any non-locals, thus making it more expensive than Bonnaroo. Really solid lineup though...especially with rarities like Massive Attack on the bill. One can also assume that Iron/Wine and Calexico will do a few songs together. Have fun.
