President Bush, the worst president in history?
snuffbox replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Current Events
No, Mike. I don't think a tinpot dictator trapped in a box was nearly as big a threat to the world as Adolf Hitler. A "tinpot dictator" who sponsored terrorism and was in cahoots with Al Qaeda. Huh? -
Mr. Winter Soldiers, that's him............... Well played.

The Democrats --- we hate the military, until it benefits us to claim to love it. -=Mike Are you lifting rhetoric from the 1960s Republican platform? The Democrats have the veteran candidate...Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld etc opted not to participate in such things... The military: Cheerleading = patriotism, Service = bad.

This current Republican ad campaign and its defense by conservative peoples may well be the most distinct example of current ignorance in America. Absolutely embarrassing. One can only hope that enough Americans can tell the vast difference between a man who chose to serve for his country and a man who plays dress-up and cuts VA benefits. The Republican Party - Patriots who cut the benefits for soldiers and claim that our military leaders toss out medals like toys...speak out not against these people, for doing so is treasonous and un-democratic.

It really is incredible(and by 'incredible' I mean 'pathetic') that we as Americans are so willing to discuss finite details of Kerry's service in a war...yet Bush's nonexistent and dodgy/shady militry record is simply beyond mention. Bush supported the Vietnam War, but didnt deem it necessary for his own personal involvement...and, of course, his mysterious checkered military career need not be contemplated. Kerry did not feel that Vietnam was a just conflict...yet, he chose to participate. Basically, George W. Bush run his campaign as a 'war president'(it wouldnt be prudent for him to speak of domestic issues at this juncture)....yet, has already cut VA benefits(and apparently inends to do so further)...and now his supporters and conservative constituents are accusing our American military of 'giving away medal of valor in combat'. Truly deplorable.... My hope here is that Americans are not ignorant as the Republicans hope and will see through the haze of this sickening ad campaign to realize that, now, in a time of war on terror we as a pople want man who chose to fight for his people...and not cast their vote for a commander-in-chief whos only military experience is dressing up as a GI Joe character and taunting the enemy. I personally believe that we do live in an intelligent country...I believe, and ardently hope, that my fellow Americans will see the obvious, and not vote for the ridiculous, on Nvember 2.

The site says that about 35% end up scoring Libertarian... Im not sure if that is a result of the test being a bit skewed or that (in my opinion) libertarianism is the most popular 'philosophy' in America... Its a shame we only have the two dork parties to choose from though.

So that you aren't pegged as a simple "Party-Line Dem"? Just because you can quote that doesn't really make me believe you. Nothing you've really said on this forum has lead me to believe you actually believe any of that. Perhaps if you actually EXPLAINED your opinion outside of witless remarks and what is generally party-line Democratic statements, I'd put more faith in you. But as of yet, you haven't shown me any of that yet. I don't listen to either, so that's pretty hard. It's because you come off as more virulent and say more Party-line Democrat things on this forums than most of the admitted democrats that gives you such a damn bad rap. You should honestly go into explaining your opinions rather than trying to make little emotional appeals that rely on evidence that is purely acentedotal. Sorry guy, im libertarian...though it is interesting to a certain degree to see my affiliation under such scrutiny. I plan to vote for Bednarik in November...Kerry needs alot of improvement to sway my vote. I've gone on the record in this forum calling John Kerry the 'Hubert Humphrey of this generation'...I dont feel like finding that anywhere, but I feel its true, and thats not a good thing. Nonetheless, Kerry stands tall over Bush in terms of leadership quality and experience.

Why would I lie about my party affiliation or philosophy? I am in favor of vast social liberites and the smallest government possible. Im in favor of repeal of marijuana laws and the enactment of taxes thereon. I favor taxation ideas like that and the elimination of worthless money spending in favor of massive taxcuts...next to zero for low-middle income, and a fraction of the current for wealthier people(yes, I realize that leans to a more socialist libertarianism. I favor free trade but strongly disagree with tax breaks for American companies shipping factories to forein nations. I could continue with my platform?... Please note, just because one doesnt like George Bush doesnt mean they are a Democrat...dont let Coulter and Hannity fool you. The only people in the Bush regime that I genuinely loathe are Cheney and Ashcroft for their attacks on Americans and their ideals(I do respect the intelligence of Cheney)....as I have said before, I respect Bush as a man but I feel he is the most 'wrong' president since Nixon or Hoover.

It is really incredible... Do you realize that you are actually arguing that I am wrong about how my life is? How the lives are around me?...You are actually arguing that I am wrong about this, but politicians who have no idea what this situation is really like are correct only because they are in defense your political party. Incredible. And, again (I have to say this alot here), Im not a Democrat...I am a registered Libertarian.

Mike, your deluded partisinship is reaching abysmal levels. Bush says the economy is good, you agree....thousands are suffering through an actually bad time, its just pointless anecdotes. Are these the philosophies you learned in your poli-sci class? Listen to your favorite president, ignore the obvious? Yes, my pay is lower. Yes, my job has laid off workers...myself included for a time. Yes, thousands and thousands have lost jobs. Sorry duder...reality sometimes sucks, even with President GI Joe.
-
Bring 'em on!!!
-
So, YOU are doing badly? -=Mike ..."New jobs are ALWAYS fast good and dept. stores?" Funny, a hospital just opened locally and quite a few jobs are open THERE... Yes I am. Pay is down, jobs are decreasing regularly, behefits being cut...the only new ones are always low pay/low hours employment. Ive seen dozens of local factories moved to foreign locales in the past few years...dozens of factories = hundreds of jobs. And to spare you the response Mike - Bill Clinton stole those jobs and Sean Hannity has a delicious penis -=Mike
-
You seriously are unaware of that push-poll thing in SC? Did Karl call your house?
-
Anyone living in a low-income working class area knows that the economy is still terrible...decent jobs coninue to go overseas, and the new jobs are always department stores and fast food(always lower pay, less benefits, and less hours).

Does anybody have bootlegs from Bonnaroo '04?

Another red herring not actually based on reality. Up there with "Blacks were disenfranchised in 2000" and "Bush smeared McCain in SC" -=Mike Mike, red herrings are things that 'didn't' happen... Ashcroft did cover the statue's breasts... And McCain needs to stop spawning them dang black babies... Seriously Mike, are Rove and Sean Hannity your only sources of news and information?
-
jig, when an fucking moron thinks you don't know what you're talking about, you're doing something right. Thanks. Your ignorance can only inspire the rest of us. -=Mike wow
