Clinton was nicknamed Bubba --- but I never heard ANYBODY call HIM dumb. They called Arkansas backwater and hick, but I've never heard Clinton called ANYTHING (well, outside of a terrible speaker following his unbelievably boring speech at the 1988 Convention). SNL never EVER hinted that Clinton was dumb. They played on him being a glutton and possible drug dealer --- but he was NEVER construed as being dumb. Not one single time that comes to mind. -=Mike exactly what i sad Mike, Clinton got cast as a fat trailer clown, Bush is played off as an idiot. I dont have any complaints about either. Clinton was heavyset, did grow up in a trailer, has a few undesirable kin, and acted like a Kennedy. Bush cant enunciate words outside of a middle schooler's vocabulary, has a history of substance use, and generally looks lost and confused.

u h...Clinton WAS often shown in a less-than-intelligent light by the media. He was given nicknames such as 'Bubba' and basically compared to trailer-trash. Both Clinton's and Bush's public perception(hick vs. dumb) were mostly pushed by the 'lighter media' such as late night talk shows, saturday night live, movies, comedy, etc. Neither has been seriously depicted as such by the 'serious media' such as newsprint and televised news(this doesnt include fox news) although both have been on occasion. It happened to both, just different situations.

Nope. Bush has been horrible with financial restraint and needs to, once in a while, veto a ridiculous bill (and there have been more than a few). America is awesome...we have so much spare money and so few problems that our president can focus on the moon and mars! We all have healthcare, enough money to feed our familes, safe transportation, clean water/air, a safe and peaceful relationship with the world, a steady economy, and jobs to spare. I think a WMXX main evented, in madison sq garden, by a well-built Benoit-HBK match would draw well and break 4 stars.
