I got a nice chuckle out of that one.

Nevermind. Now I know

Why was this thread moved to the FB&C folder?

That's the same thing I'm feeling. Marbury is yet to develop the ability to totally take over a game.

Craziness. Greatest quote of the day.

That is one of my favorite memories as a casual Knicks fan.

Even though Turner isn't an active member of his old Time Warner stations, I'm sure he sill has many friends that would hear him out.

There was no way that the angle could have been saved, and luckily Hogan's leaving was the mercy killing that it needed. The ridiculous nature of the gimmick, over-reliance in the McMahon family to drive the story, the quick arrival and dismissal of a way too bloated and crazy Piper, having an egotistical and unrealistic one legged wrestler being predominately featured, and somone actually believing that the wrestling aspect of the feud would be carried by Sean OHaire are all the factors that killed the angle dead on arrival. Actually, any one of those factors could kill any angle.

For some reason, I really like scenes that are like that. It's also more fun to talk about bands that are interconnected....you get to sound real smart.

Sloan defnitely should have gotten it. It's amazing that a team with such a lack of talent on paper was able to convincingly have a winning season and be only 1 game out of the playoffs. Hell, on paper everyone thought the Jazz would be a joke. Every impact free agent they approached turned them down (this summer I wished long and hard for them to get Elton Brand). Hubie was also deserving, but a little less. The Griz has guys like Miller, Gasol, Williams, and Wells who are all good players and needed direction to get effective. Basically, Sloan was able to have a slightly less successful season with much less talent available to them.

76ers management and Allen Iverson have both gone on the record to say that AI will remain in Philly, and that they/him do not want a trade that would result in him leaving. The Sixers have strong merch/ticket sales, and that is mostly because of Iverson. I'm sure they will be super-accommodating to him after the debacle that was this season.

I was thinking the same. They'll propably bring out Cena, though.

It would be very interesting to see Turner getting back into wrestling. Imagine how insane it would be if he wound up getting Paul Heyman to run it.
-
He's kinda like The Shadow or The Phantom. When you're making comparisons like that, it doesn't bode well for the movie. Yeah, but in the day that they were created, super detective driven radio serials were all the rage.

New Universe was pretty much Shooter's undoing at Marvel.

SpiderPoet nailed KC. I really liked the McKay/Spectre subplot.

What the hell?

Hirohito will wind up being played by that sucky Japanese wrestler that everyone bitches about being signed.

That was a good promo.

DUH. Just like Taker still hangs out with Paul Bearer even though the guy FUCKED HIS MOTHER. You would too if the guy who got with your mom was named Percy.

That was wrong on so many levels...but still funny. You get a gold star. Where did Gail go? I didn't even see her run away. I didn't think anything was wrong with that until you said something.

Well you have to psyche your self up some how. So who is Kane going to feud with next?
-
Well that was pointless.
-
Here's the Matt Hardy/Kane feud we've alld dreamed of. And why the hell isn't Lita getting out of the ring?
-
Very cool.
