Ejiro Fasaki vs. "The Maori Badass" Va'aiga Well, Ejiro is on a definite run with the United States title. This could be a very important match for his character. Va'aiga is going to be a true challenge for him. I'll do this by Frost 'Logical booking' and say that Ejiro retains, if only to further his owning of Dub Cee, which I think people are forgetting about. "The Sinner" John Duran vs. English Dragon Duran is a man on a mission here, as he has promised to write for this match and I think he's got the skill. Dragon, on the other hand is fresh into the world of the WF and it could take a period of transition... wait, wait, I've read his matches, scratch that. Still though, I'll go with the more established write to win this match. Jay Dawg vs. The Boston Strangler JD doesn't seem to be around, so I'll go Stranngler all the way, having him built up nice and strong, so that Wilson can blow up Fenway Park and then laugh, as the Philadelphia Orchestra plays in the background. "The Franchise" Mak Francis vs. "The Sacred One" Andrew Blackwell No comment. Wildchild vs. Johhny "The Barracuda" Dangerous The face must go over. It's law, dammit. Besides, it doesn't seem like this is being built to swerve us and have Dub Cee turn heel... but if he does, you heard it here first, bitches and hoes. "Deathwish" Danny Williams vs. "TNT" Taylor Nicholas Thompson Danny wins, as this is the only thing that'll make sense. I mean really, if he loses, where does he have to go from there? Double Jeopardy (Quiz and Show) vs. Crowe and Dante Crane This better be as good as it potentially could be. PUSH Edwin MacPhisto vs. Nathaniel "Silent" Kibagami Normally I'd say the face MUST go over, but the LMS stip is there for neck breaking. Silent gets his retrobution, if he writes and Edwin rides off into the sunset, putting over Kibs until he thinks of a new character that'd he'd lke to grace the WF with it's presence. Dace Night (representing "Grand Slam" Mark Stevens) vs. Bastion (representing the Hville Thugg) vs. Michael Craven (representing the Suicide King) This is very tough as Dace and Craven especially need this win. It's a huge HUGE win and I say... PUSH AND THE MAIN EVENT… "THE SUPERIOR ONE" TOM FLESHER VS. "JUDGE MENTAL" WILLIAM HEARFORD Drew Kelking it

TV TITLE HARDCORE MATCH Brian Bowers© vs. Jay Morrison I like the fact that Bowers seems ready to learn and move up the ladder. Morrison has some skills, but I'll go with Bowers to retain. TAG MATCH Jimmy “The Demon Liston” & Craig McLennan vs Dominic Korgath & Brian Kingsmen If Korgath and Kingsmen write they should win, in my opinion. EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH LADDER/SUBMISSIONS Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix vs Todd Royal© Royal seems like a good pick here, but Landon Maddix is quite impressive to me. This is a PUSH son. WORLD TITLE CONTENDERSHIP Manson vs “Hollywood” Spike Jenkins. Manson has a better chance of showing up than Spike. It's not like either of them are bad writers... it's quite the opposite. I really believe that what I saw in Spike is true and Manson has an unbelievable grasp of wrestling when he uses it... this is such a PUSH, because it could be a double no-show. MAIN EVENT WORLD TITLE MATCH English Dragon© vs Insane Luchadore vs Aecas IL has finally made it solidly into the World Title scene, but Aecas is definitely not a push over. All this match needs is for Crusen to start booking again and tell Dragon he flat out is not writing for the match. Aecas is the pick, but an IL win for the title is not that far off considering his last match.

