According to the live report at PWInsider the last show of the tour drew a TNA record 8000 people (and I'd read earlier somewhere that they'd sold 7000 something at last check so that's probably an accurate number). So...if TNA is serious about running a ppv from the UK...will they be smart enough to run it in the place that drew 8000 for a house show? ... Stay tuned!

I don't know what the argument was about...but I guarantee you Booker was right. It does't mean Jarrett should have backed down like a bitch...but I would bet almost anything that Booker's ideas were better than whatever he was given.

Rourke vs. Santino = Gold. -
The observer said that every year (including this one) the plan is for HHH to win the title at Mania and then when the day comes they realize that everyone knows that and change the plan. This year will be of particular annoyance since he just had a lengthy reign that absolutely BLEW...and they've done nothing to freshen up his character. HHH winning the title back would feel like a giant step backwards. ...but they've already been leaning that way since they don't even let Hardy defend the stupid thing.

I just hope the dropping of HHH having to be #1 doesn't mean it's that the rebooking is to watch him win the Rumble match. I know he's going to end up in a title match for the millionth Mania in a row...but that would be a really lame Rumble.

three comments: 1. "Vince McMahon is said to be a huge fan of AC/DC, getting his first exposure to the band back in 2000 when they were performing on Saturday Night Live the night Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosted the show for the first time" It's amazing how out of touch with pop culture Vince really is. 2000? Really? 2. Beth vs. Trish or it's a waste. Even TNA would get this one right and put her against Kong and not Taylor Wilde. Come on E. 3. Randy the Ram vs. The Ayatollah. Book it! -
He's the proffesor.

So you would have it where there are no critiques of anything on TV because its free? Or would you choose to draw the line just short of people disagreeing with your opinions?

Casino Night was great. And the show hasn't been nearly as good since. That's they're fault...not the internets. Another nothing episode this week.

The only interesting thing about the silent clock is that Tony didn't get one right after Edgar did. Which works out great...since he actually did live.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009

Yeah. Everyone with lots of money gets scared when a Democrat is in charge because they take away all of the tax breaks for the wealthy that the republicans give them. Rich people get rich with republicans and then taxed to death with democrats. I don't want to get into politics about which is better...so i'll just post a cartoon... -
WWE General Discussion - January 2009

How exactly are they going to de-push her? Make her appear dumber in her storylines (but I thought we had something special Randy!) ? Job her out to better female wrestlers who should be beating her anyway? Make her date Test again? Randy Orton could take a shit in her purse...... I wonder if he trashed their hotel room after he was done banging her. I totally didn't put this together until you posted this...but the week after Kane attacked Miz he came by RAW to tell Kelly that her hotel room had been trashed. We should have known it was Orton all along. THE MIZ WAS TRYING TO TELL US. The Miz is all knowing. -
Ooh... King of Kong was tremendous. Probably my favorite movie of 07

That was the first year that I had seen all of the nominated movies...and I was very happy that Ryan didn't win. It was my least favorite of the 5. I thought that The Thin Red Line was twice the war movie that Ryan was.

That's not true. The answer is Searching For Bobby Fischer.

Rebecca won best picture and he couldn't even pull one for that... lame.
-
Hitchcock never won a best director either, did he?
-
Oh come on, that was funny.

Well we'd better...or else YOUKNOWWHO will start a new thread in Site Feedback.

I'll go the other way and say that Return of the King beating...pretty much any other eligable film that year was bad.
-
That would almost be worth it. ... Actually I picture Downey Jr. badmouthing DC comics and falling down drunk.

If they give that award to anyone else they might as well start holding the show on public access. Ledger is the only nomination keeping the building from being lit on fire.
-
This is exactly how I feel. Since most people won't really care about Rourke (I mean...regular people that probably won't even see the movie but will watch the Oscars) Ledger's the main draw. They usually do that award really early in the show. We'll see if the epic battle between Slumdog and Button will keep people watching.

I think you're the only person in the world that has this question Jingus. If something doesn't exist. And they make a movie. And the song is created for that movie. It is an original song (which is the award title).

some random quotes from the msn.com write up: "2) "The Reader" shocks the world. Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress. Yet again, Hollywood proves that anything about the Holocaust gets recognition. Even if it sucks. " "-- Bruce Springsteen was robbed for Best Song for "The Wrestler." Instead Hollywood rewarded Bollywood and two songs from "Slumdog Millionaire." Their track record of not understanding music remains perfect! " ... And IMO to add to the song discussion... Springsteen's understated stripped down song for the Wrestler perfectly matches the understated feel of Rourke's performance in the movie. Not getting to see him play it live at the broadcast sucks.
