Just picked up the Orange Box today from work, and I must say Portal is one trippy game. I got a little motion sick when I first started playing, but it started to become really fun once I got past that. I'll probably mess around in TF 2 for a little while, because I want to try this wacky Xbox Live thing out.

The game play videos I've seen so far made the game seem kind of arcade-y. Samoa Joe busted out his hilarious fat man head scissors.

........so you didn't play 2007? I played it a couple of times, but I changed the controller scheme to be like the older games. When I went through the control set up in the 08 demo, you only had two choices. The second one required the dpad for movement which through me off a litlte bit. D-pad movement is old school. I actually prefer d-pad movement in wrestling game over the analog stick. It's also just the demo, so there's still a chance you will be able to have more options to change the control sceme in the actual game. Please don't tell me Corvon's finisher is the armbar. It's not the pounce? Period. Haha yeah I know, but I'm a youngin man. I'll I know is the analog stick. I just played the demo again today, and once you get used to the controls it's actually kind of fun to play. Rey also does a springboard Phoenix Splash. Wrap your mind around that shit.

I work at Hollywood Video, so the adjacent Game Crazy just gave me a demo. The controls are really hard to get used to because they changed EVERYTHING. You have to use the right analog stick to grapple and I don't know if you can change the grapple button to the B Button. I played a hardcore match with Orton and his Super RKO is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. EDIT: The submission system is also very weird because I have no clue how my opponent breaks the hold. I guess it didn't matter though since i made Taker tap out in about 5 minutes with a double chickenwing.

Austin Aries' flurry on Samoa Joe at Final Battle 04 can still give me chills. They had been building up the fact that Aries had been doing some training in the New Japan Dojo, and it came into play when Aries just hits beautifully timed kick to the face and finishes Joe with the Brainbuster/450 combo. The match where Marufuji beat Taue for the GHC had an insane ending sequence. Taue goes for an avalanche chokeslam, but Maru backflips out, superkicks Taue-PERFECT CRADLE~!!-new GHC Champ.
