    Opening acts

Yes, APC made a quick political statement cd to go with a dvd release...not exactly the year-long studio effort that can be expected from a Maynard related project. Sometimes, its important not to base each record under the same criteria. "Tumble in talent."

    Opening acts

I too find this hard to believe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> APC really took a very hard tumble in talent with their newest album. It's really really bad with only a few bright spots. Course Mars Volta isn't much better lately but better than the sludge APC is tossing out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Disagreed. How do you take a 'tumble in talent'? Emotive was faily good stuff and I see very little wrong with Thirteenth Step. Speaking of opening acts...I saw Saul Williams right before Volta at Bonnaroo this year. Saul was awesome, I couldnt make it through 30 minutes of MV's set.

Again, Gore is just as viable right now as Nixon was in the middle 1960s...and the same rubes that were fooled by Bush last November will gladly vote for Cheney in 08, and he realizes this.

Gore/Feingold vs. Cheney/Huckabee(or some other Republican governor who can help carry a state or three) would be neat.

    Opening acts

Earlier this summer I saw a local group called Thundersnake opening for 3 Inches Of Blood...it was painful. The singer seemed like he was trying to copy that Jim Breur metalguy bit from SNL, only trying to be 'real'.

    So I'm going to Unforgiven.....

Guess who was responsible for the whole Janet slip outrage that was so overblown it made some of us embarassed to be here? Yep. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It wasn't a slip. They admitted that. I can see why a family sitting down to watch some football might not want or expect Janet Jackson's tit on their screen at half time. Whether it was exaggerated in the media or not, if people are watching a football game, they expect football with some light entertainment at half time, not some chick's boob otherwise they'd watch HBO or Cinemax instead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, so lets hype the shit out of it AFTERWARDS....now thats family values. Going after small problems like that so drastically really worked against gangsta rap and those Louie Louie terrorists.

    Aw shucks.

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Yes, I fully intend to bury you in a makeshift grave... See, this is the problem, if an individual doesnt have an inherant understanding of old expressions then that person will more than likely always struggle with the expression of thoughts and feeling. There is a link proven here between the lack of common knowledge and the inability to think constructively. I blame Matt Drudge and Kanye West.

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Personally, I think you brought on your own problems by defending the comically dumb behavior of the Boston football people...the 'penis rant' didnt help your point out much. Quit while you only have one foot and half your cock in the grave.

Nixon also moved away from the liberal-Republican side to help Goldwater in 1964 which showed true loyalty. He also can be given some credit for eventually seeing the end of the Vietnam War. Its too bad that the pathetic addiction for power and the bad shadow it left will always trump whatever achievements Nixon and LBJ may have had. And they both had landslide presidential election victories over qualified, honest opponents...shame on voting America in '64/'72.

    Hurricane Katrina

Agreed. Between his time as VP and in Congress along with the Christian conservativism in Tennessee it makes good sense that Gore wouldnt carry it. Keep tryin though boon....

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Im geussing since the the trained chimps couldnt make it to the Globe via the initially posted Drudge link, I should find it myself quick.... http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/ar...rt_at_gillette/ Boston booed Kanye on the tv. (sorry bout the facts nl5). There is no mention of the Bostonians booing the Stones 'Rough Justice', a new anti-Bush track when it was aired live from Detroit. That dang drudge.

The drudge article references a Boston Globe reporter...which I already posted...I spose that might be a place to start for another source.

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Boston booed Kanye's feed...cheered the Stones anti-Bush song that was beamed from Detroit. http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2...0_flash9nfl.htm Boston Globe reports that Kanye's boos were 'thunderous'.

Goldwater felt that new federal laws could not eradicate pepoles personal racism. It was something that would require social pressure towards full real change in the minds of people. In retrospect, he was correct considering the extant of racism that still exists today. He knew full well that the Act would pass which allowed him to vote 'no' on principle. Unfortunately the media of the day didnt bother covering other stories like how Goldwater refused to stay in segregated hotels while campaigning in the Deep South. And he really became quite the libertarian in his later days..."As long as theyre not hurting nobody they can be as gay as they want to be."

I assumed that. For me, with the dirtiness of his campaigning and his exploitation of Kenedy's ideals for votes, that destruction of an American Generation makes Johnson among the very worst Presidents in our history.

    New Ashlee Simpson album

Its amazing that some morons will still support this kind of shit...the mtv show clearly illustrated how Ashlee's voice is awful and a total studio production for the record (Im still not sure what the thinking was behind showing so many of her studio struggles on tv) and she definitly cant sing live. What is wrong with you people? Its not music and shes not that attractive...had she not been a lil sister, the label wouldve gladly used a much less butterfaced gal. Fucking rubes.

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

BOSTON DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Umm, didn't Kanye perform in LA, and not New England at all. I didn't watch the kickoff show at all ... couldn't care less for any of the artists that performed ... so did the "Boston" fans boo a screen that was showing his performance, or were these "Boston" fans actually in LA? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes...Kanye was beamed from LA, the Stones via Detroit. Green Day actually played in Boston I believe. Reports say the Stones were cheered, Kanye booed. I dont recall any shots of what the Boston crowd was doing during the feeds and am only going by published reports. I didnt care to watch much of the pregame. Besides, Im on Barb's side...They were all underprivileged to beigin with so they better off now.

Probably not, he was pretty much just a straight up Reaganish conservative. And he was a big supporter of Joe McCarthy. He was against the Civil Rights Act of '64. He seems like a good man and a principled politician, but he's just too far right for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You do know Goldwater was not from a racist right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I know, he helped start the NAACP in his state. Also, LBJ=war on poverty, which I like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Johnson also had a hard-on for the casket industry... "I wont send no American boys to do what Asian boys can do for themselves."
