    Max Kellerman leaves ESPN

Fightnews.com has confirmed that Kellerman is going to FoxSports. He will do a number of their programs as well as replace Rich Morrotta on Sunday Night Fights. He will work with the great Barry Tompkins(who called many great fights of the 70s and 80s).

    Backlash main event speculation

I really dont think Vince will have WMXX end without a face holding up the world title. Assuming that the Raw three way is the main event...HBK or Benoit will win at Mania. And all these rumors are getting pretty ghey...how many different 'news stories' have we heard about this match so far?

He's run as an "ultraconservative"? Hmm, 1) Medicare prescription bill 2) Bloated education bill supported by Ted Kennedy 3) Immigration amnesty bill 4) Big increase for the NEA 5) No vetoes at all "Ultraconservative"?!?!? -=Mike ...He's passed more liberal measures than friggin' Bill Clinton did Jesus Christ man...read my post plese. "NEAR ultraconservative". Read it, its simple. I dont think he was 'ultra' anything, but has ventured 'near'. But for your points - the medicare bill favors big businesses, not American people. Youre a polisci guru, you should realize that, even if Bush can do no wrong by you. And the education bill cant be successful if we spend all our money and dig deeper into debt by spending on supporting the brilliant Patriot act and attacking/conquering/occupying other countries. But hey, signing bills is fun though. Hes 'near', not 'ultra'. Read first, thanks.
  9. I'm glad someone else shares this sentiment. When Jim Duggan came in and beat Austin for the US belt, I was pissed. Plus, I didn't like them turning Flair when they did. He had *just* come off the feud with Vader where they built him up as this big inspirational wrestler and was very over as a face before Hogan came in. Hogan just seemed to mess everything up for me. Exactly. The marks then were into the WCW product - face Flair, heel Austin, etc etc. Hogan never got over as a face because it wasnt what the crowd wanted. Just because a person is famous/popular doesnt mean he will work well for every product. Example- Chicago Bears sign Kordell Stewart, a famous quarterback. Stewart does not fit the Bear's scheme at all and flounders about all season. Popular guy, but inherantly wrong for that system.
  10. Mike does...hes a poli-sci guru Im sure Lockwood never thought of his daughter, and other suicide victims never consider their families either when they do this. Christ, you really are clueless to life and pain arent you? For those of you that can so shittalk a man and his family's tragedy like this - I am very happy that you have never had to experience pain like this in your own life. Good for you I say, good for you. Hopefully you never have to either, because if you cant grasp the situation when it happens to someone youve never met Id hate to see how you will handle horrific pain and tragedy in your own life.
  11. It doest get talked about often because the entire idea was horrible. The match itself was decent enough and the Halloween Havoc rematch was quite good actually, but WCW fans loved Flair and didnt particularly care about Hogan. When the Hulkster arrived at WCW that summer they held a parade for him...the audience showered him with apathy. His debut match was for Flairs title and he went over clean...not really what the WCW marks wanted at the time. WCW had been doing well enough and improving constantly with Flair at the top. The Hogan regime pushed them back to a deep 2nd place behind Vince, their fans never truly embraced face Hogan. It wasnt until they develpoed the NWO angle and a new excting product that they took the #1 spot. But as far as the Bash goes, their fans didnt care at the time so why should anyone now? OK match, but totally meaningless in hindsight really. And that entire 94 card has been completely overshadowed by Bash96(good card, wrestling, and the shock ending).

    If the voting was today...

I agree with you Mike. Bush DID win, and I said the same in 2000. Anybody running for president of the USA knows going into the election that the electoral college counts, not the popular vote. Obviously. But, it still deserves discussion/debate. It was very controversial and touchy to many people. More Americans voted for Gore than Bush and the results could have badly harmed our political system. Elections with similar results that occured more than 100 years ago are still argued/discussed to this day. It is a very important topic that still warrants discussion and will for a long long time. Also, another very valid point is that after such a close election George Bush should have remained a more moderate president, not the near ultraconservative run that hes had.
  14. Point for Drury. he's so obviously fucking with all of you that it's selfevident even to me. No fucking shit....did we all just think that he was really polite? But, nonetheless, the fact remains that Drury is still a queer pansyassed bitch.

Yeah, I know, it was a whole 4 years ago! I mean, a presidential race was won by a court decision and not by the votes of the people...but it was FOUR years ago! Ya'll still bitching about this being brought up should consult your history books - chapter Hayes-Tilden.
  17. Drury is a faggot-fucked little bitch. thanks

I can't listen to this album without crying.

I always listen to Buckley to cheer me up. Nick Drake deserved his mention. Also, Pet Sounds by Brian Wilson/Beach Boys and the Alice in Chains unplugged show.

  21. what a poor guy Poor guy? I don't feel bad for people that commit suicide. Yes, he was having a rough stretch in life at that point, but tough people work through that. They don't give up by overdosing on painkillers.... ...and killing themselves in their best friend's home. Suicide is rarely an acceptable solution. Maybe if you're on the verge of dying, and you're in incredible pain, it might be okay to just end your misery. But besides that, it's just a pathetic way out. I feel bad for Steven Richards, I feel bad for Lockwood's family, I feel bad for everyone that has been affected by Lockwood's decision. I don't feel bad for Lockwood. His suicide was a selfish decision. someone here has apparently never known a friend or family member who commited suicide. you apparently have never given thought to what drove him to this. but hey, its good to know that your life is so grand that you can shittalk people who commit suicide and have zero clue to what happens with this sort of tragedy. and on a personal note....fuck you bitch.

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans

You just assume that giving Benoit the gold at WM is the RIGHT thing. Fact is, if they give Benoit the belt, they will have a problem because ANYBODY he jobs the belt to will lead to incessant complaints by, well, a lot of you. -=Mike Not if it is done right. It couldn't be done properly for some here. They could have Jericho going over him and there would be complaints. This angle is being booked rather well and there is nothing but incessant complaints. -=Mike Explain how it is being booked well? Benoit jumps to Raw for no reason, enters a feud with HHH and HBK (who has no reason to be there), Benoit is treated like shit by HHH and HBK in an interview, HBK beats Benoit, it's going to be a 3 way at Mania and Benoit probably won't win. Yeah, great booking. the audience seems to like it.... Since when does WWE care what the fans want? HHH over Booker, RVD, Kane, Goldberg, even Nash, the fans hated that and they didn't care. Didn't the fans love Benoit winning the Rumble? If crowd reactions are that important, he should be winning a 1 on 1 at WMXX. but when the Clique point out the reaction to Vince...theyre listened to. unless the pops are for Cliquers, Taker, a Mcmahon, Brock, Hogan etc....Vince seems to suffer hearing loss.
