In which we recommend shit to each other

Yeah, and although it's a poor substitute, now that TNA is freely available there's no excuse not to catch either airing on Saturday or Monday. At the very least it should help you visualize some of those uncommon moves some people have in their stats. -
They can't. It's no longer the Gund. It's the Quicken Loans Arena (aka "The Q" now). Being from the Cleveland area, I wept when I heard the news. "Let's go see the rasslin' show!" "Where's it at?" "The Q." "Fuck it. We'll wait until they're back at the Gund." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why we call it the Gund anyway.

Please say we can visit the Gund soon.

It's possible it's a red herring, but as it stands, they didn't show her firing the gun for dramatic effect, and she couldn't have shot Sayid with no bullets. Sawyer had stated in Everybody Hates Hugo that there was only one bullet left.

I, for one, welcome our new fascist overlords.

Around there, I think.

Explain the UFC scoring system. I think I have it right, but I'm not sure. 10-9 for close rounds, 10-8 for thorough domination, is it not? Are there point subtractions for takedowns and knockdowns?

Someone cooks Cena's dog and feeds it to him? But that's the worst possible thing they could do for him. Talking is his strong point. In the ring he's totally exposed. Almost forgot. I'm usually not one for this, but... DAIVARI
-
Yeah, WWE only had to have Angle call out the fans, bait them, and align him with Daivari in order to do it. God, you're an idiot.

I always reasoned that it was hubris in some of these alien flicks as to why they get killed by our own water, atmosphere, bacteria, or whatever. Not necessarily creator oversight, the aliens just never feel the need to check due to their own prideful arrogance. It's stupid, but it's also nature and history that these conquerers get so full of themselves that it leads to their downfall. In which case it's not so much about the ending as much as it is the lesson. Then again, though I've never seen War of the Worlds, I really doubt Spielberg was going for something like that, as it seemed like nothing more than big, dumb action with a high pricetag.

I'm proud to say I've never played a Final Fantasy game.

Wasn't a significant portion of early Jackass just recycled CKY anyway?

Did I ever mention how much I hate nostalgia? It's okay for a one time pop, but bringing these people back, especially to wrestle on a semi-regular basis, is retarded. Johnny Ace has got to be one of those in trouble. Isn't bringing in wrestlers part of his job description?

Hell, Gamecube has been on its way out now for the better part of a year, and the Xbox will likely be out of fashion by then for the most part, although developers will probably continue to support the PS2. A year and a half for development wouldn't normally be that bad, and it'll probably be closer to a year or so only if they release it at the beginning of the year. Though from all accounts, they've already brought in people for some work on the game, so maybe it's more a safe, generous estimation. It at least assures they'll put some effort into making a good game instead of rushing it out. Then again, Anchor had as long to develop each of the Raw games for Xbox, and look at how those turned out. The problem is that year-year and a half takes place during the console change. I doubt a great deal of gamers will be making a major shift to the next gen that quickly, or at least not enough for Midway to consider releasing it only on those systems. I should hope not.

There's no way I'm going through the entire roster, but Eric Young is great. He bumps and sells well, and can be a great funny, comedic heel with his reactions, expressions, facials, etc., as evidenced in the funeral skit, for example. I'm not saying he should be pushed to the main event, but he's serviceable in a tag team, at least.

What fighters are you digging right now?

Keep in mind I'm a novice and haven't seen much outside of the SpikeTV shows and comps. Favorites I've picked out are Loiseau, St. Pierre, Franklin, Tim Sylvia and Hughes. And of course Luke Cummo, now and forever. -
Hey, DiCamillo is hilarious.

I don't like Squidbillies. Didn't really pay attention to Minoriteam, but it doesn't seem very good. I don't have high hopes for Perfect Hair Forever. The pilot nailed the stereotypical anime stuff, but I don't know if it'll translate well overall. The dull lead and humor is the in the same hit or miss style as a lot of Adult Swim's stuff. The show they piloted last week, Lucy, Daughter of the Devil was decent. I think the VA of McGuirk was playing the Devil. I went from liking TGTTM. To hating it. To coming around on it and thinking it was basically okay. It has a lot more to it than 12 Oz., that's for sure. The Mayor and Tom make for good combo. There are a number of great moments and the schemes they come up with are generally worth watching for, even if the humor doesn't always keep up. But I can understand why people don't like it or Super Milk Chan. 12 Oz. Mouse is like an experiment. A terribly unfunny, poorly drawn and animated experiment. I like dry wit and I know AS prides themselves on doing a lot with practically nothing in the way of animation as long as the writing is good, but 12 Oz. has zero of that. It comes off like a ten minute Newgrounds effort by a slightly retarded 15 year old. As for Venture Brothers, yes, new episodes are in the works for early next year. What? Do you mean Birdman is done in humor, or done as a series? It's still on in terms of writing, and being that it's a favorite and not even close to languishing in mediocrity like Sealab was, I think it'll still be in production. Boondocks was okay, I liked the wigger son of the bank... guy... whatever his name was, along with the security guard. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was hilarious, however. But, wow, I just love how AS shortchanged anime again by throwing the Boondocks repeat on Saturday. I know the ratings are poor in comparison to Sunday, but with Sunday having an extra hour the least they could do is leave the full Saturday night to anime and stick with it.

900 or so. I'm on a good pace to meet my normal quota.
