Because they actually managed to make them look younger...? Becuase it looked like CGI? Some of us aren't computer animation experts that can instantly examine every nuance of an image that's only on screen for a few seconds at a time. In other words, it looked real to me, and I have absolutely no idea why you're complaining. How does noticing shitty effects make you a computer animation expert? Except it wasn't that bad, and the vast majority of the criticism I've heard (throughout the internet and especially on this thread) that was either that it didn't follow the comics or someone's favorite character wasn't used. Like I said, it might not have been the movie I would have made, but that doesn't make it bad. - The special effects were inconsistent. Ie: shit-tacular. - The script-writing was horrible, which of course leads to some really bad acting. - The fight scenes that had little to no excitement or climax to them. Iceman vs Pyro should've been way more than a fucking headbutt. - Don't even get me started on the plot, and the fact that they base it off of one of the worst story arcs ever from the comic books. Ratner is a hack, and this movie proves it. If I were faced with watching either this or Daredevil for eternity, I'd pick DD every time (and I hated that, too).

I don't think the main beef is that it's unlike the comics - it's just that it's an all around crappy movie. I've come to expect more from this franchise, and this movie was total shite.

^^^ Correct - though the claws may also have something to do with his mutant abilities. I remember one issue where Magneto literally ripped the adamantium from his bones, but he still had claws (bone ones) afterwards.

Yea, I believe she made an appearence in the scene where Quill killed the woman. When he told the two girls to go get the kid, she was one of them. (At least I believe so..she had purple hair.) And she appeared to walk out of the wall, but I assume giving a quick look at her powers on wikipedia, she made an 'illusion' of some sort. 100% agreement on the Iceman/Pyro fight. I don't see how people can give kudos to the action sequences. All of the fights had such mediocre climaxes.

The two guys at the end said they found "it" - not "him." Also - her father was on the board for the Hanso Foundation. Wow, spman, "turd" wasn't an appropriate descriptor. I find "pile of puke" much more accurate - everything from the subpar acting (which you can't really blame on the actors considering the god-awful script) to the inconsistency in the effects and convoluted plotline.
