What I don't understand is why they let Kid Kash be part of their "wrestling court" team. He's barely been with the company!

The One and Only Raw Thread for February 27th, 2006

McMahons/Rockers would have been perfectly acceptable for WM, but this isn't going to be good at all. How mobile will Vince be in a match...didn't he tear both quads last year? -

Well, if they're going with HBK vs. Shane at SNME, I guess that means we're stuck with HBK/Vince at WM. -

Well, at least the SNME announcement ended it. -
Wizard spill the beans on DC One Year Later

Doen't DC also do the series Loveless or something with Azzarello writing it? True. But Hex has a built in fan base. -

Hex will propably do alright, since it's the only western theme comic. It has a bit of buzz because the character hasn't been used in a while. -

I thought they died in the first issue as well. -

The teams for Action Comics, Wonder Woman, and Batman look pretty good. It's a good thing that rest of those are mini series, because they propably wouldn't make it past 12 issues. -
While we're talking about random practical trade ideas, I just checked this out on RealGm and it work... NY trades Jamal Crawford to UT for Matt Harpring and Milt Palacio I know I'm propably biased since I am a Jazz fan, but UT would get a shooting guard who can ACTUALLY shoot, and the Knicks would get two expiring contracts.

I'm still trying to figure out whether I'll buy the monthly copies of 52 or just get the trades. It's going to get expensive either way.

It won't do anything but lower the value of the figure. If it was an error and the missing arm was not in the package it might be more valuable, but only to the handful of people who collect defective toys. I'd pass on it.

Actually, it was two distinct posts...the second one was by Steviekick of Earth-4.

That's a hell of a lot of extra Earths.

That press conference wasn't that bad. Definitely sold the JJ/Xian match very well, as well as Monty's eventual face turn. Why does Austin Aries look like Prince tonight?

ECW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Steviekick replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Due to Sabu scoring the pinfall in the N2R 6-man (RVD/Sabu/Taz vs. Triple Threat), he won the #1 contendership to the ECW World title. Taz and Sabu fought for the FTW title, and after breaking Sabu's neck via Dragon Tazplex through a table propped up in the corner (to take him out of the title match due to injury), and then pulled Sabu on top of him for the 1-2-3 so that Taz was title-less (and thus Douglas couldn't duck him anymore, as Taz was the #2 contender). I also believe that Douglas paid Taz to take Sabu out, and Taz agreed only if he would get a title shot afterwards. Douglas agreed, thinking Taz would be the FTW champion so that he wouldn't have to defend the World title against him, but Taz outsmarted him. That's pretty much what happened. The Sabu/Taz match for the FTW belt was pretty good. -
Just noticed that no one started a thread. They bleaped Xian saying "bastard". What's up with that?

This is a heck of a question...Will Eisner and Jack Kirby are amazing as far as technique and layout is concerned. Jim Lee and Neal Adams are both great with their ultra clean art. Byrne and Perez draw stuff that looks definitive.

I'd say that Slipknot is metal, but definitely not a good example of one. Kinda off topic, but where did the name "nu-metal" come from to describe rap-rock bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit?

Wasn't Allen Iverson the first to say he'd be in?

Whats with all the hate for Kill Bill v1? You really can't judge it by itself, since Kill Bill was shot in the intent of being one movie and only split into two volumes in post production.

Ignore this one....

Like Agent, they were my favorite band till I was 14. Then they released Mellon Collie, which really should not have been a double album. Too much of the material on it was really filler. From that point on, I really stopped caring for any of their new material. It all sounded the same. I did like Zwan a lot.
