A Chat Tooling Review by M. Francis Sorry fellas (and the wonderfully talented GOdrea), it was very funny, and the Sandwhich parallel had me chuckling, but I just wasn't digging the message of this one. The kid may have a problem admitting things, but hell, everyone does. You're pissed at him and his teeny-smoker-skater-looking-for-approval thing. I completely get that, but you made your point halfway through (three quarters at the longest). He's not dumb -- at least I don't think he is. When you made your point, you should've just ended it, cause he looks up to ya'll and chopping him down won't get him to see his faults, however amusing it was. The repeated 'I don't cares' and reverse psych had me literally laughing out loud (lol!) <---- I made a funny! Kayne puts it well when he says "we're all self-conscious -- I'm just the first to admit it." Kibs, you obviously have more life experience (age wise that is, as GOdrea has it over you in spades in other areas) than most of the people involved in the tooling, so, while it must be VERY annoying to see the kid act that way -- you should also be able to understand that it's what they do. Hell, I still do it (well not lately since I haven't been in chat) and I've got more experience than IL, Judge, Zed, or Austin more than likely, from what I know about them. It just irks you all that he wants to be 'down' when you see it as dumb kid shit. Being superior can't change him being young. Only getting older. Just thought I'd give some perspective on the tooling, cause it came off as a school yard fight more than proving a point. A few exciting spots and I totally bought the nearfalls (IL poetry/drop out pot shots and Judge's amp), including Zed's false finish (paraphrased: Normally if you don't care you WON'T REPEAT IT!) I'd like to second WC's wouldn't it get boring, cause it did for me during the restholds, since they didn't go anywhere and just added to the chat length. Rating: ***1/2 bumped up to **** cause I loved the finish~! Comparable to the tooling of Johnny, but since I haven't seen this Rando tooling I can't give my opinion on where it is all time. I need to start coming to chat again, just so I can be around for some of this.

I only find one issue with this article and that is saying that a -- as in the singular sense -- neck bump not be placed in the signature stat category. My stats have the cobra clutch suplex in them, and I'll defend that moves placement to my dying breath. It complements rolling germans and holds a certain amount of believability that lends itself to near fall situations. Plus, its legit enough to win a match, but reasonably kick out of, even chained behind two rolling germans. Tom, in particular, help me organize my stats early in the JL, but one thing I learned after his help, is that you must have moves that lend themselves towards an opponent writing offensive flurries, understandable comebacks, leading towards believable near falls. Multiple believable near falls. Moves or situational attacks that when lined together create suspense. I won't say I haven't noticed people tossing around headrops, but I maintain that one can give your character a depth -- or mean streak, if you will -- that is necessary.

I could do one of those articles. I rule Flesher and Danny on the technical side of things... and I'm cocky enough to say it, even if it isn't true. I have been known to write a good technical match though, so I can do something on working moves, match construction, selling and overall atmosphere.

I really liked it. Very different stylistically from the first two films, but a Potter fan at work proclaimed this is where the book series got darker and thusly, better. It seemed to move quickly through the Shrieking shack section, but I understood everything, and if I want to get all the dramah~ I'll have to read the books, which I haven't as of yet.

