    Most Disappointing and Suprising Draws

Couldn't you say that Goldberg's first WCW world title reign was a dissapointing draw? Aside from completely ruining anything that they could do with him in the future, for the most part it was treated like an upper midcard act.

    Best comedy segment ever?

Of those, Rock/Eugene/Coach gets my vote. Musical chairs was a close second, thanks to Flair's strutting and groping of Stacy and Tomko's seriousness throughout the whole damn skit.

    Best North American Match Tournament

Hart/Austin is overall a better match and the one I vote for. Eddie/Rey is a much more flashy/exciting match, though.

    What wrestling books...

That is a problem. Reading is more fun when it's not assigned and comes across as being forced.

Best would be Ebay. There realy aren't that many good wrestling figure websites.

TNA News & Notes from the 7/12 Observer

I'd assume that the majority of the audience is local wrestling fans who happen to have a season pass or something. You don't have to pay the park entrance fee to go to the tv tapings. Even better. I'm sure it's propably 85% regular wrestling fan / 15% casual viewer and vacationer who was interested

    What wrestling books...

No offense, but saying that you just read wrestling books makes you sound kind of dumb. I wouldn't admit to that, but then again I'm proud that I'm an avid comic book reader... Anyway, here's what I've read... Mick Foley, Have A Nice Day and Foley is Good: The two best wrestling books I've read, hands down. Sex, Lies, and Headlocks, The Real Story of Vince McMahon: Really interesting, there were a couple things I didn't know about, like how Turner acquired/built WCW. One thing that was annoying was a couple recurring mispelt names. Hulk Hogan's Biography: All self congratulatory fluff. Positively Page, DDP's Biography: An interesting book, but the weird format of it just being random quotes and horrendous spelling/grammar errors made it a chore. Kurt Angle's autobio: I was very dissapointed with this one. Really boring. The Hardys autobio: I liked this one a lot. Matt and Jeff came across as being really cool and likable. The Rock's autobio: It was decent, but they should have done it later in his career when he would have more things of interest to discuss. Goldberg's autobio: It was pretty well written, and you really get the opinion that he is only in wrestling for the money.

Update On Kurt Angle's In Ring Return

With the lack of morale and guys getting screwed thanks to low payoffs for shows, I can kind of see them being upset. To them Angle's made tons of money and in his current condition should just give up wrestling. By him coming back, injuries and all, he's kind of taking their spot and money. I do know that Angle is a much better worker and promo guy than the majority of the people on the Smackdown roster, but I can see why they'd be upset.

TNA News & Notes from the 7/12 Observer

I was kind of thinking along the same lines of that. I don't think the average Universal Studios tourist would be that excited by randomly finding out that AJ Styles would be there. I'd assume that the majority of the audience is local wrestling fans who happen to have a season pass or something.

    Cool/Historic Stuff You've Seen Live

Was it a good hush or a bad hush? Somewhere in the middle. When they showed the brief clip of him backstage there wasn't much reaction, a slight booing. But when Vince brought him out and they hugged, it was more like what the hell is happening. A very bizarre hush where the audience did not know how to react.

    NBA Offseason News and Moves

from ESPN.com... Center is excited about Wade, Riley Warm weather. Smaller centers. A star guard. Pat Riley. Life in South Florida sounds mighty nice to Shaq. A source told ESPN's David Aldridge Saturday that the Lakers center has agreed to accept a proposed trade that would send him to the Miami Heat in exchange for guard Caron Butler and forwards Lamar Odom and Brian Grant. The trade has not been finalized, but O'Neal has informed both the Lakers and Heat that he will not do anything to hinder the swap and would not opt out of his contract after next season. The Lakers may be forced to take this proposal, as there are no other prospective deals on which O'Neal has signed off. Dallas was the early front-runner to acquire O'Neal, but a Mavericks source seemed resigned Saturday to O'Neal's going to Miami. The source said that if the Heat can work out a contract extension for O'Neal when his current deal expires in two years, there is nothing the Mavs can do to thwart the trade. Miami is one of five cities that O'Neal has told the Lakers would be acceptable to him. Despite O'Neal's smiling denial to The Associated Press on Saturday afternoon that he had met with Heat president Pat Riley, sources told Aldridge that O'Neal apparently agreed to accept the trade after spending part of Saturday morning in Orlando meeting with Riley and Miami general manager Randy Pfund. Apparently, Riley, Pfund and O'Neal's representatives met for three hours. O'Neal was not present for the entire meeting, but hit it off immediately with Riley. "He feels this is the environment he wants," a source who was at the meeting said of O'Neal. Riley "was really good about understanding what Shaquille wanted to accomplish," the source said. "He was a great listener." According to the source, O'Neal likes how Riley used Kareem Abdul-Jabbar later in Abdul-Jabbar's career and believes a return to the Eastern Conference, with its relative lack of big men, will help extend his career. O'Neal also was excited about the prospect of playing with second-year guard Dwyane Wade, who he feels is a special player. "You don't have to go back too far to see a guard and Shaquille being able to do some damage, even with role players surrounding them," the source said, referring to O'Neal's early years in the league with Orlando, when he and Penny Hardaway helped lead the Magic to the Finals in 1995. O'Neal will remain in Orlando until the deal is finalized. On Friday night, ESPN's Jim Gray reported that the Lakers had OK'd their end of the deal and the decision to make the trade, including either Butler or a first-round pick, was now in the Heat's hands. The Riverside (Calif.) Press-Enterprise had reported Thursday on the initial talks between the teams. ------------------ Apparently it's almost a done deal that Shaq's off to Miami.

You would think that with all of WWE's involvement in registering voters and such that they would try to stay away from such one sided political commentary on their website.

    Official Avengers Disasssembled Thread

I still can't believe they killed off ************ and ******, but it doesn't really matter to me since they are both fairly expendable as far as characters are concerned. I like them, but there are still much better characters in the Avengers lineup.
  25. This summer's big Marvel Universe story is Avengers Disassembled, that is extending through all related Avengers books, Spider-Man, and possibly even the new Dr. Strange series. Here's a preview from it's first part in Avengers 500. http://www.dynamicforces.com/htmlfiles/ave...rvel063004.html
