Once again, Justice and Rule vs. Deja Vu, my best comedy match ever. Fugue and Ejiro breaking out Ginyu Force poses in Zed's New Year's Promo, and then Ejiro's response promo where he busts out THE AMERICAN GLADIATORS (If I remembered correctly). And JL Mag 7's Christmas letters to the WF. Those were great.

Wow, thanks for the mention, Danny . My other one would be Justice and Rule vs. Deja Vu. Pure fun at it's best, I'd argue the funniest WF match of the year, and it still managed to be pretty damn believable.

Atlas vs. Crow vs. Blackwell. Just fantastic work with everyone and a markout ending.

I'm sure our relations would be a lot different with France right now had 9/11 happened over there. It's really almost impossible to tell how different everything would be had 9/11 happened somewhere else.

True. But why choose the United States? Canada, to take a random example, also has a different (majority) religion. Canadians and Americans have comparable standards of living; certainly, any difference is infinitesimally smaller than the difference between Canadians and Arabs. Why not Canada? Why not France? Why not Italy? Because neither Canada, nor France, nor Italy is as implacable and deadly a threat to tyranny. Because America is known throughout the world as a beacon of liberty, justice, and tolerance. Because America is the most powerful nation in the history of the world. We were attacked because we are Americans. It's more the fact that America has some of the most noticeable landmarks in the world. Where outside America could have been attacked that provoked so much media coverage and spread the word of Bin Ladin? Big Ben, Effiel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, CN Tower...

Would just like to call the opening promo, since I don't see that anyone has anymore.

Not a bad entrance. I personally prefer a little more banter on stuff like their styles and the strategies they should use to in the match agaisnt their opponent and all that jazz. Everyone does it differently, though, and as long as you put what you think you need into it, you'll be fine. I like the attack before the bell, but I don't think I would have used the Superkick with a chair spot. It's cool and all, but it's a pretty damn strong move and I think the beatdown before the bell is just a bit too much unless you wanted to play the "Face gets huge beatdown, heel dominates with a few comeback teases, big comeback... and shutdown". I don't feel that vibe going here right now. I dislike the second use of the Superkick, especially this early on. After taking that pretty big beating, a Superkick should be something close to a finisher (I'm not really infavor of it being a transition move this early in a match anyways). Maybe replacing it with a forearm smash or even an armdrag to go right back to that arm work would be a better spot. The action is pretty good so far. I like the classic "Use the ropes to choke the guy" stuff, which is always a great thing to do to get you over as a prick. I love the wraparound DDT reversal, but I don't think that Landon should have immediately gone on the attack again. He's just starting to get offense in now after the heel has been controlling the match. Maybe have him sell your offense a little more by having him kinda catch his breath on the ropes, Brian gets back up and Landon blocks a punch and then starts a flurry of him rather than have him pop back up and go on the offensive immediately. Again, more good action. The Monkey toss is good, though having it to the floor is an interesting touch. I might have had him hit the canvas and then roll out to regroup, and have Maddix follow, but it's not bad here. Nice brawling on the outside and I mark for the eyepoke . I'm not sure if we use a 10 count or WCW's Cruiser 20 count. I always thought we used a 10. Minor quibble, nothing to really worry about. I think the Shining Wizard would have been a better place to use another fall rather than the diving lariat. More convincing. I like the rolling Germans, but having him spin around for a clothesline and turning that into a belly to belly is awkward. Have him break the hold on the second German, hit the ropes, and that's a bit better. The ref bump is set up well, though you probably should have given Landon a false finish there after the missed Superkick. Maybe hit the Wraparound or the Fishamanbusta then right after it, have them do the false finish, and then have him bust out the YMCA Elbow. After that, the finish works quite is done quite well. I'm not a fan of the after match beatdown. Again, too much. A beltshot would have done fine, but the DDT and the stretcher job... meh. Overall: Not a bad match. Maybe a little more action would have been nice, but not bad for a rookie. I think you need to get more of an internal storyline happening in your match, like the one I named up above (Imperiled face vs. strong heel). It'll give the match direction, which this match really lacked; they just seemed to be doing the moves, but not with a purpose or building up to something. Check out some Danny Williams matches. He really has a great handle on how to mesh a subtle storyline into his match and slowly have it unfold. It's really great. I know I have a lot of negative things to say, but don't take it hard. You have a lot of talent, you just lack some experience, which you'll gain soon enough. I look forward to reading more of your work, and hopefully I'll be seeing it in the show next time .

Some general writing comments, nothing on the match itself: You write pretty damn well. For a rookie you have a good balance of description and action in there. It's not really hard to tell what's going on and your structure doesn't break up the flow of the match. It's actually very easy on the eyes, which can get you some points in the sense that if a match is easier to look at and read it doesn't feel like work. Your commentary is above average. You don't really stand out with anything fantastic, but it's not really required. Danny Williams, one of the MEer's in the WF, admittedly has pretty generic commentary. But the thing is he uses the commentary well to put over moves, spots, selling, and psyche. You use me well enough, but don't play off Ejiro and Annie as just comedic. Try and use them put over the heel and face respectively and inject comedy into that. But still, it's pretty good for a new guy. I'm making up actual comments for the match itself in a few minutes. I'm just posting these so you know that someone is making some comments.

