Jobbing to Jeff via countout? WTF are they doing?
-
split legged blown spot!

I can't buy somebody with a head that huge and scarred selling that wussy kick like death. WTF.

is also on Virtual Console today. It's also the only one I'm getting. Best console pinball game period, IMO.

1up, but pretty much only for: Retronauts Jeremy Parish's output and coverage Scott Sharkey's humor features. Broken Pixels segments (hosted on Gamevideos). The reviews are usually pretty decent, but the reporting is really weak (anything from Klepek is usually biased, bullshit or both), and Shane and Milky are terrible writers, the former being kind of a moron, the latter a complete jackass. IGN I find a joke, and their reviews seem really biased towards moneyhats. Typos, factual errors, and them just being flat out wrong is an all too common occurance. Gamespot's reviewers I flat out disagree too much with to give any credence to. Their newly-revamped review system is even more silly and inscrutible than the last one. Their text reviews often seem decent enough, but the video reviews are basically pure pain. Game Spy: Solid reviews. Occasionally decent extra features. It's more of a good base reading I use when looking at gamerankings/metacritic, though. I rarely think "oh, lemme see what Gamespy thought" and type the URL in. GamePro: It stinks. You'd ASSUME so but I keep checking back, expecting them to stop sucking some day. They rarely disappoint in their overall low standards. They should just bring the Bored Guy to EXTREME DUDE GUY ranking scale; it's better than Gamespot's new system at least.

I'm sorry, but I can't be hyped for "such a such day the TEASER" is released" or "OMG TEASER SPOILERS!!" That's insane levels of hype, and annoys me whether it's a movie, game, whatever. Doesn't really tell you anything substantial, either.
-
I guess it would be less dignified than choking to death on a pretzel. Oh, and Cheney was only prez for 3 hours, not the whole day.

Lots and lots of people played SotN. It *was* on the most popular console of its time and it even got a reprinting. If you want to talk a Castlevania few people played that has a lot of hype around it, look no further than Rondo of Blood. If the PSP remake reveals the game isn't really all that hot, there's still a portable SotN in the deal. If you really wanted to play Sonic CD, there were plenty of ways to play it before Gems Collection, though. The PC version, plus you could buy a cheap Sega CD version and emulate the hardware on a PC. Rondo iso and a Magic Engine emulator is a bit tougher.

Yup. 9 posts on one page? That's how I "reposted" something he posted, incidentally. And it sounds like it happened once. Oh no! I have low tolerance for such a puffed-up, pretentious person (LOOK, I HAVE PHILOSOPHER QUOTES IN MY SIG! I SO SMART HUUUURRR!) who ironically makes personal attacks against people when he argues. Grow up. A garden-variety troll doesn't know better, you have no excuse. Absolutely wrong. That's a gross overestimation. However, you might see WWM bitching in a lot of posts I never see. That's really about all he does about anything. Tell WWM to get over it and stop bawling about it. He's so sad I won't play with him anymore he's unable to accept that I don't care about what he has to say. If nobody argues with him on this board he doesn't really feel he has any purpose. Venk knows him and has been periodically acting as his messenger boy about the matter, and has been quoting his posts. He says he's stopped, though.

I'm talking about the previously-mentioned 2D fighter based on Devil Kings, not the original game.
-
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p...amp;postcount=1 Okay, so by "real time strategy game" I guess what some sites meant was "Dynasty Warriors clone." Okay, so Devil Kings is becoming Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear is becoming Devil Kings. Now *that* makes sense.

Come on--Phantom bloody Hourglass! I'm sure it will be tinkled out of an upcoming Dojo announcement.

Mentioned by another poster for Wii in the Wii thread-- But Bully is getting a bonus-content 360 edition: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6175369.html
-
Bully's also coming to 360. It was a sleeper hit on PS2 after price drops, but right now they're hesitant to make a full-blown sequel, so they're porting to other systems with bonus content. They could also be trying to tick Jack Thompson off, since there's nothing he can do to Take Two directly.

NAns use it mainly for inanimate objects or just a way of saying something is spasming, hence why we don't find it offensive. Although I've heard many a kid use "spaz" as an insult without apparently understanding what it was derived from. I've never heard it used in TV or movies, though, let alone used by an adult.
-
No, you're wrong. The "spastic" word is indeed in there but you got the context wrong. The screenshot with the actual quote here: http://www.destructoid.com/mario-in-disabi...er--35211.phtml It's Ubisoft's Mind Quiz that calls you spastic: http://www.eurogamer.net/article_discussio...rticle_id=78720 Well, isn't that special?

The most info I've seen about the gameplay: Sounds like the strat game in SC3...which I didn't ever bother with, but everyone MEHed it.
-
Well, first off, insults and ad hominems are not the grounds for a solid argument, but I know you mean it in jest, and aren't bragging about your supposed mastery of debating, pretending people actually care, all the while putting yourself on an imaginary moral high ground when somebody gets sick of you. So that's cool. Secondly, communists (or at least communist leaders) do believe in advertising, just advertising one specific thing: the idealogy or symbols thereof. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp...hairman_Mao.jpg And personally, after 7 years of the current administration, I'd be willing to try a little good ol' fashioned socialism for a while.

Capcom is making a new 2D fighter, Sengoku Basara X. The previous game came out here as Devil Kings and was a pretty good Dynasty Warriors/Musou clone. Arc System Works is making a new 3D Guilty Gear. Not a one-on-one fighter, but a real time strategy game.

Game sites dedicated to reviewing games are really noncommittal on the quality of a title when previewing, generally. Joystiq is just a gaming blog, meaning they can and will express whatever opinion they really feel on a story or a title, even based on a playable demo. You're not going to hear statements like the ones in the joystiq article from a Gamespot editor, at least until a reviewable copy is in.

What's wrong with ads in games? I dunno, maybe that we have ads on TV, radio, the internet, magazines, newpapers, billboards, buses, and the sky? Today, video games, tomorrow, dreams!
-
Fortunately for Namco, the game will still mistakenly be attributed to the Death By Degrees team, I'm sure. And this is why so many Wii owners shit all over this game's announcement; because suckage was basically guaranteed. Namco really wants you to buy a PS3.
-
I'd wait a month or so for the 360; when it's CONFIRMED the smaller chipsets are being shipped, and to increase the likelyhood you'll end up getting one. What that amounts to, is basically getting a 360 that isn't already broke when you take it out of the box.

Also, there's nothing really worth paying for anyway. Remembering and passing along friend codes is annoying, and *both* folks must add each other, no games currently offer any really satisfying online multiplayer except for Strikers, it appears, and few 3rd parties are using it since Nintendo was withholding the tools to get online games working. While it's still unknown when Manhunt 2 will actually come out, R*/Take Two has something else in the pipeline...
