What about the scene when Owen and Luke pick out C3P-O and R2 gets upset. Is it upset because he's being seperated from C3 or because he know who Luke is?

I watched ANH, and was wondering what happens to R2-D2 and C3P-0 after the end of ROTS.

I wasn't aware of that. How does that come about? Taken from the Jedi Council Forum R2 always had an eye witness account to pretty much every important event in the entire saga. He remained with Anakin through almost all of PT, and than with Luke in the OT. So C3PO would only translating what R2 is saying.

R2-D2 is also the one telling the story like a hundred years after the battle of Endor. So essentially R2 is the stories narrator.

R2-D2 is arguably the most important character in the entire series.