I can imagine him just thinking "... Wait, what the FUCK?" when that question was asked.

Tyler, I can't watch the debates. What was the question?

With all the hate, they should really settle this in a TLC match. You can put the nomination on a card above the ring for them to reach for. *Imagines Teddy Long run-in to secure Sharpton's Candidacy.

(Y) @ Something light-hearted and funny being posted. Been a long while. And "Whoo" @ being a small part of the making of this promo.

NO-SHOW AND YOU’RE GONE MATCH Tommy Nguyen vs. Craig McClennan - Craig writes a haiku, Nguyen goes the way of the Dodo. NEWBIE MATCH Brian Bowers vs. Daemon - Bowers. TV TITLE MATCH Landon “La Cucharacha” Maddix© vs Dominic Korgath - I think Maddix has had a great run with the title, but it's time to give it to someone else and shoot for higher goals. Korgath to win, and Maddix to move up into contention for the Euro. FOUR CORNERS MATCH Jay Morrison vs Todd Royal vs Brian Kingsmen vs Aecas - Aecas is back?! Well, that's good. Anyways, I'm guessing we will be getting good showings from everyone, but I think Aecas will take it, though Royal stands a very good chance as well. MAIN EVENT WORLD TITLE MATCH English Dragon vs Hollywood Spike Jenkins© - DRAGON

Wow, Chris is almost as deformed as I pictured him

You aren't? damn. Fooled me. Anyway Militay bases in Canada are sometimes very close to civilian places. Wow, aren't we the condescending prick. My mistake, our soldiers and generals LOVE killing innocent people! It's not as though they are normal human beings with families and friends and morals and all that... We showed quite well in the bombing of Baghdad how precise our bombs can hit. Don't think that we'll suddenly start carpet bombing you guys. ' You have around 40,000 soldiers in your army TOTAL and as you've mentioned you are the second biggest country in the world. There wouldn't be this massive number of troops in the Rockies like you are suddenly assuming. And that wouldn't help them anyways. Geographically speaking, when it comes to fighting us, unless you welcome Armageddon it's a real big task, especially considering that we have the greatest Navy in the World. Far more self-sufficent than you give us credit for. If anything, limiting trade would hurt other countries more than us. You know that we are one of the few countries that has large surpluses of food? Do you that Canada is one of the other ones? If the world doesn't want to starve, they'd probably not boycott us. All we would need to do is send them back, saying "Their presence really isn't needed right now". It doesn't require immediately killing them. I don't doubt the hardiness of Canadian troops. I probably know much more of their victories and failures than you do. But considering they are grossly outnumbered and most likely giong to be on the receiving end of a Surprise attack. Wrong. The things you mentioned (Hydroelectric, Powerplants and such) are only a hundred or so miles away. They are plane drop away from us no problem. And if they are guarded by Canadian troops, that spreads out their numbers and effectiveness even more. Sorry, but Candian regulars not expecting anything aren't likely to be able to go up against US Special Forces (They would be used in vital areas like this where things need to be taken intact), especially when they aren't even expecting it. No, it would be pretty easy. Don't fool yourself. And if you'd like to note, a lot of things have changed since 1812. Not sure if you knew that.

I concur. Congrads to everyone besides those involved in the Main Event. To those in the Main Event, well, I'm very disappointed.

It's between WC and Grand Slam. That's all I know.

ANNIE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *Weeps while playing "I Get Wet" over and over again.* Edit: Okay, sorry there. This came as a big shock to me because it came, well, out of the fricken blue. To say it's sad for me is an understatement because I always enjoyed facing and working with Annie, even though our feud never really finished; that was probably the feud I had the most ideas for, and it was my first big feud. I really wish I had used half the spots and promos I had thought up for that sucker. Thankfully you'll be in chat so we'll see you still, but... yeah. Anyways, you will be missed, and I hope you all the luck in the world in your future endevors. Sa-LUTE! *Salutes*

Wow, now who is guilty of taking it too literally . Considering that we were handling the situation in Iraq, the Army, Navy, and Air Force would have almost definitely called up their reservists, plus National Guard and such. Considering that ANY full scale operation is impossible without setting up some pieces, we could probably have done this and pretty handly beaten the Canadians. True, then again we aren't in the business of killing civilians. A Canadian Soldier wearing a uniform is pretty easy to identify. Then again if we just out of the blue attacked you, you'd probably have little chance of even getting to the Rockies (Your military forces, that is). You might have a small militia there, but I highly doubt anything outside of that. Chemical weapons? No because we don't use those. But large bombs? Are you serious? There'd be no problem with those. Not as much as you think. We are pretty self suficient no matter what you think. And hey, the UN couldn't declare war because we'd just veto the proposal. How's that for irony? Indeed. My father is Canadian. Then again, if the military was planning a large operation against Canada you don't think they would have taken care of possible liabilities in their own service? If this did just happen out of the blue, those would be captured within the first few HOURS of an offensive. Lumber? We have lumberjacks, and I'm sure they'd like the Canadian NW. Sorry man, but Canada wouldn't stand a chance in a war, no matter what you think.