This kid is scary. I was unsure if you guys should be doing a LMS match yet, because it's been built as the feds HIAC (it's ended about four careers), and you guys have plenty of time to drag out a feud, unless Kibs is retiring or something -- but I'll be damned if I don't like this promo and the LMS stip now. Surprisingly, Danny and I had similiar takes on this match. It's just that mine was flipped the other way and I had it go 3-2. Mak works the mat early goes for the ankle and gets popped for it, but scored an early fall on a pin combination, surprising everyone (1-0). Even though Danny's on the offensive, Mak tries to press, and they trade counters on some bombs (Germans and Dynamic Kick/Yakuza Kick) but Mak doesn't learn his lesson, continues to press even though he got lucky earlier -- Danny uses that to his advantage and hits a Dangerous Backdrop onto the bottom turnbuckle mid-match to swing it way in his favor (1-1). Mak's never the same after the backdrop driver, takes some basic moves of control from Danny (Doushime Sleeper while pushing the ropes away with his feet as Mak drags him for a break), but kicks out of the big moves (German, and maybe, can't remember which, a spike DDT or brainbuster, finally a powerbomb) and then stalls his ass off countering (On a spot we both thought up, Mak gets a Cobra Clutch, but Danny walks the ropes) or sandbagging out of the combo that beat him in the match just prior to this one (I can't remember the first move, a Powerbomb, followed by a Backdrop Driver). Danny expends too much energy trying to put Francis away and while trying to do this Mak gets a few bullshit suplexes out of counters (Railgun and German) that do no good -- a clutch Cobra Clutch suplex shakes Danny up, but doesn't get three. They're so tired that towards the end when they both go for their final flurry's, trading kick/elbow counters in an Austin/Michaels Wrestlemania vibe, they peter out... Finally, Danny hits a rolling elbow just as Mak a Yakuza kick, and they both take a ten count, on it (2-2). They have only a few minutes left so they get desperate and go for flash submissions, to get a quick tap, but they each counter the cross armbreaker... Mak gets lucky on a corner charge, gets the boot up and goes for a Victory roll, but Danny counters into his JL finishing submission (whatever it was, some kind of stepover hold) but Mak holds out in the final seconds (he was in the hold for a while) and we go to OVERTIME. Yes I played off (stole from) the Michaels-Hart Ironman... then I have Danny play Bret and catch him with a lucky superkick, to which he gets up from nearly before Mak and follow it up with a flush superkick for the win (3-2). I wish I still had the match, but it got deleted... so sad. The only problem was I REALLY rushed the finish. I even had a cool comment to take care of Danny no-selling the ankle (In his win after mine and the PPV), which he said would make for a better match btw us, by pointing out that in the first US title win, Danny was fine even though I attacked the ankle in my win, and he worked me by leaking false info about it, to catch me off guard and I got lucky on the roll-up out of a fujiwara. So, he decided to scrap that idea and work straight-up, but Mak only realizes he wasn't hurt during the beginning of the PPV match, hence, why he stops working the ankle after getting popped. Sadly, I lost, but I readily admit Danny's match was better and longer. It gave me some great ideas for my character wrestling wise, and helped me see how to execute some elements I tried in my match that he did better. Much props to Danny Williams.

The threat of Sayed Ali's sons getting mowed down was a real holy shit moment for season 2, which is why I voted for it, but the way Jack explained the towel torture in season one gave me goosebumps. He was stone-cold in his explaination. Honorable mention shout out to the Chase (officially a bad-ass after that) and the breaking of Stanton, because I wasn't sure if Palmer had the balls to order torture. Clearly it was necessary, but he'd ALWAYS been a by the books, on principle guy, in season 1.

Why worry about him. Jericho's got bullet proof heat and Christian doesn't. I know Jericho is Trips bitch, but bitter blood feuds lead to title shots for faces. It's a fact of life and normally they win. Eh, well see what happens, but Jericho/HHH has been on the back burners for a year or two now and might be interesting to see again.

Oh yeah, Jericho needs to get a man sized beatdown in the cage. With him bleeding like a stuck pig and Christian making out with Trish, then doing his chest slap taunt, rubbing Jericho's blood onto his stomach, while Tomko does his best original Kevin Nash impression.

This makes me think they'll go with Christian/Benoit. It makes perfect sense, if you ask me. Michaels does a run-in during Shelton/HHH, giving Shelton a third win and costing Trips a match that hurts his pride. HHH could win the match and then have Michaels attack, either works for me, but Shelton getting the win puts more heat on a HHH/Shelton match, down the line. Then next week they set up the HIAC. Bischoff could announce that the Cage match will be a #1 Contenders match, but more than likely X will just ask for a title match on the next show and get it after beating Jericho. Jericho/Christian have a Cage match, Tomko and possibly Trish interfer. Christian wins and goes on to face Benoit. Jericho then works his way back to Christian, by dealing with the 'problem solver'. Double ME it up and that way you protect Benoit and Christian. It gives Benoit a clean single win, Christian some ME level credibility and continues the X/Jericho feud without them actually having matches, so that Jericho can finally win whatever stip they want for the blowoff and THEN he has to finally get his revenge on Trish by putting her in the Walls. You can interchange the timing of revenge on Christian or Trish depending on which you think will get the biggest pop. I'm going with Trish in the Walls.
