This is a war era... I personally want some experience in that field from my Commander-In-Chief... Bill Clinton never dressed up like GI JOE and taunted 'bring em on!'

Serving in a war... Possibly ditching the National Guards... Sorry, this is the position of Commander-In-Chief, such differences bear discussion.

You're right, how dare I say that some people who throw out OMGBUSH=HITLER2004!!!!!! at will and call Bush 'the real terrorist' might be inclined to vote for 'that nice old man that takes care of his people' over him. Yep, how dare I??????? I'm a moron? This coming from a guy that supported the Democrats' answer to the Ultimate Warrior, YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Dean got McGoverned...he made that shout in a roomfull of college kids...its common sense to see how that was a fairly normal thing to do in those circumstances. Sometimes, greatone, it helps to know about the situation. Also, cnn later apologized for showing the clip....they cited its irrelevance. And, I think the only kids who do the OMGLOL thing here are the republicans...

The Eternal By-Mail CD Burning and Trading

I have 'This Is It', FNM's greatest hits collection... Agreed on the 'dont post entire collections' idea... I know mine is far too large... Perhaps beyond requests we should post certain recommendations or rare cds we own?

Would that include Osama Bin Laden? I hope thats a joke What'd he say? He said 'Anybody but Bush', and given there's a groundswell among the 'Anybody But Bush' crowd that would probably vote for him if he had the chance (Patty Murray's rather fond of him), it's not a joke. Well it is, but more in the 'sad' way. the fuck?

The Eternal By-Mail CD Burning and Trading

Its a good idea... Ill post what I have sometime(or at least a portion). I wont be able to trade until the end of August/Early Sept though as I will be travelling the next few weeks. Most people involved will probably be established posters so the trading idea could be pulled off. We kinda sorta know each other here so its not like we'd just be sending away cds...and they would only be copies anyway so its not a big loss.

    The Convention

Uh, technically no, considering Bush has spent 4 years in the office already, experience is pretty much on his side more than anything. At any rate, being Governor of a state is much better experience for a President to have than Kerry's Senate career. And on Kerry having more military qualifications: The only person in the elections, including the primaries, who could possibly have any USEFUL or MEANINGFUL military experience is Wesley Clark. I don't care if you were a lieutenant in a war, that's not high up enough to be considered anything that could be useful in being commander-in-chief because at that level it's only tactical decisions, not strategic. And as Welsey Clark (And, looking to the past, Grant) show us, military generals aren't necessarily great candidates for higher office (Did Clark even know what half the issues were?). Bush's experience has been pretty terrible as president...so thats moot. And he was certainly not considered a great governor. Or a great businessman. And going into 2000 he had far less qualifications than Kerry does now....why wasnt it a problem then? And saying military leaders dont make good presidents is retarded. Are you unfamiliar with nearly every president of the first half of our nations existence? Ike Eiesenhower? Seriously...

You know I would have more.......no I take that back I actually would HAVE respect for Michael Moore if this was the current stance he took. I don't agree with it but it's eons better than his current leeching. How did this inlove Michael Moore? Did Bill Clinton mention him?

    They knew...

A foreign policy based on 'not caring' about men who kill 3,000 Americans and dubiously attacking other countries is incredibly and tragically wrong. I feel that Bush is a good man at heart and means well for this country...unfortunately he is more wrong than any military leader since Hitler(that is a military prowess comparison, nothing else). You dont allow 3000+ Americans to die under your watch as president and then not care about finding the perpetrator. You dont send another 1000 brave souls to parish in Iraq and igntite further terrorist attacks on a daily basis. None but the saddest lemming can support such dangerous and reckless foreign policy. Terrorism does not eradicate terrorism...its not a ridiculous concept. We cant attack for no reason and expect to not be attacked in retaliation at some point. Diplomacy trumps our current elementary school bully philosophy. We simply must not look at ourselves as a perfect nation, we must correct our ills and our mistakes. We must use our minds a little in this war on terror....We cannot ignore mass murderers like Bin Laden to focus on random regimes. This is important and needs to be discussed with more intelligence than 'kill em all'! nuke the bastards!' rhetoric. Bush is a good man at heart...but never has a presidents utter lack of foreign diplomacy and military experience ever shown through darker than it does today.

    They knew...

We've actually found a lot of them already. Do we need to each and every one of them before we can actually concentrate on anything else? Out of all the stupidity I've EVER seen in CE, that has to take the cake. That's just... utter ignorance. Sorry duder, Attacking unrelated countries and thus increasing terrorism is not the right way to fight this war. Before we invaded Iraq there wasnt a terrorist attack nearly everyday...now there is.

We need to find the attackers before we invade the uninvolved. Terrorism does not eradicate terrorism.

    The Convention

But Kerry is at least a more qualified Commander-In-Chief... Moreso than the 'anybody but Bush', the gulf between the military experience of the two is vast and inarguable. In a time of war I dont like the idea of a president whos only military background is a rather sketchy, mysterious stint in the National Guard(sorry republikids, I have nothing against against the Guard, just leaders with an odd past therein) and dressing like GI Joe and saying 'bring em on' from a aircraft carrier.
