I've watched that Joe/Steiner piece several times over now. What a great hype video. If you don't want to see those two beat the shit out of each other today...I don't even know what to say.

As the resident TNA enthusiast... I kind of agree... It IS funnier than anything WWE has done in a long time. I think the HHH/Batista storyline from last year was better (because in hindsight it made a huge star). But I think that Shelley is benefiting from it already. To be fair though...ever since they gave Shelley the paparazzi gimmick...he's been getting himself over. The Sting videos were hilarious.

The first show was shit. Since that is pretty much 100% of their product thus far. The product is shit. Will it improve? Well...it can't get worse.

I would put the belt on Sting. I don't know if that would be popular here or not... But I'd have Sting win the match and turn Christian full blown heel. He could face Christian one on one at the next show. They could do the JJ match after that. Then I'd have him face Abyss (just cause I think the match would be good). That would bring us to Bound For Glory...which MUST END with Joe choking out someone and winning the NWA title. Sting's probably the best choice in that role.

That's kind of true... But when I look at what they're doing... Christian is the champion...and he's headlined with Abyss the last 2 months. On one of those shows the JJ/Sting saga took center stage...but the match also included AJ Styles, AMW, Rhyno and the Truth. This month's main event has Truth, Christian and Abyss as well. And they're using Steiner to put over Joe (and doing a fantastic job btw). Also...did you know that with the exception of beating the midget last week...Kevin Nash has never won a TNA match?

Looking back on that Raven/JJ match... I think it's a good thing that Raven didn't win. At the end of that match it became apparent that Jarrett had to lose the title...and they did take it off of him soon after. After the Disco push was done...they put the title on Styles. To me...that was much better than Raven getting it. Raven with the title at that point would have been a fun time, as most people saw Raven as the bad ass ECW star and not the joke that WWE had turned him into. But Styles getting that push solidfied him as the face of TNA, a moniker that he's held since... Although Joe's pretty much taken it away.

You have to feel for Paul. JJ may be the devil...but the company he loves and puts his neck out for is putting on a pretty entertaining product right now even with the focus on older stars (Steiner/Joe, Nash vs. the X division, Stings presence starting to force a Christian Heel Turn) Heyman's company has turned into WrestleCrap. Or worse...a one hour extended Raw.

As for the future, well now you're only speculating and acting like it's fact. Given how Jeff has kept himself in the main event scene for way too long, to the point even the most loyal TNA fans began turning against him, and shows no sign of taking himself out, it's a fair conclusion that Jeff will have many more reigns as TNA/NWA Champion, simply because Jeff makes the final calls and TNA has long been shown to be his playground. Whenever anyone with perceived name value comes in, who do they either team with or feud against? After Christian's first NWA Title defense, whose issue took the spotlight after the match? Stings?

Just looking at that sig... The world champions right now are RVD, Rey Rey and Christian. ... Wow. -
Steiner: "I've smashed Nash, Sting...I've smashed HHH" Joe: "I am not a game...I'm a walking war" ABSOLUTE GOLD!!!

Since the people that we're being sold on watching tomorrow's debut for are EDGE AND JOHN CENA... What's the difference between this and Smackdown/Raw? Oh...it's the Big Show.

OAO Raw Thread- 12 June 2006
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in The WWE Folder
I've gone on record as saying that I don't like what they're doing with ECW, and for the most part I'm turned off by it... That being said...I really really want RVD to go down in history as a WWE champion... and things are starting to look up for me: "--We had a confirmation this morning, and keep in mind how much things change in WWE, that they will not be taking the title off Rob Van Dam tonight on Raw, and he will lose it in the ring at some time in the future. Van Dam vs. Edge is scheduled for Vengeance, although it is possible they would put John Cena in and make it a three-way since there is no obvious match-up for Cena on that show. To pretty much confirm that, Van Dam will be in Charlotte tomorrow at Noon for the Vengeance press conference, and the fly into Trenton for the tapings." -Meltzer -
I really want them to leave the title on RVD. Rooting for him to one day be World Champion is pretty much the only mark out moment I've had left. (Until Joe chokes out Sting). It kind of sucks that I have to wait until the day after he (maybe) won the title to do so... But if his name goes in the WWE title lineage...then it was worth it to me.

Man...the kid playing the new Superman couldn't look more gay. Like...even if men were fucking him in the ass while he flies around Metropolis... That's a draw.

1. I can't believe I care about a Scott Steiner match in 2006. 2. Alex Shelley is (and may end up being the only one to) benefiting from the Nash storyline. He's awesome...and his character really stands out with what they're doing. 3. I liked the KOTM qualifying matches that they ran this month. It made for some interesting TV. 4. I can't believe I care about a Scott Steiner match in 2006.

They spent 2 hours hyping the Cena/Sabu match as no rules... Used a chair for pretty much every spot in the match... And then there was a DQ. -

Oh I get it. The fake Kane is going to be the real Kane...and the maskless Kane is the character from the movie. They'll feud through the summer leading to a special ppv See No Evil The Movie, The Match...when the fake/real Kane will team with Brutus Beefcake to defeat the character from the movie and Zeus in a steel cage match...taking place live (on tape) after the showing of See No Evil. Brilliant. -
