    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Kanye will be performing during the MTV/VH1/CMT special for hurricane victims this Saturday. Hell of a shitstorm, I hope FEMA and the President are prepared....

Get over it. We're the wave of the future. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doing something that has been done for decades is the 'wave of the future'?
  6. Ive known many ladies (sluts and debutantes alike) who had walked around the block a few times and indeed did have exquisite vaginas and no disease....

    Jerry Rice retires

Moss will not be able to have the longevity of Rice. Nor will his attitude allow him to fit into a gameplan that actually wins championships. The number two receiver all time behind Jerry Rice is Don Hutson...and even he (for basically creating the position) is still miles behind. I honsetly dont think Rice's career accomplishments will ever be touched.

    Hurricane Katrina

Its not so much that young people are conservative...but just so closed-minded. It is really unsettling. It takes place on both sides...either Bush can do no wrong or no right. Nobody bothers to actually consider the values of each person or opinion. Example - 'Michael Moore is irrelevant because hes fat.' This is certainly among the weakest arguements Ive ever heard. Disagree or not he deserves to be able to speak as mind just like anyone else does, and he can be publicly vocal about it because he made popular documentaries that touched chords with alot of people. And to everybody so quick to defend President Bush...he gets the most heat for one simple reason - He is at the top. Harry Truman said, "The buck stops here", and the statement remains accurate and applicable today. Bush ran in 2004 on his 'national security' ticket but in this instance there was clearly not enough done to help and save Americans right on our very own soil. He doesnt deserve all the blame but Bush and his Administration deserve, and will get, the brunt of the questions and the political/social heat. If people want this to already be a poltical battle than that is simply a problem within their own respective egos. It is a sad case indeed that will turn the worst disaster in America's history into political whining and hollering, but it is not an isolated case. The one and only best thing for everyone to do is the best they can. The deserved elected officials will take the bumps they have earned by not doing a fair and humane job for the victims. Juveniles on messageboards need not bicker over the relevancy of Michael Moore or other such nonsense. Also - I dont like Trent Lott, but the man's house was destroyed...Im willing to guess that he is doing all in his power to help in this situation.

Kanye West ready to release 2nd album

Not that it really matters, but Rolling Stone gave this 5 stars. Its good to see their paint-by-mubers rating scale can color an accurate picture sometimes. And just as a reminder, Kanye is also a really good live mc. Not really pertinent to the new cd but its another thing that sets him apart from alot of other top-name hip hop/rap stars.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Czech, etc...How 'bout we agree to move all the Kanye discussion to the thread in the music folder? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apparently not...

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

So, how'd you like the show? I downloaded the show, and I'm 1/2 way through & loving it. So, so jealous. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dont be...I had a long couple weeks previous, my dad died and my town was hit by a tornado. I lacked the money or energy afterwards to travel halfway across the country to see Pearl Jam. But my brother still went, and I gave a mutual friend (theyre stationed together at Ft Lewis) my ticket. They report a very good show. Im jealous.

If Bush attempts to push through anyone to the right of moderate it will be among the bigger political blunders since Gerald Ford's election campaign. Not necessarily bad for W. himself, but it could really help the Democrats pull a Newt&Friends circa 1994. Bush and the current Republican power-bloc will be taking the heat for the hurricane and the gas prices (not to mention this new docrine of 'four more years of war')...to push the divide would be a gift to the left.

I was under the impression that Kanye West raps about blaming whites for giving AIDS and crack to blacks. Is this true? I also know Time gave him a blowjob for not dressing like a thug. Time's standards have fallen. I want the big stupid attention whore to shut up. Didn't he also act like a petulant brat after losing to Maroon 5 so people would notice him? It was the wrong place and wrong time to put himself in the spotlight. People aren't talking abuot the plight of the poor black New Orleans refugees, they're talking about Kanye West, which is exactly what he wanted, because he's a whore. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, that is not what Kanye raps about. I reccomend listening to him before making up a bizzare analysis. And Kanye is a big fan of Maroon5...the singer guests on his new record.

Kanye spoke from the heart... right or wrong in your opinion...he was honest to himself, and to the current beliefs of ALOT of hurting people. But of course, publicly voicing the thoughts of the victims is wrong so 'fuck kanye west'. No, I personally dont think Bush hates black people or that the Navy has been ordered to 'kill teh negroes!'...but I cant imagine too many African Americans, or anyone with a conscience, who isnt pretty pissed off that these people (black white whatever) have been allowed to suffer and die this week. Fuck FEMA. Fuck red tape. Fuck censorship.

    Shit-storm coming for Kanye?

Yea...conservative America will want to fire back, until they remember the hundreds of hours of video footage from this week of black people dying and suffering on screen. Yes, Kanye West was wrong with his overly blunt remarks, but theres a pretty big bloc of people that are agreeing with him right now.
