Cowboy Junkies - Sweet Jane

Loveless is actually their third album. I haven't heard their first album, but by all accounts, it's terrible. The second album, Isn't Anything, is like 3/4 Loveless. Almost genius, but not quite. Loveless, of course, is a masterpiece. So, yeah, I'd say they definetely improved.

Please, have you even heard In Through The Out Door? It's horrid. I'd say Zeppelin peaked around Houses Of The Holy, and it was downhill since. I can't really think of any others. The Beatles are the obvious choice here, but besides them, I can't think of any.

The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love

I'm not really sure, to be honest. It's the only album of his I really sit down and listen to the whole way through, as opposed to, say, Blonde On Blonde or Highway 61 Revisited where I'll skip over several of the songs. John Wesley Harding doesn't have many highlights, it's just incredibly consistant. Blood On The Tracks seems to the the consensus answer here, although I've only heard Idiot Wind and Tangled Up In Blue, both great songs. I need to pick up a copy of that, and it might change my mind.
