Jericho finally looks acceptable.

You idiot, that direct approach never works.

How about Sycho Sid? I've skimmed over the thread and haven't seen any comments on him yet.

Is it me or has Goldberg's ability to sell always been overlooked? I agree that he has not always seemed motivated enough at certain points in his career to push himself to deliver great performances, but, when he *wants* to (like Shawn Michaels, as HTQ said) he can bust out very convincing matches where some of his selling is superb.

Exactly what had WWE invested in Scott Steiner in terms of money?
-
No way man, now we can all live out the dream of being Triple H, nailing the Pedigree and lying around for 15 minutes before making the cover and winning the match.

Ack! PAL users won't be getting this until February '06 now it seems.

IGN.com have a review up: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/658/658991p1.html I can't wait till the end of the month.

I wouldn't bank on too many Gamecube/DS combos.

You took your girlfriend to see Deuce Bigalow. ..

That's a little more re-assuring. PAL versions are usually pretty good with that sort of thing anyway. Are you on XBox as well, vivisectvi?

I was going to look into buying this game, however have heard several reports from people who have the game and are stricken by it's frequent freezing. Apparently, Activision is aware of this glitch and recommends you keep your 'hero stash' at a low and maintain several saves (which is horseshit, it shouldn't be happening at all). Has anyone encountered this?

Anyone ever play Punisher for Genesis? Fun little side-scroller, that. I think it is the only video game appearance of Nick Fury as well. UYI -
Oh Jesus Christ, shut up.

Benoit and Jordan *again*.

Actually, my principles on behaviour mangement were founded from my own professional experiences over the past few years (meaning that they, technically, are not actually *my* principles at all). Great little article that, though. Thanks.

While physically disciplining a child can prove to momentarily stop them from doing whatever it is they are doing wrong, I believe it rarely calls for the child to reflect on and think about why it is happening. Any form of effective behaviour management lies in children understanding their rights, responsibilities, the rules and the consequences. If you can show a child that, by doing Action A, they are choosing Consequence B, then behaviour management can potentially be much easier to achieve. There are always exceptions, and speaking from an educator's point of view who does not have any children of his own obviously makes me unqualified to even begin to try to see this from the the point of the view of the parents. However, showing children that you respect them enough to sit down with them, decide on the rules together and settle on realistic and fitting consequences, is often one of the most effective things you can do to promote 'good' behaviour. Children are not mind readers. They need to be explictly aware of the boundaries placed within their lives. Children thrive on boundaries, rules and justice. Often I was spanked as a child and I can definitely remember the actual spanking, but I cannot remember *why* it even happend. This is really my biggest issue with it (although, I will not deny that it definitely straightend my back up and made me reconsider whatever I did around my father). If children know exactly what consequence their action will garner, then they won't do it. UYI

Figured they would have put the Montreal match on there, but maybe Bret decided against it.

That has me thinking, who is the actual market leader in fighting games at present? Not in terms of quality, in terms of sales? I'd probably put my money on something like Mortal Kombat. I know that both DA & D have assisted in the massive MK comeback over the last few years and have both sold truckloads. The juggernaughts, such as Tekken, VF, to a lesser extent DOA etc., offer much more, but I fear that they are becoming so complex that they are scaring off casual fans. So anyone have any definite numbers? -

Anyone amped for Soul Calibur III? -
There is no way in hell Piper vs the Ortons could have been a 'pretty good match'.

Yeah, it's classic Hogan. Looks to be a model from around 1991ish.
-
Those character models look absolutely stunning in that trailer, particularly Hogan and Batista. The hit-and-run on Teddy Long was a little graphic.

VADER!? Okay, this thing just got a whole lot better.