The 3rd Annual SWF Awards Nominations
Above Average replied to HVilleThugg's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I just wonder about TNT for best face... he was a heel against Mags, and even when he went up against Flesher and Frost... he was a tweener, wasn't he? But I guess it makes more sense to have him in as a face. Other than that, everything looks wonderful. -
Seriously awesome show... quite frankly it was unbelievable... but Edwin missed one promo in there. So make it a even 20... with a few edits cause it was rushed when I sent it in. It goes right after the Duran/Francis match and if it could get edited onto that by a mod... it'd be great. More detailed comments on the show after class! !!! ===== The Franchise continues to lie on the mat, as John Duran finishes soaking up the capacity crowds jeers. Andrew Blackwell slowly makes his way down to the ring, walking up the steel steps to the ring apron… and that gives John his cue to leave. He rolls out of the ring, both hands raised in the air, in triumph, as he goes up the ramp, happy with the fact that he proved himself a winner against the current ICTV champion. Meanwhile, Blackwell has made his way through the ropes and brings the microphone from behind his back, standing with a regal posture as always. “I wonder wants going to happen here?” questions Comet, as Sacred speaks. “Stand up Mr. Francis. Explain yourself.” “What?” says Mak still trying to recover from Duran’s attack, lying on the ground. “Explain yourself. Why would you dare to steal my spotlight? I knew that people were trying to suppress my message, but you must explain yourself!” Sacred bends at the waist, thrusting his microphone into the still groggy Franchise's face. “I’m not trying to steal your damn spotlight...” “Lies lies lies. You been trying to stop my experiment, haven't you.” asks Sacred placing the microphone in Francis’ face. “What does that mean? What the hell is this thing you keep talking about?” asks Mak, now up to a seated position. “That is a question for a different time. Just know that it continues as I planned. I believe Brian was right in saying that you wanted to steal my spotlight… even while you deny, you attempt to do it.” Finally Mak explodes… “It’s not about me and it’s definitely not about stopping your message—whatever the hell it may be! I just want to live up to my brother, damnit! I just want to be—I want to be what he didn’t get the chance to be! Part of the crowd gasp, as some make the connection between, this and Mak's earlier announcement during the show. “Bobby, do you know what happened to Francis’ brother?” “I… I honestly have no idea, Comet. I never even knew he had one…” Sacred pauses for a second, but responds quickly. “I understand this… sentiment, as I have an older brother of my own. Christian is a unique soul... but that does not excuse you—I know that you have some problems, and I will solve that at Genesis, through your pain. But know this—your so called 'fate', that you spoke of today, is nothing but lies! Now, will you accept this as a truth?" Sacred bends down to eye level with the fallen hero. "Will you denounce this preposterous ‘fate’, of yours?” He asks practically spitting of the word fate, like it was bile in his mouth. “I can’t… I won’t…” mutters Mak, still on the ground, as Sacred shoves the mic in his face. Blackwell takes a deep calming breath, after nearly exploding. “At Genesis 4, we will have a two out of three falls submission match. For the unforgivable act of suppressing my message, because of this supposed ‘fate’, I will take your last shred of foolish pride and crush it… I will prove this 'fate' wrong by forcing you to submit to my will, not once, but twice in the same match… know your 'FATE' is false, Mr. Francis... know that your 'FATE' is false!” Sacred drops the mic with a look of condesention mixed with contempt on his face, leaving Francis in the center of the ring, broken, near tears, as the crowd can only look on in sympathy... "Oh my, look at citizen Francis... he looks... I just can't describe it..." Riley looks on at the scene in the ring, not sure what to say. "I don't know either Comet..." say Riley, in a sombre tone. “At Genesis 4, The Franchise vs The Sacred One in a 2/3 falls submission match… this is just unbelievable, what a confusing night it's been...” Fade out

A change of pace from your last few promos, which had more to do with 'history' and in my opinion weren't all that emotional. It finally seems like Kibagami is moving forward, by admitting that it was all about the chase. It's a real blood feud now... get it. I'm funny, laugh.

SWF Smarkdown Card 9-22--2003
Above Average replied to Kaertos's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I'll take the opening promo -
Taking a bad bump always sucks... damn those no talent jobbers and their poor attempts at selling and delivering maneuvers.
-
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH Daemon vs. Dominic Korgath vs. Brian Kingsmen Korgath if he shows. The man can write. TELEVISION TITLE MATCH Jay Morrison vs. Brian Bowers© I don't know, but I want Bowers to win, just so that someone can finally break that bastard TNT's record. You can do it Bowers! EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH Jimmy “The Demon” Liston vs. Todd Royal© Todd Damn, Royal takes this one. ELIMINATION MATCH Aecas vs. Manson vs. “Hollywood” Spike Jenkins Show up Spike. Show up and win. Please prove that you have the actual talent to get bumped. This is the kind of match that can do that. Aecas and Manson are both quite good and I honestly think Manson's wrestling mind could have had him in the WF earlier, if he showed more. Aecas is about as close to getting bumped as Dragon or IL, so show up or perish sweatmonkey. WORLD TITLE MATCH “Insane Luchador” Andrew Rickmen vs. English Dragon© I'll pick IL to counteract him not picking himself

