^^ Good point. Credible was protected in how he was booked.

All our prayers and dreams have been answered.

My biggest gripe with Danzig is that he pretty much abandoned the whole Misfits band. He also tried to screw members out of royalties from the band in the 90s, and owed Jerry and Doyle money back from when they were still together. But in the end, it all worked out. Danzig gets to retain publishing rights to all the 77-83 material, artwork, and such. Jerry and Doyle gained the right to be able to perform/record/use the name Misfits. And they all agreed on this, so no one should say that Danzig got screwed.

It's not like they haven't had sex before. I bet he's going to have to tape his good quad for the honey moon.

Hollywood Tells Hunter: You're No Austin or Rock

anytime something bad happens to Triple and Nipple H, an angel gets their wings -
I've listened to both LoG albums. I can't get into them. The second one was definitely better than the first, but I just couldn't get into them, they sounded to me to be boring and repetitive. As for playing live, they're really bad.

I crap myself thinking about this. I hope the second half of the tour roles through my area, as I love God Forbid and am only mildly amused by Unearth. I hope if it comes near me that it's not the show with Lamb of God headlining. THey're terrible live and on album.

I disagree - I'd say either Mommy, Can I ... or Die, Die My Darling. Or, for those that only know Misfits songs due to Metallica, the Last Caress/Green Hell combo. I'd go with Teenagers from Mars, but then again, that is my favorite Misfits song. I'm quite partial to "Teenagers from mars" too.

I'm a *huge* Misfits fan (if this was a SAT question in the analogy section it would be Steviekick:Misfits to CoreyLazarus416:ShadowsFall). The obvious answer is the Danzig lead Misfits, because that was when all they're classic material was put out. Anytime some band covers a Misfits song it will be from that era. There will never be another band to be able to pull off a horror punk sound like them. However, the Newfits do deserve some credit for what they're doing. It's not like they're trying to rip off songs so that everything sounds like it was from "Earth A.D." They show a lot more 50's rock/pop sensibilities to them, kind of like the Ramones (after all, they did work with Daniel Rey, who produced some of the latter Ramones stuff). The Misfits made their legacy while Danzig was at the helm, so that is what their best stuff is. I don't think that the Newfits are taking away from the band's, they're doing something different. And it's still better than so much of the other "punk" stuff that has came out since their return.

Talking with a beat behind it does not a melody make. Give me The Roots any day of the week. Yeah, but listening to the Roots and Tupac is comparing two totally different styles. Both are still rap.
-
The new GNR is a good band, but they're not helping their credibilty by waiting so long to put anything out.

I'm pretty sure Kaz is off in Japan.

I don't fully agree with your Tupac argument, but I can see where you are coming from. I do definitely agree with your thoughts on Eminem and Beasties.

I think they've been doing a good job so far. It's certainly more interesting than I thought the feud would be, and they haven't resulted to stupid Katie Vick like skits to further it.
-
Tupac and Biggie didn't change the rap world as far as doing something new is concerned. They just happened to be two really talented rappers who had great lyrics/flow, who publicly feuded with each other, and happened to have the same tragic ending.

I thought their song on that Arnold Schwarzenager movie in 1999 (i forget the name...i'd like to say Endless Days) sucked. I hope this one is better.

Damn tooting. I wouldn't even mind if they had a bio feature on it like "Hulk Rules". IMO that's the best DVD they have released.

or he could come out and be unburnt and they'll be like "OMG~! BAH GAWD HE'S INVINCIBLE~! HE'S THE STATUE MADE OF CLAY~!"

I'm going with Roadrunner being out of NYC. The only other real metal label from up there is Sanctuary. Century Media is based out of Cali., and when Nuclear Blast closed up its stateside office, they moved their business/personell over to Century Media's office.
