Its now official for October 8. Sho.com lists two fights right now, and one TBA. Coralles-Castillo 2 and Arce-Hussein 2. Boxrec.com lists Carlos Hernanez' unconfirmed opponent as journeyman Bobby Pacquiao, who is coming off an upset ko over Carlos Navarro. That fight would be a wbc superfeatherweight eliminator. All 3 fights should be 12 rounds. This is great news for boxing fans and a definitly classic card.

Quick notes on tonights ESPN2 card... Art Simonyan (IBF #9) vs. Agapito Sanchez (IBF #10) is for the minor USBA title. The winner will likely fight IBF champ Israel Vasquez in their next fight or two. Vasquez is the only man to beat Simonyan so far. Clinton Boldridge (3-3) has replaced Giuseppe Kidd. If this fight does get shown, expect a quick ko for Malachy Farrell.

Yeah, after 1997/8 the Bills officially moved ahead of the Broncos for biggest AFC chokers. But no team is sadder than Minnesota...besides those hilarious '98 and '00 seasons they are also 0-4 in Super Bowls.

I didn't really mean the nu-metal remark... If new things from combinations dont count than rock 'n' roll is out as well. I think Moby was onto a major innovation with Play. Blending something so raw, organic, and ancient with the newest technology and styles is a powerful way expose listeners to something new and unique. The songs at that disc have a deep emotional quality that is pretty much its own. I think this record idea was something that should really be built further on.

I liked this movie. Got plenty peeled before the screening and that worked nicely. I thought it was another great performance by Depp in another bizarre and challenging role. Anyone know anything about Depp trying to make a movie from Hunter S Thompson's Rum Diary? -

Sam Soliman looked pretty good in the 108 degree heat, but I dont think has much of a chance against Jermain Taylor. Norris-Jirov on the undercard tonight was entertaining enough. Its probably about time for Jirov to consider retirement.

The Brewers split a 4 game series with St. Louis. Amazing.

cheech (fitting name for your mushminded remarks) - The following are DRAWS for the wwe: John Cena Eddy Guerrero Rey Misterio Jr Brock Lesnar (when hes back) Undertaker And, to a lesser extent for various reasons - HHH, Batista, Angle, HBK, Hogan, SCSA, Big Show, Bradshaw, Foley. These guys have proven themselves to be money draws...Eddy/Rey bring in huge money from the Hispanic demo, Cena has the youngsters, Taker for his image, and Lesnar will draw again when he returns. If an announcement is made that Austin or Foley or Rock will appear somewhere, itll be money. HBK-Hogan will sell some ppv buys no doubt. HHH is still the #1 guy in the company and his absence should see him bringin in bigger numbers when he comes back, if alls done right. Hassan, however, is not and will nit be a draw.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> NO ONE IN THE WWE today is a draw. The brand draws and that's it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow.

Now the bookers have to scramble to fix such a retarded gimmick. It proved itself to be worthless drawing-wise so far but they wanted to keep pushing it...now its been shut down completely. Cheap heat is bad for business.

Thats probably the best explanation. People are real desperate to fit in and be part of a group, no matter how ridiculous it may appear to a different group.

I couldnt make it through Town and the City. Im now reading Kerouac's later effort Maggie Cassidy... a much better, energetic, unique, and (to me anyway) poignant story. Im simultaneously reading Theodore H White's Breach of Faith about the fall of Richard Nixon.

Damn. I hope that was just really bad sarcasm...

Ill be surprised if the new GB front office caves in. Walker is less important to the Packer offense that TO for the Eagles. Favre can throw the ball anywhere (more often than not), all GB needs is guys decent enough to catch...and Driver, Ferguson, etc can do that.

Im pretty curious about that as well....anyone have any news?