Promo - Take a Little Disney Cruise...
Above Average replied to The Amazing Rando's topic in Smarks Junior Leagues
You are a curious one, you are... not that thats a bad thing -
The Wildchild character just makes you want to get behind him. It's very easy to rally with him in a situation like the one presented to us. All of the promos done by Johnny show that he's really invested in this match and G4 really looks like it has a solid undercard. A few matches announced and the return of Edwin MacPhisto, which was another in a string of nice moments. Surprisingly, I can't muster up anything grand to say. Silent looked a little too strong, but that's been discussed out the ass, since he was first bumped into the WF and if he can still be defeated, with certainty, then it's a non-issue. I wonder just how the Genesis main event will effect things overall. A rash of things have hampered our stable plans, but I don't know if I'd like to see the end of the M7. Two of the larger angles got set-up for G4 and now, with the last show on the horizion, everybody including myself, should be giving it the hard sell. This was one of the most detail oriented shows since last year.

Well, I've got a few, besides just saying all the old school guys, King, Axis, Thugg, X, Mark. When I was heel, I was so set to work with Wilson, but that kinda didn't happen because my bump class was delayed. That really sucked. Once again as a heel, I'd have loved a match with Edwin, because I used him and CIA to mold my entire heel persona, during my JL run. And while working with Wilson I might have gotten that chance... but sadly, it wasn't to be. As a face, there's still time to do a lot of things, like finish a feud with Flesher, have a CIA/Mak vs. Justice and Rule match, etc. But I'm happy I've gotten the chance to work with Muzz, who is somebody I always marked out for. It's a shame the tourney affected our feud the way it has. A damn shame. The other feud I wanted to run was with Divefire, but sadly that couldn't be done at the time. I always wonder if turning face screwed up more than just the East Coast Legacy, which could have been awesome, because I loved writing as a heel. I think I could've made the transition from cocky heel to meglomaniac (I wonder if Flesher will remember that one) given enough time with the M7. Not to be cocky, but I wonder if I could ever add a best WF heel to my JL one.
-
Since everyone no-sold Muzz again this year, I'll go with Axis/Sacred from G3. Both that and Edwin/Raynor were show stealers, with the amount of emotion put into the writing.
-
Getting ready for two a days has taken up my time. That and I wanted to see how many people would comment before I did... so yeah, if somebody tosses me a match, I should be able to comment. And if it's not too much trouble I'd like to whore out my board promos because more replies would stroke my ego.

double post

It was after G3. So if you want to get technical about it...
-
Cast I read it. But why get invested in it, we all know the girls die in the end As great a promo as ever though. And now that we've established that... Speaking of retirement promos 'In the fade' by Edwin MacPhisto was beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best promo of the year, if it counts. Which it should.
-
You know what for all the shit he takes I'm still going to nominate Spike Jenkins first Gauntlet match vs. (Card, (?) and Dangerous), with Dace interference at the end. It was, for all intents and purposes, one of the most memorable JL matches. Irony of ironies, I can't remember the middle person in the match.
-
SINGLES MATCH Dace Night vs. Quiz Quiz for the block, if only because then I wouldn't look so bad, after losing to him. CRUISERWEIGHT RULES MATCH FOR THE HARDCORE TITLE Wildchild © vs. Dante Crane At least all the belts are starting to get defended again... except the US title. Not that Ejiro didn't just put out an open challenge... it's like that thing was the WWE cruiserweight title. Well, if Dub Cee didn't drop da belt to Duran, I don't think he'll drop it to Crane. Not that Dante can't win this, but WC is finally starting to hit a groove. SINGLES MATCH “The Sacred One” Andrew Blackwell vs. Va’aiga I don't know if Sacred's back for match writing, just yet... but if he is, this is his match. TAG MATCH “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson & The Boston Strangler vs. “The Superior One” Tom Flesher & Ejiro Fasaki TBS and TNT win the meaningless tag match to blow off Flesher/TBS. Triple Flesh has to do the job sometimes SINGLES MATCH Show vs. Nathaniel Kibagami Apparently Show doesn't want to write singles matches, so if Kibagami writes he'll more than likely win. MAIN EVENT GENESIS WORLD TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL TWO FALLS MATCH “The King of Nightmares” Michael Craven vs. “The Judge” William Hearford Logical booking says Craven goes over, since he has a better history for a match with Flesher... but Judge seems fairly confident and the entire M7 has followed my lead and turned on Tom at some point. It's because he's an ass, don't ya' know. I don't know, the tournament just didn't allow for any proper build up, to the Genesis ME. Don't get me wrong, the title looks very important, but whoever wins will have to give it the HARD sell.

