Again...my previous band 'jammed out'...but to think we were a 'jam band' would be pretty stupid. Dur...they jam out so they is a jamband... I'll just continue to roll eyes at folks who cant listen to music without lumping into some ridiculous genre.

I dont like many of the bands in that 'genre' either...Grateful Dead, Allmans, and Govt Mule is about it... Im guessing the reason why I 'like jam bands' is because Ive been to the Bonnaroo fest the last 2 years...where Ive seen such great 'jam bands' as De La Soul, Matisyahu, Lake Trout, Primus, J5, X-ecutioners, Saul Williams, etc...

nl5xsk1...its pretty obvious that the 'jam band' haters here have absolutely no idea what theyre talking about. The differences between bands in this 'genre' has already been addressed. The only thing that I can think of to explain it is that theyve never listened to any of the bands they hate and have based this weak opinion solely on what the friends they look upto have told them. Or maybe its just downs syndrome... Allman Bros are the original emo jam band...

Father in the Forest, Aish Tamid, Exaltation...He also has some good beatboxing and live stuff recorded. Matisyahu is a great live performer, and I met him after his set at Sasquatch Festival...pretty cool guy.

Sweet...this was the first time Ive actually looked forward to a Bob Barron snl review. Not coincidentally this was the first time Ive watched a full live ep in at least 3 years. I like how even a disspointing-to-you Neil songs gets at least 2 stars. And, if I can remember shit, Neil played two songs off Harvest Moon on snl back in the day...'Harvest Moon' and 'Hank to Hendrix' I think. Bob, do you happen to know where to find a schedule of upcoming musical guests?
