The fuck you talkin bout, emotion? Adam Morrison crying like a bitch because he lost a semifinal somehow means more than Kevin Garnett going nuts because he won the NBA Championship? Load of shit goin on here.

So, after making some mexican style coleslaw for the carnitas tacos I'm making in the slow cooker (probably another couple hours or so until that's ready) I had half a head of cabbage left and didn't feel like making more coleslaw. So I went ahead and did Agent's favorite food, fried cabbage. Pretty good stuff, I especially liked how the heart of it tasted, and the thick leaves, if they weren't quite burnt, tasted pretty incredible too. That's a really good snack if you're making some other stuff, and fast as fuck to make. Cheers to Gene for that one. Although I've gotta say, I wonder what's up with all the other fried cabbage recipes online where they talk about throwing in bacon and onions and all that other jazz? Just seems like you're making hot sauerkraut at that point.

Or the ones who are from L.A. and desperately want to support a team there but can't stand the Lakers. Which, really, isn't that many people, yet there's two Clipper fans on this board.

DECLASSIFIED: Well I guess that confirms it's Leena
Hitler Cubano replied to Smues's topic in Brandon Truitt
That was my first guess, Danny. It's not Leena acting on her own, but who else has a vendetta against TSM that badly? Then again, there are several people out there who do shit like this just for the hell of it. -
The Agent of Oblivion question of the day

Just penicylin and wellbutrin, which made me gain like 40 pounds and break out in a horrible fit of acne and rashes. Awful, awful drug. Getting off that was really a better self esteem booster, since I lost all that weight plus the nasty skin conditions. -
For the same reasons certain suburbs of Chicago don't have tons of Cubs fans. I still think moving the Kings there is a stupid idea. San Diego doesn't have a team, try shooting a little further south.

As long as they can get a new CBA deal done, I don't give a fuck who it is.

I fucking love the library, and it loves me. The fact I can reserve practically any book or DVD online and then just come by pick it up and it's mine for three weeks for free is fucking awesome. I'm also part of the most widely used library system in the country (19.9 million circulation!), according to what I've heard. Go Multnomah County!

So for the second year in a row, I have a rooting interest in college basketball. This time, however, Portland State gets a much easier matchup going against Xavier than fucking Kansas like last year. Do me proud, Vikings! (this is from last year)

Shot you a trade offer. Don't think that'll work since I'm trying to do a 2-for-1 deal. Basically, I have Richardson, Aldridge, Oden, and Lee and to an extent, Rudy Fernandez as all potential keepers. Since we can only keep three players, I want to do a 2 for 1 that someone could use- figured Richardson and Aldridge would be the best package deal I could send out- for someone back. I sent out a few other trade offers. Lee is the only player I have that's off limits. Everyone else is fair game.

What CWM and al pointed out up there is my reasoning for voting Czech. Also, bastard voted against me in the Best Poster Tournament when I needed him the most. That said, I don't think Jingus or Czech will end up going all the way on this thing, my vote here was more symbolic than anything.

The Agent of Oblivion question of the day
Hitler Cubano replied to Agent of Oblivion's topic in No Holds Barred
I don't think I've ever done it- possibly my dad might have tried taking me out to do it once when I was waaay younger, and I knew he liked that stuff when I was younger since he took my mom fishing every now and then, but I don't remember it. For a long time I probably would've said I wouldn't have enjoyed it, but I think now living in Oregon where there's a ton of beautiful natural land and lakes to go fishing at, I'd definitely give it another go. Of course, I'm solely restricted to being an urbanite and no one I personally know goes out fishin', so I haven't even so much as gotten an invitation or anything to do it, but I'd love to. Considering I'm improving my skills at cooking whole fish, it sounds like it'd be fun, havin a couple drinks and chillin' by a tent, camping and all that. -
Agreed to disagree. In other news, Cuba's pitching staff is really struggling here.. or rather, their main strength (their hitting) has been totally neutralized in Petco Park, and they just can't seem to push runners in. They've been overly aggressive and that'll probably cost them the win here, unless something changes in a big way.

Pretty easy to keep winning elections when you have a gun to your head at the polls. Yes the majority of the country being poor when he came into office needed a gun to their heads to want to change the way things were being run. Makes sense. If there's one thing this administration preaches is a peaceful voting process that was applauded by other countries, including Spain; and we know how the King feels about Chavez. A peaceful voting process which included a coup d'etat in 2002 to attempt to remove him from office, and then re-drafting the constitution to make it so that he would get re-elected? Sorry, but there's no way you can justify Chavez's limiting of freedom of the press and of speech, his redistributing wealth so that EVERYONE in the country is on government assistance instead of just the poor. No coincidence either that since Chavez took over, Caracas' murder rate has tripled (making it the most violent capital in Latin America aside from Haiti) and part of this is because of Chavez's police. Everything is politicized in the country there, and his first time supporters are even among the ones that are claiming his "Fifth Republic" movement is the same shit as the "Fourth Republic". I don't want to drag this seriously dumb and completely off-topic debate in this thread any longer, but I'll be more than happy to split off a topic and move it to CE. This ain't the first time you and I have butted heads over this.

The Japanese can't seem to catch pop flys being hit in the sun. Insert your own racial epithet here, guys. EDIT: I can also see the umpire's enlarged the strike zone by about two-three times what it should be.

The Things That Anger You Thread.
Hitler Cubano replied to Man Who Sold The World's topic in General Chat
There's been a car whose horn has been going off for the past like, 2-3 hours. Not even in a car alarm way, but just one long, continuous "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep." Finally called the cops like an hour ago and he's still just sitting around. This is especially frustrating because 1. I have two big essays to write as finals for my classes that are due on Monday 2. There was just a huge house party day before yesterday a couple doors down and 3. I'm sick. Now I'm far from the Crotchety Old Neighbor, but this ain't the time to have extremely loud, extremely bothersome noises in the middle of the night. God damn. UPDATE: Finally, over 3 hours later, the Texan assholes have been towed. -
You mean the ones that were actually born in Venezuela and came to Miami because they saw their country going to shit? Yeah, right. No, the ones that are pissed that Chavez stepped on their shoes even though he had to with the enormous inequality. I think there's more than an argument that can be made to say that Chavez isn't helping the country as much as you think he is, but this isn't meant to be political. All I'm saying is that it's asinine to think that they have no right or reason to be upset with Chavez, never the less a player who supports him.

You mean the ones that were actually born in Venezuela and came to Miami because they saw their country going to shit? Yeah, right. Miami's a hell of an interesting crowd, although I guess now it's obvious why the Cubans aren't going to play anywhere near there. Would've been great to see, though. I don't think any of the players would've said something that stupid with Castro unless they were forced to. Ordonez is an idiot.
