count me in on the DD love. I love that game, why the hate? I don't get it. What do you guys think of Nintendo's E3 press conference?

sorta annoyed that the Wii version is supposed to be 'arcade-y' compared to the more sim-like versions everyone else is getting. I mean I get it, make it easier and/or funner to play, but why not include the sim version with the game as well?

awesome show. Every match was great outside the Eugene match, which I don't count. All the matches were really good. Jamie Noble going on close to a month of straight SD appearances. This is great.

sorry man, teh internets does not allow for clarity sometimes. I am sincere in what I said about you, especially since I'm pretty much done reading posts from folk who really don't know what they're reading or saying. I myself am trying to tell people that there is NOTHING wrong in trying to understand who the man that did these things was when he committed them, and trying to put some logic to his actions doesn't mean everyone is ready to excuse him for murder. -

dubQ I just wanna say how cool it is that you are so articulate. I think it's awesome, heh. edit: I just clicked on the link to that forum with Frankiebonz' post. That shit is to be expected of the dirtier gene pools in this world. Let Darwin take out the trash with people like that. -

thanks for posting the best post in this whole thing. I think as we become more removed from the sudden nature of this incident more people will come to realize that while YES, what he did we cannot forgive, it's highly doubtful that it was the same man we grew up with on our televisions, posters and minds. -
great psych horror film, and honestly I should nottttt have seen this movie when I did yesterday, particularly because But despite that, it was disturbing and AWESOME. People should see it.

at least at the end of their lives they were opposites, that's for sure. One of them was able to fight back against his worst inclinations, albeit a little too late, and the other could not do the same and lost in the biggest way possible. Seeing the end of WMXX, or that match period, was probably shown for the very last time this past monday. -

coulda sworn I read about Daniel being suffocated with a bag, too. But so many things have changed or come to light in the past 24 hours that really, it's almost hard to keep track of what is legit and is not. -

thanks for correcting me on the arm damage guys, I appreciate it since I haven't been reading everything in this post like I did two days ago. The fact that he used any sort of hold on either of them just seals the deal that Chris Benoit had a distorted sense of reality, at LEAST during his final moments. -

um, the boy was found in bed, as if he were smothered in his sleep. The crossface theory should have been thrown out the window just based on that fact, let alone the fact that the crossface does NOT apply any pressure with a knee to the back. Besides.. where is the damage to the shoulder if this ridiculous notion were actually true? -

How do you know? Comments like that have been made by a lot people throughout this thread and it's ridiculous. Stop trying to be armchair psychologists. Nobody here knows what was going on in his mind or what led to this. We don't know how far back his depression/insanity goes (although considering the restraining order, it obviously goes back to before Eddie passed). We also don't know if it was really steroids/stress that led to this or if he's just psychotic. Just because you see a man put forth good wrestling matches on TV doesn't mean he was a good guy. He could have spent the last 10 years as a raging drunk/wife beater for all we know. hey man, you are totally right, and I have said so earlier that we honestly cannot know what the hell was going on in his mind. But you know, I don't see anyone here equating his being a great wrestler to being a great person. All I see is people in a state of conflict with the facts and their sense of who they heard of for so long. and I don't equate posts regarding his potential state of mind as 'armchair psychology'. I also don;t like the term considering I just graduated with a degree in it.. heh. But anyway. The real point is that it's obvious he was sick, and it's not ridiculous to try and understand who this man was at the time he just lost it all. -

I've slowly moved on to this phase in grief that leaves me less in shock and more in a state of perplexity. Right now all I can really focus on is how deeply fragile human beings really are. We can be broken in so many ways. I mean honestly, what IS the kind of thoughts one has when in the state he was in as he killed his family? Perhaps no thoughts at all. Some sort of haze, a madness brought on from years of unresolved issues. who knows. Yes, we cannot be forgiven for what he did, not by any human standards. However, I think in time it'll become easier for most of the people outraged to slowly understand in a way, that what he did he did not as the man we grew up admiring.. but a broken-down man who lost to his inner demons. This really is a tragedy, so senseless and disturbing. and for the record, while I personally feel gross at the fact that he is being wiped out from WWE history, it really is the best possible thing WWE can do right now. My feelings obviously stem from the still-diffcult to overcome disbelief that this has actually happened. I hope God is a merciful one. -

2Gold, that is exactly right. There is what we call the cafeteria model in psychology, which basically says that you can take a little bit from here and there, and you will end up with one result, caused by the accumulation of many different influences. I think the reason why I cannot jump on the hate boat is because I study human beings, and while I can NEVER excuse behavior such as this, I sure as hell can understand it. The man was battered and bruised in my heart and soul due to many reasons. All these different problems and issues, take your pick, led Chris Benoit to commit this tremendous tragedy. -

to those in disbelief: I understand, because I still can't really piece it in my mind either; however, the fact of the matter is that Chris Benoit killed his family, then hung himself. It sounds and is brutal, nasty and very unfathomable. But it's also true. Nobody has to get on the hate mobile or whathaveyou, but eventually everyone has to admit that the mystery is over. He did it. The questions ahead are why, and what is going to happen to this industry as a result. -

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...a5-64b9b6ec214e In 2000 Our Lady Peace was asked to write a song for a WWE wrestler. I admit to being heavily influenced by martial arts but entertainment wrestling was never my thing. I knew very little about the sport. Our drummer Jeremy was more the wrestling aficionado in the band. Nevertheless one night in Toronto we met with a professional wrestler for dinner at a local restaurant chain. His name was Chris Benoit. Immediately I was struck by his appearance. Not overly tall but freakishly muscular and wearing a very large neck brace. He had suffered a few herniated discs in his neck days before and was on hiatus until he had surgery and was able to rehab. Throughout the evening we learned about Chris and about the sport. Chris was a purest and came from a true wrestling background. His technical abilities were revered by all who followed him. Above that he seemed like a decent, nice man if not a little tortured. Nothing surprising coming from someone so dedicated to this absurd lifestyle of injuries, painkillers, steroids and constant travel... We ended up recording a theme song for him in Seattle during the next few months. We would see him a couple more times at various shows on tour in the US and he seemed pleased with the song we wrote for him. Today I learned through numerous emails and Myspace comments that Chris Benoit had killed himself along with his 7 year old son and wife. I think back to that dinner we had years ago and struggle to come to grips with the fact that this was Chris' destiny. Assuming the authorities are correct in their assessment, I can't help but think Chris must have been in immeasurable pain both psychologically and physically. We may never know the answers to why this successful man ultimately was unable to handle this world and in no way do I personally absolve him of any guilt concerning the death of his son and wife. I guess I simply feel sad and somewhat shocked that someone I knew briefly had such a terrible and tragic ending to their life. Raine Maida -

if only this was the actual catalyst to change for the business. That could probably be the ONLY, ONLY good thing to come from this catastrophic mess of a tragedy. but you know guys, stop giving one another crap about those who feel conflicted or those who wanna see him in hell. The cognitive dissonance is purely human - it's very difficult for some, myself included, to think of someone we all deeply admired as a man who lost it and committed murder, and ultimately suicide. Let's give each other some slack on this until it firmly settles in that this has actually happened. -

at the end of the day you have got to feel like hindsight directs to Chris Benoit ending his own life. and yes, everyone should listen to the Fight Network Radio stream.
