You can't possibly think it's a good thing for your top wrestler to be on the writing team, do you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why shouldnt he? The product has been just splendid the last few years... -
Bret, presumably, would have done the job.

Of cours it can...we still need to see pedophilia, an on-screen gangrape, and HHH winning every match at Wrestlemania. -
Former world heavyweight champion Michael Moorer was on Friday Night Fights last week (I missed it) but apparently he announced a return to boxing and a re-retirement all in one hour. This is from fightnews.com - Shortest comeback in history! Moorer's comeback lasts 37 minutes... On ESPN2 Friday Night Fights, former heavyweight champ Michael Moorer was the weekly in-studio guest analyst. He had announced his retirement in April, but at the top of Friday’s show (9:03 p.m. ET) Moorer told host Brian Kenny he was coming back. At 9:40 p.m., in a split screen with Moorer and ringside analyst Teddy Atlas, Moorer’s former trainer, Atlas asked Moorer to reconsider and stay retired. Moorer, citing his love for Atlas, reconsidered and said he’d remain retired. 9:03 p.m. Moorer: I’m thinking of coming back to fight again. I miss it. My game plan would be to win the heavyweight title again. 9:40 p.m. Atlas: Retire, Stay out of boxing. You’ve done so many great things. Moorer: So Teddy, you want me to stay out of boxing? Just become a trainer? Atlas: Yeah. I don’t want to see you fight anymore. You’ve done everything you can do at this level. It’s not there anymore for you. Moorer: Teddy, that’s why I love you so much, because you’re the only person who was very honest with me from the very beginning. In the corner you were honest with me. I appreciate it and I love you for that. Kenny: Are you going to listen to Teddy, Michael? Moorer: I have to listen to him. He is the person who knows boxing. Teddy, I’m going to listen to you. I will stay away from the game, and I will become one of the premier trainers in the future. It was a good decision by Moorer.

Which was apparently enough to qualify HHH (who apparently was an 'invisible booker') as the new 'official writer'. Brilliant. -

I doubt he will be stepping aside anytime soon... -

Im guessing that many of you haven't actually 'listened' to Kanye West or Talib Kweli. Ya'll would really hate Saul Williams... With Kanye - Is it the massive radioplay that has diminished his credibility in your critical minds? Is it kinda like the whole 'its cool to dis Led Zepplin or the Beatles' thing?

Don King promotes a show that should be free at a cost of $39.95 this Saturday. -Hasim Rahman(40-5) vs Monte Barrett(31-3) for a 'interim' heavyweight belt. Winner is supposed to fight Vitali next. -Ricardo Mayorga(27-5) v Michele Piccirillo(44-2) for a 154lb belt. -Oliver McCall(44-8) v Przemyslaw Saleta(42-6) in a ten round matchup of heavyweights outside the top-25. -Luis Collazo(25-1) v Miguel Angel Gonzalez(49-4). Collazo makes his first defense of wba welterweight title against a guy who was world champion nearly ten years ago and hasnt had a legitimate major win since 1995. Any predictions/thoughts on this thrilling extravaganza?

McCall won by knockout in the 4th....my guess - He fights John Ruiz for a 'world' titlebelt next.
-
Apparently the undercard has already had an exciting, brutal 'world' title fight....untelevised, of course.
-
On paper it is possibly the worst fight card ever for ppv. Some of the fights might end up being good, especially the mainevent, but charging anything more than $20 for this is pathetic. Its shitty cuz Rahman is one of my favorite fighters and I would have bought this if it was part of an 'ensemble card' of main events like Don King had been doing lately.
