Even if you cant afford the subway, you can still walk to so many cool places in Manhattan. Theres always some street musicaian to amuse you, something like a million CHEAP clubs, coffeehouses, and bars with great music. The East Village is my favorite place prsonally, but can be a bit dangerous in parts. Im from a town of 400 in Wisconsin and theres nothing I enjoy more than riding a Greyhound to Port Authority and just getting lost in NYC. Its only expensive if you approach it as a tourist. Check out the underground, look at the Empire State Building without paying the go-inside-an-upstairs fee...stay at hostels for cheap, some of the 1-2$ hot dogs and pizza slices are damn good, theres always good music in literally every genre, and the town really never does sleep.

10 pm central time...and Tomko still has a job.

The way the wwe writers think they probably felt a big swerve like HBK's turn could somehow pop a rating. If it doesnt make sense to anybody, it probably makes sense to them.

How the fuck do you not have fun in NYC?

The Brewers-Marlins game has gotten really frustrating.

I wasnt online in 1996...was Hogan's heel turn announced?

I think that if Hassan held the US title and was involved in a uppercard program it would really elevate that title. In particular, a feud with the Undertaker over the US title. I dont think Benoit could do as much...hes Canadian and a face so the reaction would be different, and his character is really better suited for 'world title or bust'. I dont think JBL can elevate the US title either. Hassan can with his gimmick...and a good blood feud.

I really think that Brady Clark shouldve at least been an option for the last-chance vote... And I hate the Yankees but Jeter clearly is an All-Star.

HOSS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damnit, how do I keep forgetting how much these apefucks pop the ratings?

10 Demolition - Started as a Road Warriors ripoff but they made it work and got/stayed over for some time. Really good team chemistry, surprisingly good matches. 9.Edge and Christian - So much charisma, great matches, managed to get over during a hot era for wrestling. 8. Arn Anderson/Bobby Eaton(the best tag team workers to ever live) > Arn/Tully > Arn/Larry Zbyzko > Eaton/Regal 7. Fabulous Kangaroos - The greatest team ever for about 35 years. 6.Hart Foundation - Brets great workrate was nicely complimented by the hoss Neidhart. 5.Steiner Brothers - Behind the Bulldogs, probably the most talented team ever. 4.Blowjobs - The Rock N Roll Express > The Rockers > Fantastics > Hardy Boyz 3.Road Warriors - So good they developed a huge cult status. Terrible workers, no sold everything, poor when they went solo...but as a team it was just near perfect. 2.British Bulldogs - Probably the most talented tag team ever. 1.Midnight Express - Even against jobbers they were entertaining. They had great chemistry (both incarnations) and worked well with everybody. They were so over as heels that it forced a face turn. They were undeniably cool.

I wouldnt mind a Great American Bash '89 dvd.

HTQ - One day, your internet ego will graduate the tenth grade and you will realize that this is professional wrestling, and heels can lose clean and still be made competitive against faces. Until then, you will continue to naively grasp strong to your bizarro smarked out opinions. Heels usually lose the blowoff because thats what the marks generally want to see. They can still work the world title matches and it can still be believed by the majority of the fanbase.

Didnt Diesel get PINNED by the Undertaker clean at Wrestlemania 12 and then headline the next ppv against world champ HBK?
-
What was Rick Rude doing before Summerslam '90? Bob Backlund before Survivor Series 94? Big Show before Survivor Series '99?
-
IIRC, in 1998 the Rock lost the Summerslam blowoff ladder match to HHH...and at Survivor Series he won the world title. Its not historically implausible forsomeone to lose the blowoff match (even cleanly) and then move on to a world title program. Im sure there are more examples as well...especially where its the heel moving on to the world title feud.

Tommy Boy Black Sheep Happy Gilmore Texas Chainsaw Massacre Clockwork Orange Forrest Gump Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Stranglemania 2
-
Im guessing that it will be Cena/Jericho/Edge/Kane in some sort of 4-way or tag team match or something....since Batista will presumably headline the show and Hogan-HBK will get top-billing as well.

I can only wish that Milwaukee had a rotation where I could whine about having Beckett or Kerry Wood.... And why isnt TBS or WGN showing the Cubs-Braves game with Maddux on the mound?
