Promo: “The Art of Balance” ------------------------------------------------------------- Barely a week before the biggest wrestling event of the year is set to take place in Toronto, Canada, a 1,000 square foot auditorium fills up quickly half way around the world. The audience, consisting of television reports, newspaper journalists, sports editors, and photographers; buzzes with excitement. The news cameras begin rolling as several men, most notably SWF superstar ‘The Divine Wind’ Akira Kaibatsu and top member of the SWF Creative Control, Joseph Peters, walk onto the tiny stage in front of the audience. The crowd respectfully quiets down as a small man in a rather expensive suit steps up to the podium. Behind him, hung proudly, is the rising sun, the Japanese flag. At the bottom of the screen, the aging mans name is shown. Luckily, for the non-Japanese viewers at home, subtitles are supplied. “Yoshio Akamatsu” Sendai Pro Wrestling President "Shukujo shinshi ya, watashi wa sono kangaeni sansei desu kuso watashi tsuka no tsugi ni kisha-kaiken. Watashi Yoshio Akamatsu desu, watashi shacho dai Puroresu Sendai desu!" (“Ladies and Gentleman,” the man begins to speak, “I thank you for being here tonight for this press conference. My name is Yoshio Akamatsu and I am the President of Sendai Pro Wrestling!”) Yoshio Akamatsu gives the crowd a moment to applaud his announcement. Fixing his tie, he begins again. “Fa-suto ofu, watashi raiku wa sono Amerikan kaunta-ichibu, za Smartmarks Kakutou Rengoukai, tameni hon wa-kingu naka hosuto ibento watashidomo.” (“First off, I would like to thank our American counterpart, the Smartmarks Wrestling Federation, for our working relationship and for co-hosting this event with us.”) Yoshio Akamatsu points over towards where Peters is sitting. Peters rises from his seat and bows to the applauding audience before sitting back down. "Mohaya, suta-to kono assakuki shougi ofu. Watashi raiku wa sono monogatari puroresu, katsute jikoku Sanjuu Oukan Senshuken, kaonajimi takusan toshidoshi...KAZUO Kaibatsu!" (“Now, to start this press conference off. I would like to introduce you to a legend in Professional Wrestling, a former multi-time Triple Crown Champion, and a close personal friend of mine for many years…KAZUO Kaibatsu!”) KAZUO Kaibatsu rises from his seat and heads towards the podium. Shaking the hand and bowing to the President, KAZUO looks out to the crowd, whom give him the biggest reaction of the night. A burly, naturally big man (but obviously shrunken down and wrinkled due to retirement and old age) takes the stage. "Shukujo shinshi ya...Puroresu Sendai desu, za Smartmarks Kakutou Rengoukai, Kaibatsu katei, hanatakadaka otaku suta-to, sou yochi omomi - mai sochi - Akira Kaibatsu angya Nippon fa-suto nendo korede angya, mai sochi, Akira Kaibatsu!" (“Ladies and gentlemen…on behalf of Sendai Pro Wrestling, the Smartmarks Wrestling Federation, and the Kaibatsu family, I proudly announce to you today, that former SWF World Cruiserweight Champion - and my son - Akira Kaibatsu will be touring in Japan for the first time in over a year,” KAZUO clears his throat and opens a bottle of water, “Here to speak on the tour, is my son, Akira Kaibatsu!”) Akira walks towards the microphone, his beard looking a little extra tidy, and his hair a little extra neat. “Nin’I shimon?” (“Any questions?”) A sea of hands rise and Kaibatsu blindly swats his index finger at one. “Misuta-Kaibatsu, naze teiku ato angya-Nippon mohaya?” (“Mr. Kaibatsu, why take a tour of Japan now?”) Akira nods his head to acknowledge the question and has a very simple answer. "Souseki sebun roppou, Puroresu Sendai nekusuto uxi-ku. Kangae seiryoku enshutsu puromouto Puroresu Sendai desu, za Smartmarks Kakutou Rengoukai, za Souseki sebun aratamete. Ichidan?" (“Genesis VII is coming up, and Sendai Pro has a slew of big events in the next few weeks. We thought it might be a good direction to take to promote Sendai Pro Wrestling, the Smartmarks Wrestling Federation, and Genesis VII as I returned home once again. Anymore?”) The hands come up again and Akira motions for one in the front row to talk. “Hakarigoto kakutou Toshiaki Taue angya?" (“Do you have plans to wrestle Toshiaki Taue on this tour?”) Akira makes a bit of a face at that one, "Hai. hitteki AUTO Nippon-ichiban, hyu-man'enjiniaringu Bruce Blank hon'in, hitsuyou onoono arankagiri kousen. Angya puroresu, Souseki sebun, katsute jikoku 100% aratamete—" (“Well, yes. It was the match against him that sent me OUT of Japan in the first place, and then he got himself in between Bruce Blank and I, and you don’t need to know either one of us all that well to know we don’t like each other. If we do wrestle, it’ll probably be after Genesis, because I would like to be 100% for my match against—“) “I’ve got a question.” This phrase sticks out like a sore thumb, not so much because it was in the middle of one of Akira’s answers, but simply because it was said in English. “What’s it like, Akira,” the American man steps forward from the back of the room, revealing himself to be none other than “Hollywood” Spike Jenkins, “What is it like to have a father like yours and be such a disappointment? I mean, he is a legend, champion for almost two years,” Spike moves his way up to the podium, and is standing face to face with his Genesis opponent. “And that… you’re the offspring of such a legend?” Akira can’t hold it in; he just has to shove Spike. Spike laughs, and shoves Akira back. The media buzzes as Joseph Peters, Yoshio Akamatsu, KAZUO Kaibatsu and the rest of the men on stage try to jump in between the two cruiserweights. Cameras flash wildly as the two are pulled apart…but not before Spike gets one last sucker punch in… …As he cracks KAZUO Kaibatsu in the jaw, sending the old man to the ground. Akira pushes away from the men trying to hold him back as he dives towards his father. The audience gasps as a woman begins crying in the background, presumably Akira’s mother. Spike leaps off of the stage and charges through the crowd to the exit. Akira kneels next to his fallen father, shouting in Japanese as the cameras quickly fade to black. [FIN]

WWE signs four wrestlers from the past
HollywoodSpikeJenkins replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
So they have this giant roster with guys they aren't sure what to do with...and they hire fucking Rodney Mack, Brad Armstrong, and Henry Godwin? I swear to God, this company runs backwards. -
So...$10 for a N64 game. Will there be any difference between playing the game on the Wii then actually playing it on the 64? I still have my 64 and all its games, so is there any reason for me to shell out $10 a game?

We never named it 'Traitors Never Play Connect Four'! Might as well as nominate the two together, since I think they went together. "Traitors Never Play Hangman" and "Emotive Words and False Analog" - (Zyon and Spike Jenkins) -