The Gospel of Mackenzie, Book I For the Highest Ideal August 17th, 1997 The corner house on Gospel Drive is immersed in brilliance. An illuminating flash, as intense as a supernova. The light, it’s too bright for words to describe. The street beyond the now curtain-less window is surprisingly quite, but without the normal hustle and bustle of the city, it seems, to him at least… odd. Philadelphia, this is not. Although, technically it is… “Wake up. You’ve gotta’ take out the trash, before we go.” A deep voice, filled with a hint of annoyance breaks through the haze of sleepy, muddled thoughts. He just rolls back the other way, pulling the light blue covers closer to his chin. A mumbled phrase is inaudibly parroted raising the ire of this other person. “Come on, I let you sleep the latest I possibly could. If we’re late for work again…” Another incoherent comment comes forth. “Look I have to drive us, and I swear, if you don’t learn some… yea, that’s fine, just wait.” Any normal day he’d be up by now, but damnit, being tired is no fun. Some people just aren’t morning people—a cold rush, a new sensation, a lack of sheets… AND bed, perhaps? *Thump!* “Aaaaaah! Shit!” He declares from the floor, half-tangled in linen sheets. “What’d you do that for?!” He exclaims before saying, in a noticeably lower tone of voice, “…bitch…” “We’re gonna’ be late… again.” “It’s not even like this is a real summer job! We’re camp counselors…” “Just get ready.” Time passes oddly when thoughts are muddled, but as the water cascades over his back, he shakes awake, shivering from the drastic change. COLD. A cold shower, never has there been a better cure for a case of the mid week blues, or a sleepy kid. From the corner of Gospel Drive, a window on the second floor gives a great view of the streets intersection. The city skyline on the horizon, a wooded area in the forefront, with a few people walking dogs, while some children play. A distinct change of pace from the steel and cement structures of the metropolis. Cumulus and stratus pass overhead… it looks like rain, he muses, now dressed and ready to go. “We’re late… damnit, you’ve really been a pain in the ass today. Maybe you’ll understand the concept of time once you grow up.” The question is rhetorical, but it gets answered anyway. “Since you understand ‘time’, are you grown up?” He mumbles. “You sure act like you know everything…” “That’s because I do.” His mouth curls up in a smirk at the comment. “Nah, seriously though, I don’t know it all and doubt I ever will, but I can say for sure I’m not grown. See, everybody associates being eighteen with coming of age—not me though. It’s odd, you’re officially old enough to buy cigarettes and porn—don’t look at me that way, yeah, porn, at eighteen, so you should be ‘grown up’ at that age, but I never saw it that way.” Some Light-hearted laughter escapes… “So what way do you see it?” “You have any thoughts, on that?” “If you’re not counting eighteen…” A light drizzle starts outside, wetting the road, but ending just as quickly. “Everyone I know can’t wait to be twenty-one. Yo, legal drinking, going out as late as you like… no curfews. Who wouldn’t want that…?” Though it’s morning the lights slowly fading… “See, I don’t agree with that either. Sure at twenty-one you get a hell of a lot of freedom, but—” He takes a deliberate pause. “Now twenty, that’s an interesting age, if you really think about it—give it a try.” He looks at the younger boy, who turns to the window and brings his hand to his chin. He’s really thinking about this one. “I’ve met people who were convinced that being twenty is absolutely useless in the grand scheme of things. They say nothing changes… but, in reality, one of the most important issues in your life gets resolved at twenty Mackenzie… “It’s Mak,” He, of all people should know he hates being called that, he came up with— *Beeeeeeeeep—CRAAAAAAAASH!* A sharp sound jars him, and he can’t help but cringe, still staring out the window. ‘I better go check and make sure everyone’s alright’ he hears, and a few people outside look at the accident, but all he can do is stare out the window. ‘Lucky it’s just a minor fender-bender’ is stated by someone, who, he doesn’t know. He’s perturbed, because everyone knows that corner is an accident waiting to happen and no-one has done anything to fix it. Heavy clouds cover the sun. Rain begins to fall, once again. There’s no light through the window. Suddenly, Gospel Drive is dark. *** …They can’t call you a teenager anymore.” “Hey Mak? Mak?” A voice rings out in the bowels of the Rupp Arena. “Why are you zoning out, mumbling stuff? You just broke Flesher’s reign with the ICTV title! That calls for celebration!” CIA looks at his tag partners’ blank expression. “Does King still have you down on yourself? Are you still worried about Sacred?” He looks at him again. “…Is there something else?” “Nah, nothing else.” He sighs, watching the rain sprinkle the pavement outside. “Just Sacred.” “Everything’s so confusing.”

