They don't know what will be crap and what won't be crap. Sadly, that's the only downside with parity in the NFL. What team was great last year, might be absolutely suckfest this year. I think anyone could have assumed there would be a better game today then SF/Chicago...several months ago. Somebody should lose their job for this.

This is the question you should ask yourself...if it has been good the last four years and you feel it will improve even more then vote for Bush. If you disagree with him and feel it is time for a change, then vote for Kerry (or a 3rd party candidate who might fit your opinions better). Its that simple...apply Bush's philosophy, policies, and administration to your own life and make your decision based on that. Dont bother with parties or religions or commercials. I feel you should vote for John Kerry. I will vote for John Kerry. But you, and any other undecided, should vote based on your own life situation.

Uh...Thompson is well known for his use of massive hyperbole. It would really be neat if people knew about the writer before forming opinions on him.

He is widely recognized as one of the most influential writers of the twentieth century. His books such as Hells Angels, F&L in Las Vegas, and Capaign '72 gave readers a rare and indelible glimpse of American culture. He is widely known for his amazingly accurate prognostications of political races and events. His coverage of the Democratic Convention in '68 was hugely vital and one of the great accomplishments of journalism. His 14th book was just recently published. Thats off the top of my head - basically, Dr. Thompson is one of the most influential literary figures of our time. Im sure Mike loathes him due to Thompson being a vocal supporter of Jimmy Carter.

Glad to hear that 12 Stones is off that bill. They are the worst band I have ever seen. Earshot, however, was surprisingly very fun when I saw them a month ago with Sevendust. Nonetheless, I wont be seeing this show as I have just too many concerts to see...Dope, Manson, Modest Mouse, Korn, Paris Texas...

It was actually a borderline atrocious book and I will never forgive my poli. sci prof for making me read it. He was an overrated hack in the 70's. He's now a boring overrated hack. -=Mike Yeah, a book that digs deeper into the inner workings of a campaign than just about any other...and provides eerilly accurate and unique insight. Borderline atrotious.

But it should be noted that Dr. Thompson has a well-acknowledged deep understanding of politics and an uncanny ability to predict developments and outcomes of capmaigns/elections. His book Fear and Loathing on the Campaign trail '72 is one of the greatest books ever written on politics. He's more than just 'that Johnyy Depp guy'...
