I think Lesnar winning is the best of the two outcomes for UFC. They can still sell a Couture/Nog or whatever fight if Randy loses (and if they ever do get a hold of Fedor that'll sell if he loses too)...and they can brush it all off as Brock just being a freak. Which...helps Brock too. I'll be rooting for Lesnar too. If Nog beats Mir though...I don't like that fight for Brock. You can't stop Nogueria!!!!

Well...I'm glad that this is the guy who IS ready to lead on day 1.

The way they book...they can't sell ppv buys. They have a show that over a million people watch and they can't get anyone to pay for their shows. By the time 2 months of building to Foley wrestling was done they'd have killed any interest. This company has literally built 3 main event matches well in the history of the promotion (Jarrett/Raven, Joe/Angle 1, Joe/Angle at Lockdown) Those are the only main event matches that actually saw a noticeable bump in buys for them. In 8 weeks Foley would be just another guy.

The next two ppvs after BFG are scheduled for Orlando...meaning that (much like Angle, Sting and any other name they've debuted) they can't sell one ticket for people to see him wrestle unless they do it in Chicago. Besides...4 weeks is probably the perfect amount of time to trust them not to fuck up a build anyway.

Well...Short term would mean he's gotta be working a match with someone. They DO have their biggest ppv of the year coming up in October so the timing couldn't really be better for them. Especially since the card is still pretty up in the air (although I still bank on Sting/Joe and Angle/Jarrett) Maybe what they should do is use Foley to get Abyss out of this horrible anti-violence storyline he's currently entrenched in. ... That's if Foley is coming in to "work" and not just for them to have around.

Well...that should result in many many many many many many many buys. They can just scrub up the undercard and it'll still do gangbuster business.

I think I'll be going the route of having a two day event and I'll write match backgrounds detailing how we got to where they are.

You need to be able to let the crowd come down before taking them back up again. If you put all the "big" matches at the end of the show...the crowd is burned out for the finish.