Judge tapping out to a tickle. He was one cranky old man after that.

Sean Atlas vs. Dace Night, It was the one with the chainsaw vs. the weedwhacker, IIRC. I'd have to check if it was for the World title. But Sean hit a Saint Demise off the ring apron through the announce table, after cutting the ring cables with a damn chainsaw. Never was a better JL spot written. I hope I'm not mixing up matches, though.

Sean Atlas versus Beezel, Mask vs. Mask.

TLC match, J&R vs. Wild & Dangerous vs. Deja Vu. Since Mark called it something like the best match he's marked...

All is quite in Room 310, at the Holiday Inn Motel, somewhere between Oklahoma and Kentucky. It’s 1 AM. A digital clock on the desk clearly shows this. Mak Francis blinks now positive that he isn’t going to sleep anytime soon. *** *Ding* “I need to go out, any place is better than here, right now.” says Mak forcefully, startling the sleeping man at the front desk, after tapping the bell. “Huh—out…?” The guys’ nametag says ‘John’ and clearly John is still half-asleep. “Yes John. Out.” John rubs the sleep out of his eyes and re gathers himself. “You sure, you’re not looking too hot.” “I just… don’t want to sleep…” mumbles Francis, putting on shades to cover his eyes, even though it’s nearly half past one in the morning. “Well,” he says, pondering the options, “if your looking for some chicks, there’s a bar—” “Nah, I kinda have a girl and gotta’ be sober tomorrow... if I go there now, there ain’t a chance that I will be… not that I’m even 20 yet, let alone 21…” A pause. “…I’m still just a teenager. For a little while anyway…” The desk attendant looks at him for a second, acknowledging this fact by nodding his head. “You could try the college… it’s the middle of the week, so their gym is open till 4. A lot of us students can’t get there at normal hours, you know, with the studying.” He pauses. “I’m sure there’s something to do there and it’s only a few miles away. But you’ll need someone to sign you in…” “You said us students right? Wanna hit the gym up.” John looks around and smiles. “Sorry… I'm bored enough to do that, but I can't go. Gotta pay the bills, but this chick I know works the desk, well after two anyway. Give it a half an hour and her shift will start. I'll give her cell a call.” *** Francis dances in front of the heavy bag for a second, catching his breath, as it’s evident he’s been going at it for a while, since his shirt is covered in sweat. It’s a new start in a string of punching sessions. *Pop—pop… Pop* Two straight jabs followed by a right to the heavy bag. This is a defining moment. It’s time to see if I’ve got what it takes… *Pop… Pop—pop* A hooking left and another two strikes with the right. King handpicked Drazon to come after me, and I barely pulled out a win at the World title tournament. King wouldn’t pick him unless he though he could end my reign. But I thought he was on our side against Flesher and the Mag 7. And I really don’t know what the deal with Sacred is. Everything’s just so confusing… *Pop!* An out of control right. “I don’t know what to do… *Pop! Pop! Pop!* …And you always did.” *POP—POP—POP—POP—POP—POP—POP—POP—POP* Mak swings away with multiple, wild right hand strikes to the bag, nearly losing his balance. “Damnit…” Francis mutters, grabbing a hold of the bag, while he catches his breath. I can’t be you, but I’m trying. He gives the bag one more strike. *POP* “Twenty…”
