Kind of mediocre, but I do like what they are trying to do with it. Much better than anything on St. Anger.

I don't think this is as much about selling out, but as an opportunity. In some of his interview on why he chose HH over last year's ONS, he said it was because the WWE needed competition, and the more promotions/shows is better for the business as a whole. This year, there is no HH for him to do again, and it seems that the WWE honsetly is trying something different which makes Funk interested in being in the new ECW.

I wish they would re-release more of the classic shirts, but with the distressed/jagged printing style to make it look fake retro.

Holy fuck!!! That's what I got!

You've got to love G'Nort.

Best part of this is that Angle will have a lighter schedule. Hopefully he can take care of himself.

Kurt Angle was an ECW Triple Crown winner on Earth 77

WHAT THE FUCK!!!

Didn't they just take Mercury off the active roster due to substance problems?

I love how this thread has turned into the Crisis of Infinite WWEs.

Oh my God, I bet that's the angle they run with. Paul Bearer has had the real Kane locked up again, and he just escaped! It makes an odd sort of sense. Why Kane was the "happy freak" character in fall 2002, why it took only one tombstone for Taker to beat him at WMXX, why he suddenly had the desire to have a family via Lita in 2004. I can see them using it as a ret con for the past 4 years of crap they've done to the character. Kane has more retcon than Superman's origins. More like Wonder Woman

Well if Kane II is the originals, this makes the Katie Vick angle finally make sense.

It would be funny if a different Kane would come out each week.

Um, Nas? I know that they effectively put the feud to rest late last year at I Declare War, but Jay-Z and Nas were feuding for years, prior to that. And I'm not sure I'd consider the Linkin Park collaboration to be smart either, commercial success be damned. The smartest "collaboration" decision he ever made was releasing the tracks for The Black Album, which spawned a pretty impressive run of mashup remix albums. All that being said, Jay-Z does actually fit into the discussion very well, for many of the other reasons you stated above. I think the fact that the Nas feud is over kind of falls into the image of power and respect that he exhibits in his music. I mean, his rival now works for him and they are both cool about it.

I think the biggest problem is that people's taste in music is to diverse and distinct. The beauty of Generation Y/iGeneration is that it is extremely easy to move on from mainstream music and acceptable to be an indie snob or a metalhead or like underground rap. That said, I would say that Jay Z is the voice of this generation. His body of work is varied, and he is one of the few to have mainstream, commercial, critical, and popular acclaim. He has also been able to not fall into the cliche of being a rapper, as he's avoided petty feuds, legal trouble, and turning into a parody of himself. His collaborations are usually smart, and he has been able to crossover to the TRL crowd, most rap fans, and was even getting play on rock stations with "99 Problems" and his collaborations with Linkin Park. Look at his musical accomplishments, like running his record label, opening restaurants and clothing lines, and being a co-owner of a sports franchise. He's definitely changed the perception of what it is to be a successful artist.

I just did. The rest of you better do your part.

This has been insane. I wonder if this was rigged to help save the Raptors.

So what you are trying to say is Colossus is a member of the Super Adventure Club?

All of these are really cool characters. Save for his mullet, I like Longshot. His character doesn't fit in with the rest of the X-Clan, thanks to his optimism and naivety, not to mention his strong sense of right and wrong. I love how they revealed that Guido was a scrawny child who got picked on constantly as a child. And Madrox has been really awesome the last few years. It's not that there are really bad characters, it is that they are awefully written. My vote for worst X-Character is Jubilee, hands down.

Heh. I liked the Pulse. I do wholeheartedly agree with you that he overexposes Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
