Greatest WWF stars of 80's DVD out

...25 years after the match. I still cant believe how violently great that match was. Unbelievable. And, Valentine should get his own dvd. Hugely underrated.

    What Bands

The Sweater Song still gets some radio play. I also thought that the Green Album was decent (Hash Pipe, Islands in the Sun, etc). But Im still a bit puzzled as to why Rivers hasnt done something better with his huge obsession with creating 'perfect pop songs'. Fun lil pop rock like Buddy Holly isnt nearly 'perfect pop' like Green Day, Brian Wilson, Beatles, Oasis etc. (And these examples of 'perfect pop' are Rivers' not mine. Though I cant really argue against him when those artists were at their best.

If youre going to keep the ECW angle...you need to make it work alot better. Incorporate the wrestlers into tv and ppv. Make the 'invasion' actually matter. This is also probably a good time to start posting Raw results as you are right into the the Monday Night War era now.

    This week in baseball

That collapse last year was just pathetic...and still not as bad as the football Badgers down the stretch or Green Bay in the playoffs. Fucking ugh. But the Brewers look VERY promising for the second half of the season. Lyle Overbay and Geoff Jenkins are finally hitting the ball they way they should. Ben Sheets is back on the mound and getting better with each start. It doesnt look like anybody valuable will be traded away. The pitching has been quite decent. If Lyle/Geoff can continue the vast improvement in the second half, Rickie Weeks continues his really good start to his MLB career, and Brady Clark and Carlos Lee continue to put up lead-leading stats...an over .500 season is quite likely. It was nice to see Milwaukee go into the All-Star break with a winning road trip to Florida and Atlanta as well.

What are some quintessential tracks by this Saul Williams fellow? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.saulwilliams.com Download everything available there. All 3 records are worth getting...Amethyst Rock Star, the EP, and the s/t. Also, check out his one-poem book Said The Shotgun To The Head. He also freestyles live.

Oh fuck yeah! I thought I'd try a few of his tracks based purely on the fact he's on this years line-up. The guy fucking rocks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And he is just powerfully good live. I got to see him at the Bonaroo fest, waited for almost 4 hours to be in the front rwo, missed the Dave Matthews Band and it was completely worth it...best performance of that weekend and one of the best I have ever seen. He is THE poet of this generation right now...and also a stellar mc.

    These sick motherfuckers

And if Hassan is gone within a year...then the wwe will have (again) turned off more of their fans (paying customers) for something that was a complete waste. Sgt. Salughter as an Iraqi didnt work, Col Debeers didnt work, etc etc. The Iron Sheik was a bit of a draw because he had 'patriots' to work against (Hogan/Slaughter), he was at least a competent worker, and the entire face/heel thing was different. The situation now has changed...so many people have been affected by terrorism worldwide. The crowds are either quiet for Hassan or disgusted. The attendance isnt any better and the ratings arent either. This can only be a bad thing for the wwe, and its only happening because Vince clearly does live in a bubble with his few remaining blind fuckpuppet followers who 'defend' sophomoric bullshit angles like this one.

    Just like two years ago....

I wouldnt be surprised at all if the Marlins win another championship this year. All I can do now is hope that maybe Milwaukee can do something similar to the '03 Marlins club. Theyre hovering around .500 right now, Sheets is back in the rotation and getting back into form each start, and Lyle Overbay and Geoff Jenkins are FINALLY hitting the baseball. Again, as for the Marlins, I dont think anybody should bt against that team pulling crazy shit off in October.

Give me reasons to hate Shawn Michaels.

Bret had more **** matches than Shawn as well. Im not going to bother looking it up but Randy Savage may have had more as well.

Again.... Why do it if it will not draw any money and will alienate some your audience? It has no upside and a big downside...so, why is it a good angle? Why is something no redeeming value 'ok'? Im glad my sandy vagina isnt filled with Vince's dick.

    These sick motherfuckers

For the moronic booking marks who are defending this angle - What is the point of doing this if it wont draw any money and will only lose fans? You dont possibly think that there might be more reasons to dislike this angle than just hurt feelings do you? Are you just 13 year olds with no perception of how the same fucking scenario played out in 1991? Maybe its just my sandy vagina but I still hate it when retarded 'fans' defend the kind of booking that makes the rest of the world think that all wrestling fans are just toothless brainless hillbillys with no morals or sense. Thank you, dipshits, for living up to that perception for the rest of us. Now please, fit yourselves for helmets before you hurt yourselves.

Nice to see the Brewers stopping the offensive downward spiral after just a couple of games.

    What Bands

I always found it odd that with Rivers Cuomo being so obsessed with the 'perfect pop song' that he kept that binder of Beatles, Oasis, etc songs and analyzed them so deeply...that he never was able to write anything really good.

    These sick motherfuckers

Fuck Rick Scaia. And fuck the wwe for doing something that is both a)retarded and insensitive and b) really really bad for business. Nobodys buying tickets, nobodies buying ppvs, and the ratings arent getting any bigger with Hassan...its a failed angle and its exploiting a real life tragic situation. It is stupid on every single level. It has zero redeeming merits whatsoever. If it made money, it could be argued for...but it doesnt. TV shows and movies make money...these angles in wrestling dont. There is absolutely nothing good that can come of this. Vince lives in a bubble...but so did Verne Gagne and the WCW. Nobody bothers to learn any lessons in this business. Dumb.

Greatest WWF stars of 80's DVD out

Does anybody know the sales figures for this set? I hope its successful enough to warrant a sequel...this thing is incredible, and they left out so many workers. Andre, Albano, Warrior, Rude, Roberts, Luger, Bockwinkle, Jimmy Hart, etc could all fill up another 3 discs. That JYD bio was really cool too.
