Didnt Franken write/act for a popular/funny late night tv show at one point?...

One agreement, one disagreement ... Bukowski, indeed, rules all. I've managed to collect most of his writings (rereleases and compilations, obviously) and find that he's one of the few writers that I can read again, and again, and again, and again, and not get sick of. I have noticed, though, that a lot of the people that I've recommended him to have not necessarily dug him as much. Still, though, if someone hasn't read anything by Bukowski, I'd definitely recommend giving him a shot. And while I do think that most of the beats are overrated (Kerouac and Ginsberg especially) I am a fan of Burroughs. Junky is an awesome book, better than anything by JK or AG. But, I guess that I'm not a fan of Burroughs' poetry, which is what the original question was, so I might be off-track with this response. Howl>On The Road>Naked Lunch>lots and lots of other lit.

never said they were good...just a very very important song... the lyrics are on about the same level as the Vine's 'get free' which I defended earlier....not that the Vines are on Nirvana's level or anything...

There can be only new stars if old stars are around to make them. If not, you get WCW2000 again. they'll prolly have to reform DX to save the company eh prof. chaos?.... I think what chaorage was saying snuff, is that unless there are older guys to put over the younger talent as the guys the marks should be regarding as the stars, we end up with how WCW in 2000 couldn't get a single pop going in damned crowd. It took nearly a year to make Booker T and Steiner look good enough that people could once again rally behind them (with boos or cheers). And frankly, it was just regular pops, nothing like what would normally be heard on WWF at the same time with Austin or the Rock. yeah...I know what he was saying...thems is jokes, guy.

ah, Im not suprised then... I was thinking you were reading commentary from ranking Republicans er something.

Some of the most important lyrics ever though....
