Yes, I felt that Cheney got a close victory last night in the debate... But I also saw many things that the American public might see differently (gestures, presentation, Cheney's inabillity to answer many questions)...and its pretty hard to argue the sentiments of a majority...We havent gotten the full scope of what people are saying yet, but its not looking to good for Bush/Cheney here in the first 24 hours after....

CBS Poll has Edwards winning (I know this will incite Republikid whining, but Danny Rather doesnt run the polling...and Viacom head Sumner has endorsed George Bush)... MSNBC online poll got nearly a million responses...it couldnt have all been shenanigans... New state polls show Kerry now winning Ohio, New Mexico, and Iowa...
-
It looks like the public polls so far are showing an Edwards victory last night...
-
I dont think anyone actually pays attention to the online polls...people all realize its all for entertainment right? But the more 'scientific' poll results definitly intrigue me.
-
No, Edwards was pretty handidly bitch-slapped. -=Mike You didnt have to actually view the debate to reach that conclusion. This was no massacre. Edwards did well for his biggest debate ever, Cheney did a little better, imo...but the American reaction could be interesting...
-
Classical mucic? Or something new?
-
It should be very clear that nobody was destroyed or annhilated tonight...a good, back-forth, debate.
-
Why is it that only Democrats are flooding these polls? I did feel that Cheney won tonight - but I wouldn't be surprised at all if tomorrows polls show a different story.
-
My opinion - Cheney won, but not by alot...and I think the Amerucan public might disagree with me. Cheney was about as good as I thought he would be, Edwards exceeded my expectations.
-
I dont think Edwards mentioned his runningmate much more than Cheney mentioned his.
-
This 'flipflop' thing has really been backfiring on Bush/Cheney lately...it comes off as immature to the American people, IMO.
-
Whats the total score so far TripleR? Or are you even tallying all this up?
-
Showing that difference is the inherant idea behind the concept of debate... Yet Bush repeating points ad nauseum is OMGDUMBFUCK2004!~.................... pleae stop with the juvenile capslock stuff please... The difference - Bush repeating immature sounding lines like 'flipflop, flipflop, flipflop'...Edwards is stating 'the difference between them and us'. You telling me about juvenile It's like Kerry saying he's strong and unwaver..........aw fuck it Just dont do the capslock thing...is it that hard not to?
-
Cheney doesn't DO vicious attacks. His entire persona is so deadly serious that any criticism tends to be biting. -=Mike Dont tell that Leahey bloke about that...

Cheney isnt attacking as viciously as some thought on this trial-lawyer thing.. good idea, imo.

Christ, Mike, what the hell are you watching? Seriously now. What in the hell are you watching? Edwards has been rocking Cheney in the domestic policy debate so well. Dont take Mikes opinion too seriously...hes only going to see a total Republican victory. Hes not the one to ask for objectivity...
-
Edwards seems to be outright winning the arguement on taxation...probably his first real 'victory' of the debate...
-
I would have liked to see Edwards give a vivid explanation of the difference between factory/manufacturing jobs(those lost en masse overseas) vs. dept store/wal mart jobs (those that have been largely created).
-
The large amount of Americans harmed by Bush's policies will disagree with Cheney's inflated job/education claims... But his explanations remain eloquently stated.
-
9-11 did have some negative effect on the economy...but using it as an excuse is not a particularly good idea...
-
Cheney didn't really tackle the Haliburton issue...I feel that a good chuck of America is suspicious of that, and the VP would have been better served to stay on topic and attempt an explanation of that situation...
-
This is a very back-and-forth debate...highly entertaining...
