    WWE Vengeance Card

WWE Title Match Hell in a Cell Triple H Vs Batista - Im picking Batista. It will probably be another generic bloody brawl with these poorly matched 3-times-in-a-row main eventers...only now its in a cell. World Title Match Triple Threat Christian Vs John Cena Vs Chris Jericho - Cena Shawn Michaels Vs Kurt Angle - HBK...I think Angle owes him something. Kane Vs Edge - Edge. I dont care IC Title Shelton Benjamin Vs Carlito Caribbean Cool - This is pretty sadly booked. Ill pick Carlito Victoria Vs Christy Hemme - Ehh...victoria

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

I saw metal band 3 Inches of Blood last night...pretty good old school heaviness. Id like to see them again, I think theyre going to be on the upcoming Chimaira tour.

    Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson

I definitly disagree...Castillo has more fights, but Gatti has been at the world-class level for years longer.
  13. Ill pick the Winged Eagle because it was the first thing I saw when I started really getting into wrestling...WWF, Hogan, Savage, Warrior, DiBiase in the late 80s. HHH has really tarnished Big Gold as well in my eyes.

    Steve Corino question

It was weird...he went from a meaningless jobber to somewhat-believable (imo) charimatic champ in a year. I think it had something to do with him stealing Barry Windham's old wardrobe and painting his hair bright red during every match. I thought Corino would have made a swell Flair-esque champ if ECW wouldve survived.
  15. NWA 10 pounds of Gold...that belt just has so much history to it.

    TNA on Spike?

Im never around on weekend nights...but if Jarretts not on top (or, preferably, not even around) Ill at least tape the shows.

    Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson

Conditioning will only protect his ribs if he can keep his elbows against them. Gatti's bodywork can hurt anybody...Floyd included. Mayweather his never been in the ring with anyone with the punch (maybe a distracted Corrales) or the experience of an Arturo Gatti, its his toughest test yet...and remember, Mayweather really struggled with Castillio (a much different animal than Gatti, of course). I doubt Gatti can win...but its definitly not a mismatch. Its probably about as much of a mismatch as the Tszyu-Hatton, Golota-Brewster, Johnson-JonesJr, etc fights that 'boxing experts' have been embarrassed with lately.

OAO Raw Thread (6-20-05): Angle v. Some Big Guy

I actually caught most of Raw last week and enjoyed it...admittedly, I was far from sober. Ill prolly miss tonights show for a metalshow at my local club; Angle-Batista and a billionth wedding doesnt really appeal to me.

    Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson

Gatti is the best bodypuncher since Julio Cesar Chavez...this could pose a huge problem for PBF.

    Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson

Its nice to see Ike Quartey back in the ring. He was really fun to watch in the late 90s and his break from boxing may have lengthened his career(hopefully). Mayweather-Gatti has the potential to be very entertaining. Gatti is a 5-time Fight of the Year participant and Mayweather is the most talented boxer on the planet. Mayweather is playing a great Ali-esque heel and Gatti is hugely popular. This is Mayweather's biggest and most important fight yet. Gatti is still world-class and always brings Everything. This fight has serious potential to be a classic. Im not sure if its my final pick yet...but right now Im thinking Mayweather wins a war and Gatti retires a hero afterwards. This prediction will change by tomorrow though.
