Thanks for the recap on Kreski. I personally didn't like the Love Triangle / McMahone Helmsley Regime stuff, but I do recognize that a lot of people did like it.

and he was a Backseat Boy with TRENT ACID

He played basketball during college.

When/what was Kreski known for doing during his WWE tenure?

My favorite one was the one where they go back to the 1950s with the Area 51 parody. Zoidberg is impeccable in that episode.

The Lakers just didn't show up. Hornets/Heat rocked my socks off, and I actually can't wait to see game 7.

Very cool. Garnett was awesome this season.

I don't know about starting Fisher, but I would definitely think that they should have Kobe guarding Parker.

He wound up being blamed for it because soon after, Bagwell wound up leaving/being fired. Huh? Bagwell was completely blamed for it and was promptly fired a couple days later (the hurricane incident didn't help his case either). Booker wasn't blamed at all...He went into a main event run with The Rock and hung up for a while before falling down to the mid-card/tag scene. I was saying Booker got blamed because I thought that is why he was totally made into a bitch for the Invasion angle.

Ugh. It looks like the Lakers decided to fly home early this afternoon.

My predictions: Lakers over Spurs in 7 TWolves over Kings in 6 Pistons over Nets 7 Pacers sweep Heat/Hornets

I think they'll keep Ai. But this is a great way to dump Coleman, Robinson, or even Snow or Mckie.

actually this happened at Wondercon... here's some more...

I would love to see them bring in Raven and use him correctly.

Changing the WCW logo was more about making it seem hip and fresh.

I saw the Steele figure, and it rocks. The Sgt. Slaughter from that set looks too buff though.

Mick Foley rocked at lacrosse in high school...

Is it good? It's a brilliantly written comic story. Read it now.

Personally, I hated the direction that Morrison was taking. I guess it all depends on whether you're a big fan of superheroics or not. When Morrison wrote that book, it seemed like the first time in forever that characters grew as characters. Rather than being mired in their own now-all-too-conventional characterizations, the New X-Men changed - Emma Frost fell in love with Cyclops and, being the amoral person that she is, did something about it.. Cyclops (who probably got the biggest boost from Morrison) finally started having some key personality flaws (i.e. he's a superficial horndog). All of the other issues were distilled down into their most essential components - the team didn't sit around at the mansion and just wait for someone to come blow it up (a key flaw to Claremont's decline in the 80's), human/mutant relationships were placed from different perspectives during the Jumbo Carnation storyline and he even made a wonderful contribution to the X-Men Mythos (the whole idea of the mummudrai, which I know I just horribly mispelled, is terrific). The other X-Books, on the other hand, basically sat in stasis while Chuck Austen rewrote Romeo and Juliet for the mutant crowd (whafuck?) and Chris Claremont earmarked all of his stock plots in the 80's for yet another repetition in X-Treme X-Men. I guess, for me, it was just a welcome change. I love the classic Claremont era of X-Men, with the Dark Phoenix and Inferno, but the franchise had since become known as a pinnacle of capitalistic desires, as Marvel shoveled out as many titles as they could with an X in front of them. It was time for something new. I guess I just hated the overall direction that they were going with. I detest the whole idea of their actually being an X-academy, instead of the whole school idea really being a sham so they can be a covert operations team.

The only reason I wound up with any New Universe comics was becasuse they were in value packs that I picked up.

Bad News Brown won a bronze medal in Judo. I know what someoen was mentioning about the RVD lift, but I'm not sure if it is a legitimate stat.

Because Lex Luger's involvment in Liz's death actually got mainstream coverage and the steroid incident was another covered story... That's odd, I don't recall it being covered by any non-wrestling media outlets. I'm sure the local news in the area it happened covered it, though. Still, why would they care to give a smidgen of attention to that insane carnie Vince? They tend to pretty much ignore him after the Billy/Chuck incident. I know for a fact MSNBC covered it. I can vouche for that. It was also mentioned on CNN. If they do want to bring Sting in, they should for a short time, like next January through Wrestlemania. That would be enough time to bring him in, have a brief feud and than a big match against Flair. Then he can dissappear before he gets stale/exposed.
